Sonny as always, took care of business.
He promised Kristina he would get Connie to release Trey and that's exactly what he did.
He also made sure Connie was there to say good bye to her son.

Thought Kristina did a good job today.
She had tears streaming down her face and the way she draped herself over Trey's body was heartfelt and tragic. Good job to all the actors at the bedside.

Lucy must be having some kind of allergic reaction to the duck in the relish.
She has never been a favorite of mine and still isn't.

Carly knows better then to drink and drive. That scene was very unrealistic .
Why not just call her a cab or if AJ hates her so much, he should have called the police as soon as she got behind the wheel.

On Friday's show, Connie called AJ , BJ and now every time I see him, I think BJ.

I posted thus to late on last weeks show so will post it here in today's recap.

For all who are interested there is a post on ABC's General Hospital message board about SB leaving GH and moving to Tennessee.
It is from TV Guide's interview with JPF on her bringing SB to Y&R and her negotiations with him while she was still at GH to give him a contract so he could move his family to Tennessee and still stay at GH.
She said they had negotiated that for SB at GH when she was still there and NOW only 5 weeks ago she had negotiated this type of contract at Y&R.

They asked her... Back when he was having unsuccessful talks with GH did you say, "Don't worry, Steve, I'll always give you a job at YandR"?
    She said...
Oh, I'm willing to bet I said something like that. [Laughs] But jokingly! Contrary to whatever rumors are out there, I promise you I did not lure him away from GH nor did he leave GH to come to YandR.

I think my post above does speak to why SB wanted to leave GH. It was scheduled time off.

I thought Trey's death scenes were very well done. Very Sad.Olivia's monolog to Trey was very poignant. The Falconari's would have raised him if they had known about him. A young life waisted.
Loved the scenes between Sam and Monica.
    Lucy, Vampires!! Really!!!
Todd still trying to slide out from under the charges and if not escape and run away. I am really tired of his character. At least Sonny usually owns what he does. Anything Todd does is not his fault.

lovely: As you posted over the weekend, when Steve's contract was up for renewal, it was when they were giving payCUTS not raises.
To think money had nothing to do with it, makes NO sense to me.
He moved his family to Tennessee , one of the tax friendliest states in the US.
And, there is NOTHING wrong with that.
I don't think he thought they would call his bluff and I don't think his departure has really hurt the show.

    Good luck to him!

Just as Sam is getting adjusted and accepting Jason's death, he will surface alive and well. What will he find? Sam in the arms of John McBain. TYPICAL SOAP....

I just bet Carly will sleep with A.J. These women have no strength to be without a man.

Todd telling Johnny he bedded Carly.... He has no class and little respect for women.

Goodbye Tray. So sad. Sonny may get his love back....

Wow, lots of drama on Twitter w/ NLG. She attacked a fan and called them a loser. She then deleted her tweets.

Off to read the update and comments.

Aw, so happy to see Sam w/ little Danny. I guess he’s not baby Cheeto anymore. So cute….I might catch their scene just to see that little cutie patootie. I’m also glad to see Monica doting over Danny. I had hoped we would see more of that when it included Jason. I guess not.

Here’s Sonny again being a bully. I see nothing has changed.

Unicorn, loved your comment about Carly being the low-life heifer. So true. She & AJ deserve each other.

Why is Olivia so emotional about Trey dying? It’s not like they were close or anything.

Oh gee, the vampire stuff is on tomorrow’s episode. So my spoilers were correct. I had hoped they were wrong. At least, it would only be one day of it to cope with.

    Happy to see no Waldo.

Clemben, you’re correct. Michael Easton and the character of John McBain are going back to OLTL. He had so much potential on this show but they tried to capitalise on his past storyline of Caleb & Livvy which flopped. When he showed up, we coined the name McEverywhere and the viewers just got sick of seeing him pop up everywhere Sam was. They ruined it and his character not just in Port Charles but also w/ Natalie.

Um, I guess that’s it. A boring episode.

    Hello everyone,
What nice scenes between Sonny, Connie, Michael, Star, Alexis and Kristina, as they were saying goodbye to Trey. It's funy, because in reading the recap, I could really feel the emotions that everyone was feeling as they were saying goodbye. I only wish that I could feel that in the acting as well, but with Kristina, it's so hard to feel any sympathy for her. Connie, I could feel simpathy toward her, but she doesn't make it easy for me to feel it either, because she had acted like she could care less about him, and now all of a sudden, she's trying to make up for lost time because he's going to be taken off life support? Give me a break! I will say that it was nice of Newk to let her pull the plug on Trey with her.

I do agree with Michael that Tracy can sometimes be decent. So true!

Okay Sam, enough talk about Jason and how you need to accept a life without him. Let's start to see that. Shal we?
Lucy was hilarious when she just walked into the house, and thought the dinner that was prepared by Tracy was like an all star mean. lol! she added a lot of humor to this borring episode.
    .

    Jonny/Tod, could care less about.

Hope everyone has a good evening, and will post on tomorrow's GH, and as I read comments from today!

Thanks Rans I can't help but think money had something to do with SB reasoning as well as time off so he could fly back and forth to be with his family. JPF gave him both. Can't blame him either.
