I enjoyed Patrick & Roberts scenes. They needed to have that talk. Patrick hugging him was very sweet.

I really did get a good laugh when I saw Shawn's message to Sonny. I had to wonder if Sonny was going to respond with "the dog barks at midnight". Just remembering the classic 1960's spy spoofs.

Greetings from sunny Melbourne this morning.

We all knew it was coming but it’s still sad to read about Edward’s passing. I want to watch this episode but then again, I don’t because I know I’ll cry. Then we have Sam telling Edward that baby Cheeto is Jason’s son. Tears.

What the hell is wrong w/ McBain? He seems to be pouncing on a seemingly grieving widow. Go Sam! She told McBlah where to go and rightly so. Why is he so intrusive. She’s just not that into you dude! Loved that Sam stood her ground. That’s my girl. I’m really enjoying Michael bonding w/ Sam and Cheeto. Like a true nephew. I’m inclined to watch their scenes today.

I believe AJ is trying to turn a new leaf but I don’t fully trust him yet.

mama, I saw the worldwide trend of Team Vally last night. Very impressive! I doubt they’ll be voted out tonight. If they were, I’d be very surprised and shocked. Yeah, who is this Melissa person?

No Waldo today? So I don’t need the bleach on hand? Just seeing her name yesterday irritated my poor eyes.

    4ever, how is Grace doing?

    Hi Pumpkin.

I think it's safe to say that for most of us long time viewers and fans of General Hospital, this was an unusually emotional episode because we are all aware that we are not dealing with just another fictional soap character who has supposedly died this time, but the loss of a real man we've been watching fondly for years. I know I've got a great big lump in my throat. It's doubly potent to realize that the actors on our screen aren't really acting this time; they're actually mourning the loss of their fellow artist, co-worker, and friend. I thought everyone involved today, from the actors to the writers, did an exceptional job in dealing with a difficult subject in such an appropriate and touchingly beautiful way. No ambulances racing to the hospital, or last minute operations; no explosions, no violence, and not even a hint of foul play, Edward died peacefully in his own home, in bed, surrounded by his loving family, exactly as it should be. Who could ask for more?

I think the timing of the writers to arrange it so that Edward's memorial and tribute will happen during the Thanksgiving holiday, a time when even families like the Quartermaines come together, was a very fitting and appropriate choice. I also think both Edward, and John Ingle would approve.
