I suppose you're going to tell me that Gunsmoke & Matt Dillon weren't real either. They DIDN'T always catch the bad guys....way to ruin my day....

    Hi everyone,

As expected GH started differently then how it ended. There is now no doubt that Duke shot Jason and then kicked him in the water.
No body recovered, which means the door is open if/when SB returns.
Loved how Sonny jumped in the water to find his most trusted friend.
I can't believe Joe jr. I feel nothing for him. Even with his last breath, he's still lying to Trey and telling him Sonny was the one who shot him. What a great way to continue the vendetta against Sonny by using his son. NOT.
Nice, honest conversation with Sam and John.  After a respectable period of grieving, I would like to see what these two can bring to the screen.
In the meantime Sam's worst nightmare is coming true and I feel she too will be placing blame on Sonny.

In honor of Steve Burton's 21 years on GH, today I wore a black t- shirt under my regulation work clothes. Anybody else honor SB in their own way?

This is needless. Here's another simple way Jason's exit could've been handled without “killing” him off so unceremoniously.

Jason responds to Bernie's call, and finds him wounded on the docks, with Joe Jr. standing over him, who turns to see Jason, drops his gun, and gives up. Jason kills Scummy right there, just as the cops and the press show up to see him do it, capturing the event on live television. Duke watches from the shadows as they arrest Jason, and take Bernie, who has slipped into a coma, to GH. Jason goes before a judge, who rules that he was released conditionally from the prison term he was serving with Michael, and that his mere involvement in a shooting puts him in violation of that agreement. He orders Jason taken back to Pentonville immediately to serve out his original sentence, while he waits to see if any more charges will be filed against him for Scummy's murder. There is nothing Alexis and Diane can do because of the fact that everybody saw Jason shoot a man on TV. Ironically, the video of Scummy's death will become the fitting finale to “Mob Princess,” which will in turn make Trey rich and famous, just like Joe Jr. always wanted. It it will also create a bitter hatred between Trey and Michael.

That way, only Scummy has to die. Jason would still be alive to learn that he is Danny's father, and his sacrifice would've been in the course of saving Bernie's life (who will recover, despite Duke's best efforts, to name Duke Lavatory as the main bad guy), and to avenge Connie's rape, McBat's sister's murder, and the attempt on Nuke's life.

Naturally, Sam would go to see Jason in Pentonville regularly, just like Maxie visits Matt. Maybe they could even ride up there together, and Jason and Matt could be invisible cellmates. Then, whenever Steve is ready to come back, Jason will get released from prison after saving the warden and a bunch of guards' lives during a prison riot.

Wouldn't that make Port Charles a better place, and GH a better show than what we're seeing now?

I kinda like your idea scrimmage for the plot. Somethings would need to be flushed out but it would work.

Lily: Wow! Now that is really something to think about.

Good afternoon everyone! Hope all had a great weekend.

Sad day for Steve Burton fans. Glad they left it open as no body found. The fallout...wow, the fallout. Love, love Sonny.

scrimmage, yes, but what of the actor wanting to leave? --smile---

    *****

also, look at it from the perspective, maybe jason "should" die at this point.

i can't tell you the why's any more than i can tell you the why's on anything.

    but,

jason and sam, one of them, said things are as they should be. he is a hitman, he knew he could die and pay at anytime. he said that in the past.

on another note, they never divorced and filed the paperwork. sam is about to be a rich woman. not that she cares, she will still rock those quarterflash shirts. or maybe she will be like tracy and wear swanky jackets.

baby cheeto is a quartermaine. lets see how that plays out too.

    anyway, jason isn't dead.

i would bet good money on it, and if they never find a body....well that seals the deal for me!!!!!!!!!!

and of course miss sam will always wonder.

I just don't get the Duke motivation. There must be somebody else pulling the strings for him to do that. He did explain to Joe that he wanted the money/power from Sonny because he "needed" it in order to get Anna back?? I don't understand it yet...but there has to be a Faison in the picture or someone like that? It's just not believable yet.

Mamajj: Congratulations!! I know you have been patiently trying to get in there and your persistence has paid off! I am very sorry to hear what you have been going through with your ex, but the job is step 1 towards complete independence. Good luck with it!
