Raineysmom- so sorry to hear about your friend’s niece battle with Leukemia. Today while running the Chicago Marathon I noticed all the runner’s running for “Team in Training” that benefits the Leukemia Association. I thought about and prayed for your friend throughout my run.

Lily- I know the SO had to be disappointed by the PACKERS loss to COLTS. I hope he was able to enjoy the day with friends, I know he had to enjoy the delicious cake you made. GO BEARS!

    GO SAINTS.

GO BILLS & 49er’s---may the beat team win. You never know, I might want to go into politics. LOL

    GO JETS.

    GO RAVENS.

    All off topic -
rans - Good luck to the Bills. mamajj - Good luck to San Fran (not that they need it).

bayou - Put away that bag, unless you're stamping the LV logo on it. GO SAINTS.

    poodles - GO BEARS!!!!!!!

Raineysmom and 4my - Congrats on the Raven win.

SouthGAgirl - Condolences on the GB loss. The SO and our other Packer fan at the table almost forgot we were in public near the end of the game and had to mouth their words.

thunderingherd - Congrats on the Skins win.

LovelyMarlena - Good luck to the Jets on Monday night.

I know I'm missing fans and I apologize. Hope your teams did well today and that everyone has had a wonderful weekend.

Poodles - I had no idea you were running the Chi marathon today. Sorry, that must have slipped through the cracks in my magic 8 ball brain. I hope you did well. The SO wasn't pleased but this year he got two cakes. He took the football to his hunting club on Friday. The one for today came from the bakery - I'm only one woman. LOL We just got home an are settling in for the night - just in time to see the D touchdown. We thought about staying through the Bears game, but the better angels on our shoulders advised us to start preparing for Monday.

Lily- It looks like PACKER/COLT game was close. I’m sure it was a name calling, nail biting extravaganza. I’m glad the SO had TWO birthday cakes this week. I think having two cakes would ease my pain. LOL

Lily- I was only running the last half of the marathon, runnergirl ran the first half with a friend we met a couple of years ago when a bunch of us were attempting to qualify for Boston. This woman is from Miami and didn’t qualify in 2010 so she tried again with Team Running with Poodles in 2011. Of course not knowing that I was pregnant, I wasn’t in any shape to assist getting anyone to qualify for Boston last year as I barely made it across the finish line myself. Here it is 2012, and even though I stayed in pretty good shape though out my pregnancy, I wasn’t able to run the entire marathon mostly due to Tula Rose’s frequent feeding schedule. We (runner girl, runner guy, my husband and me) were all registered to run the marathon, though none of us were in tip-top form for the race- runner guy has a pulled calf muscle and couldn’t run at all. Runnergirl ran the first half and I and my hubby ran the second half, but on mile 24, I saw runner girl’s daughter who with runner guy had the twins and Tula Rose. Tula Rose was crying as if she was starving. I had to stop, the pull both psychologically and biological was much greater than my need to finish this race. My husband continued with the woman from Miami and missed qualifying by 48 seconds. I felt so sorry for her, she gave it her best, I don’t think my finishing those two miles would have made any difference and I don’t have any regrets in stopping,----I just hope she feels the same way. Oh well, there’s always next year.

    GO BEARS.

Lily- LOL. I think we have a new name for Cutler. You couldn't be more spot on.

    ***OT***

Well, let's see how smart you guys think I am now...I worked hard on an essay for my english class...my professor did not like it. She said I had no clear thesis (thought my "cyber bullying should not be protected under the First Amendment" was pretty clear) and she said I didn't explain what I thought fighting words meant. I guess me saying calling someone ugly, fat, a wh0re, worthless and that the world would be better off without them wasn't good enough. She gave me a 70/100. I'm really, really bummed. I don't get C's.
