From: Thanks, I must have missed those posts. Probably a good thing, as Bayou Justice can be "cruel".

Well said, from. We're here to discuss GH and not quibble about spelling or grammar.

I agree with you. I have no interest in turning GH into “Sopranos Lite” with more mob violence and the like, but Sonny IS in the mob, and I doubt if that's going to change anytime soon. What I object to is the idea that even though the star of the show is a gangster, we are shielded from hearing about any of the real aspects of his business in an attempt to sanitize him so as not to offend the sensibilities of the (female) viewing audience. Without any details to work with, we are left with nothing but mob wars as the basis for most of Sonny's storylines. What I was saying is that if they are going to write stories about “the business” anyway, why not write something involving some other aspect of it, like crooked politicians or union bosses as opposed to these endless and repetitive attempts by other gangsters to “take over” Sonny's territory, which inevitably DO lead to shootings, car bombs, kidnappings, and other violence. At the very least, it would give Sonny and Jason a different class of criminal to deal with, and different kinds of problems to solve.

Personally, I've been posting for years that I'd prefer it if Sonny just quit the mob altogether and opened up a sting of five star restaurants and a chain of coffee shops, but if he's going to stay in the mob, at least they could make it a little more realistic. Organized crime families don't have mob wars very often. That's the point of being organized. Violence is bad for everybody's business.

FOOT @ Bayou - HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. You? cruel? Never. Triple Crown!

I again agree with Scrimmage on his views of Mob portrayal on GH.......If he is still in the mob, then what probably would have happened in REAL life - after the wedding fiasco - is Johnny would just mysteriously disappear....and probably Connie too for that matter...

Midas - I completely agree. Mine is usually atrocious, so I'm the last person to judge anyone on their grammar or spelling. Just try to come close and we will figure it out.
