    **speculation**

I really hope Jason doesn't have to prove his love to Liz by having near death sex.

Wow, what a great show today. When the elevator doors opened and Edward came out in the wheelchair, it was such a powerful moment, know he was not really acting sick, as he is (or was) really ill, but it really brought home the reality of the situation the town is in to have him there. And then for him to give the antiserum dose to Emma, Robin's child, was such a callback, as Edward was always so fond of Robin. The scene between him and Tracy was moving, as was the one between Tracy and Monica.

Loved Patrick with Emma also, she is a really talented, cute kid.

Of couse McBat will be the hero (probably) defusing the bomb and saving the town--TPTB are making him into the top guy in town, much to my irritation. Did like his line about his son, and choosing red due to Natalie's hair. Feelings don't change that fast, so glad he was thinking of them at that moment and not Sam.

One nit I have to pick is how slow Jerry was to get out of town. Instead of talking to Alexis, taking forever to tie her up, in the real world a person like Jerry would have just cast off holding the gun on her, and gotten away before Jax, Sonny, and Shawn could get there. But of couse, then we wouldn't have had the brother showdown, Shawn saving his (hopefully) girl, and Sonny shooting Jerry on the hand that held the remote control for the bomb. Good drama all around.

Also found it odd for Scuzzy Jr. to be there, to me he's just not prominent enough of a character to be onscreen during such dire times.

Wonder if Sonny ends up saving Jax tomorrow, as the fire was heading right for where Jax was slumped against the fuel barrel.

SCENE THE WAY I WOULD'VE WRITTEN IT
The marina. Lulu finds Todd trying to kill Johnny.

Announcers voice: “Today, playing the part of Lulu, and back by popular demand... Timmy from South Park (in a blonde wig).”

Todd: “Oh, hi Lulu. I was, um... just wiping Johnny's mouth.”

    Lulu: “Dante?”

Todd: “Dante? Oh, he's up in the warehouse.”

Carly (pulling up in the car): “Lulu help me get Johnny into the car and go with us to the hospital.”

Lulu (pointing at the warehouse): “Dante, Dante, DANTE!”

Carly: “Oh all right! I don't have time to argue with you!” (driving off with Todd.)

Lulu (running down the docks, yelling): “Daaaaante? Daaaaanteeeee?”

    Dante: “Lulu?”

Lulu: “DANTE??!!” (rushing into his arms and kissing him.)

Dante: “What are you doing here? You shouldn't be anywhere near this place.”

Lulu (shaking her head, looking at him disapprovingly). “Dante.”

Dante: “You're right. I can't think of anyone I'd rather be with if this is the end, either.”

Lulu (giggling, kissing him, reaching for his belt buckle): “Dante, Dante, DANTE???”

Dante: “Not now baby. I've got a bomb to diffuse.”

    Lulu: “DANTE!”

Dante: “Okay, okay. WE'VE got a bomb to diffuse. Man! You sure have a way with words.”

    Hi everyone,

Before I get in the heart of the show today I wanted to say that I found it odd to hear the word Polonium twice within 24 hours. Last night I watched Perception and the isotope (discovered by Madam Curie) was the weapon used to silence two characters. Imagine my surprise to find out that the Balkan had a bullet which contained the isotope with Jerry's name on it. Odd, isn't it?

I was so hoping that the title of today's recap was going to be "The Last Full Measure of Sacrifice" which would have honored the story and this day, but since that wasn't the case I'll move on to heart of the story we saw today.

Okay, here's hoping that Scummy hands over the dose of the anti-serum he's carrying around in his pocket. I'm thinking that ELQ still has the pharmacutical division, so why hasn't Monica or Tracy put their own Plan B into motion? Yes, I know about mandated protocals, but there's also a time to say screw the protocals. Here's hoping Jason gets to weigh in on this.

Also here's hoping that Jason gets to spend some time with his grandfather. If this was the last we'll see of Edward portrayed so brilliantly by John Ingle for so many years, then the show will have to go a long way to replace this brilliant actor. I started crying the moment I saw Edward in the wheelchair, I guess it brought back memories of the last month's of my father's life. Of course the tears escalated from the weak "I love you" to seeing Emma holding the kuala bear her missing grandfather gave her to the last words of Tracy's narrative set against the heroics and expressions of love in the final scenes of the show today.

I guess my only criticism of the writing would be that now is fine time for McBat to figure out he loves the mother of his son.

maja....How can you think of Shawn taking his shirt off when we need to save Delores....Delores ??????

Scrimmage-you said it much better than I, felt similar during Edward's scenes today. What expressive eyes, the greatest actors do the most with very little. I was thinking during the show (while on commercial) that that's one thing soaps often do well, utilizing older actors, keeping people on shows or bringing them on like Edward for brief appearances, or in this case, as we suspect, to say goodbye.
