    Crisis Of Confidence.

    Thursday, August 02 2012
Sonny and Alexis give Jason and Sam marital advice, Lulu and Dante reconnect, and Kristina and Trey get closer.

Dante wants to know if Lulu doesn’t think they can make it to forever. She thinks she must have had a crisis of confidence because they were fighting all the time. He admits he is not blameless. They can disagree but it does not mean they don’t love each other. She is worried she is better off alone. That’s not what she wants, but she is terrible at the good wife thing. She likes taking risks, feeling adrenaline. It feels so safe with Dante. Does she think their marriage is boring? She grabs his hands – she loves being married to him. He takes her hands and promises to support all her dreams like she does for him. If she is willing to work he thinks they will have an amazing life together. She loves him, but the forever word scares her. He wishes he could give her a guarantee but there isn’t one. She has to take that leap of faith and know he will catch her. He wants to spend every day he can with her and if it turns into forever, then even better. They head for the bed.

At the hospital, Ewen is approached by Liz while he is on the phone with his mystery boss. She overhears him say no one knows they are working together. He tells her he is caring for a celebrity - he is very discreet. She asks about Patrick. She is worried because his grief is a way of keeping Robin with him. Ewen is feeling guilty about Patrick. Sometimes you do things because you have to. She understands why he feels helpless because what has happened to Patrick and Emma is tragic. Ewen wishes he could fix it. Patrick has been a good friend to him and he is the reason Liz has agreed to go out with him again. He asks her to lunch and she agrees. Sometimes you don’t see what is in front of you.

Outside Kelly’s Sam thinks about her encounter with Jason at the newspaper. Alexis comes busting out and runs into her. Alexis wonders if Sam knew that Shawn had a girlfriend. She assumed he had a few. They sit down and Sam tells her "Mob Princess" is shut down, but not to count on Trey going anywhere. Kristina likes him and they think he shut down the show to be with her. Sam tells Alexis they talked about her and Jason. Alexis asks how things stand between them and Sam tells her they don’t. Whatever happened caused a distance between them they can’t get past. She tells Alexis Jason saw her kissing McBain, then he kissed Elizabeth. Alexis asks her flat out if she wants to divorce Jason. Sometimes the most loving thing you can do is let someone go. Alexis offers to represent her for free.

At The Floating Rib Jason thinks about his encounter with Sam. Sonny arrives and tells him about his visit with Joe – he threatened his kids by name. He wants tighter security without the kids knowing. Sonny tells him that Kristina is worried about him and Sam. Jason thinks there are some things you can’t get past. He has tried to talk to Sam but something always happens. Just then, Liz and Ewen walk in. Ewen shakes Sonny’s hand and they grab a table. Liz apologizes for the awkwardness. Sonny asks Jason if there is something going on with him and Elizabeth, and he spills about kissing her and Sam kissing McBain. Sonny reminds Jason that no matter what, Sam is still his wife. If he can’t make it work, call it quits now for everyone’s sake. Jason can’t divorce her. He just wants the pain to stop. Jason wants to know more about Joe Jr. Sonny is sure he already has a plan in place to move against his kids.

While they are making out at his apartment, Trey assures Kristina he meant every word and wants to go to the bedroom. They kiss again, but she pushes him off. She hasn’t been with anyone since her high school boyfriend – he used to beat her. She thought she loved him but he put her in the hospital once. She has not trusted anyone since. Trey assures her he would never hit her. She believes him but is not ready to sleep with him. She just needs time to feel safe with him. He wants to take it as slow as she wants. She wonders what his father will think about the show. Trey assures her his dad will be thrilled if he has a chance with her. Later, Trey tells Joe that Kristina doesn’t deserve to be used like this. Joe makes him promise he will marry Kristina.

Hi everyone - hope you're all having a good day,

Okay, I'm starting off with the line of the day award and it goes to Alexis for what she said to Sam regarding the kissing(s): "That's just juvenile". In fact, I'd say that the line pretty much summarizes today's episode.

I don't know what happened, but there was a storm alert here and when our local station went back to the show, both Sonny and Alexis switched their stance on the work it out theory for Jason and Sam to the just give up and get a divorce to end the pain. I guess Sonny was watching Jason stare at Liz, which could have colored his opinion, but I have no idea why Alexis changed hers. By the way, why was Jason hanging around the Floating Rib playing pool? Does he miss Carly too?

I'll give the Corinthos men props for knowing when to apologize and the consequences of being right versus being alone. So sweet of Dante to apologize for the most contrived marital problem in the history of the show, his mother raised him right. After all talking is good, but makeup sex is better.

Note to Sonny: Have you ever heard of closing the barn door after the horse has run out, or my personal favorite, locking up the henhouse after the fox is already inside? Increasing security around the kids (does Dante get a body guard also?) is a good idea, but running a background check on your only daughter's new "love" would be an even better idea. Of course that would prove that Big Scummy lied about the baby, and there would be no reason to see him again.

Speaking of Tres Scummy, he looked very relieved that Hissy wants to take this slow. Too bad Hissy didn't answer his question about the death of Keiffer with the truth: "No my dad didn't kill him, my mother ran over him with her minivan". That's enough information to make him think twice about his father's plan for his impending nuptials. I guess Scummy's research on the family didn't include the Cassadine side of the family.

I agree with Scrimmages post from yesterday regarding married couples and soaps Scrimmage said "makes me wonder if head writer Ron C. has something against traditional marriages or marriage in general"

Yes I know this is a soap, but there actually are married couples in real life who have made the commitment to work out their problems and stay married. As Scrimmage said LuLu and Dante are the only married couple on GH. Do they think the viewers feel married couples are boring and only want them to cheat, lie, and keep secrets from each other then break up without giving their marriage a chance. That does not represent real life, we do exist, and I for one am getting tired of marriage always being put down. And I mean no disrespect to those couples who are not married but have made a commitment to each other, that is great, it just seems like married couples get attacked more and more.

Lily: Line of the day for me was that big black one coming from Hissy's eye when she clouded up. They cut away so fast, and when next seen, she appeared to have had a make-up job. Can Dante be any more of a wus? Why should he always apologize? The twit he married must have something fierce on him. He needs to clean out the sock drawer.

I think the heat is getting to me(day 33 over 100) but one more comment on posts from yesterday, what Cynic posted yesterday about how girls were treated in the "old" days concerning rape or pregnancy.

You are so right, everything was put on the girl it was her fault (as if any girl or woman would ask to be raped) I know from a 17 year old family member having that horrible experience over 40 years ago, even though the guy was caught at the scene, she still had to prove she was not at fault in the trial. I am so thank ful that things have changed from that time. But I can understand up to now what Kate/Connie went through. A girl in that situation back then (and it took a long time to change) had little options, and was looked down upon.

Oh, so now that her baby is dead, Jason has "tried" to talk to Sam, but things just get in the way? GMAB!

bayou - Dante will always apologize because he was raised by a good Catholic mother who taught him, perhaps subconciously that woman are always right, or he's smart enough know that those apologize live to fight another day, you know the day after makeup sex.

4ever - I also agree with Scrimmage. FV and RC must be the products of a broken home which made them both believe that having two Christmas Days just meant more presents.

On Dante: no respectable Italian man would take her crap and apologize for the night club decision she made on her own. what a woossss.
Poor Trey; the kid has a good heart and is being led down a dangerous path by his own father.

    to Lily: agree

4ever - I hope you're feeling better despite the heat. We've had 3 days of afternoon rain which has lowered the temps just below miserable.

NuKristina almost popped a blood vessel trying to squeeze that single tear out. The actress doesn't know how to emote. It's painful to watch. I will be fast forwarding her scenes from now on. Alexis needs to have some Shawn time. Shawn needs to spend more time shirtless. A 17 year old boy is going nuts somewhere looking for his haircut. SB why? I know it's been said already, but now that I have actually watched an episode on TV instead of a computer screen, it looks so much worse. Anyway, I am excited about Kelly Monaco returning with DWTS. That is all.
