Alexis relents with Molly, Todd makes a big discovery, and Steve can’t find a lawyer for Heather.
At the hospital, Patrick takes a pill instead of booking his appointment with Keenan. Epiphany tells him drugs are missing from the lockup. She thinks it is Ramone the orderly. She thought he would want to know about such a serious crime. Patrick convinces Epiphany that Ramone is a good kid and they agree they won’t go to HR. She assures them she will find out about anything going on. Later, Ramone thanks Patrick for having his back, and he has his back too. He knows Patrick did it but his secret is safe with him.
In his office, Todd excuses Sam so he can talk to Heather. The cops think she buried Anthony in the woods and she needs an alibi. She needs someone who looks like Anthony and has already found him. Todd has to find his number in her purse, call him and tell him to pull the trigger. He grabs the purse and dumps it. He finds the paper with the paternity test results and realizes Jason is the baby’s dad.
Outside Todd’s office, Spinelli calls Sam and tells her about Heather and the police. She sees Heather’s purse and is going to look through it. In the elevator up to Crimson, Maxie calls Lulu and tells her they don’t have to worry about Patrick taking more drugs. Sam wants to look in Heather’s purse but Maxie keeps distracting her until Todd snatches it and takes it back into his office. They wonder what is going on between Heather and Todd when he leaves. They look through the purse contents and think Todd took anything incriminating with him. Maxie asks about Spinelli. Sam tells her she made her choice to marry Matt, and Spinelli has to move on without her no matter how much it hurts. Sam can relate. Things with Jason have gone from bad to worse. She kissed someone else and Jason saw. Then he kissed someone else and was not wearing his ring. Maxie doesn’t think a love like that just goes away.
Steve calls Alexis for help but she will not take Heather as a client. He has no luck finding anyone else who will take her either. Olivia arrives and he tells her about what the police think, but he does not believe it. Olivia wants him to accept who Heather really is. He wonders if she is happy since she got what she wanted. She just wanted to protect him since he took legal responsibility for Heather’s actions. For that, she is glad she does not have to worry about it anymore. She hugs him and tells him they will find a lawyer together.
At home, Molly calls TJ to tell him he is thinking about him. Everything was going fine until her insane mother showed up. Alexis walks in. She thought she made it clear not to talk to TJ. She assures Alexis that nothing happened, but she can’t believe her because she has been lying. Molly grumbles maybe she should get a love life. Alexis grabs her and tells her they will settle it right now.
At Kelly’s Shawn asks TJ how his Fourth was when Alexis drags Molly in. She tells Shawn what happened at her house. TJ and Molly tell them what really happened. Shawn thinks TJ has made an honest effort to shape up. He really has no problem with them seeing each other if they are not drinking or having sex. Alexis is willing to let them date with stringent ground rules. They are very happy and agree to all the rules.
At the station Dante and Lulu reunite and he wonders where she has been. She was comforting Johnny, and Dante thinks that sounds pretty personal to him. She did not think he was the jealous type. He thinks her involvement with Luke and Johnny looks bad. Lulu wonders if she should quit the PCPD. Todd comes in and wants to see Heather Webber. Dante refuses at first, but after Todd threatens to use them in his paper he relents. Lulu is mad at Dante and walks off.
In the holding room Heather asks the cop to get her some lipstick. Todd arrives with the paternity results and she is horrified he went through her things. He is appalled that she duped everyone into thinking Franco was the father. She thinks it was delicious. Sam tried to keep her from her son so she got what she deserved. Everyone is better off. Todd knows now to never trust a stranger you meet in the middle of the night pushing around a dead body. For weeks he has felt this odd new strange sensation and now realizes it is even worse than he imagined. Heather reminds him there is nothing he can do about it.
