    Can You Say Scoop?

    Tuesday, July 10 2012
Anna suspects Johnny, Heather has a scoop, and Steve confronts Jason.

At work, Heather presents Todd with a scoop – a picture of John and Sam kissing. The tryst will make for good copy. He would love to stick it to McBain. The woman he is cheating on is his niece. Not his favorite, but family nonetheless. They will stick it to him another way. Sam is off limits and he wants Heather to dig up dirt on someone else. He knows a guy - Johnny. Todd does not trust his talk of redemption. The ones who scream the loudest have the biggest skeletons. They need to find his. If Johnny has a secret, Heather will find it. She thinks they are a great team.

At the studio Johnny asks Starr if she needs to talk. She admits Michael is on her mind. They tried to be friends but last night they kissed. She is worried it is too soon. She can’t handle loving someone and having them ripped away from her. Johnny insists they deserve to be happy. Todd doesn’t want her hanging out with Michael. Johnny doesn’t think Todd wants anyone talking to Starr. Todd came to see him and offered to buy the contract. She can’t believe it. Johnny wants her to be happy, and if Michael can give that to her, he is happy for her.

At the station, Anna and Delores talk about the body. Heather was fixated with Luke and would move the body to protect him. Anna thinks Johnny’s motives have been long overlooked. He was the first to report the disappearance, supplied Delores with info and had Anthony’s phone with the text from Tracy. Time to rattle his cage. Anna calls Johnny and asks him to come to the station. He arrives and she tells him they found the body buried in the woods. Johnny hopes Luke was arrested since he shot Anthony. Anna never said he was shot. They do need answers from another suspect – Heather. Johnny leaves and Delores tells him she overheard Anna say she had evidence against another man.

Heather installs a camera in Johnny’s office.

Starr visits Todd at his office, mad about him butting into her life. Her album has nothing to do with him. She just wants him to be happy for her. He insists on details about the debut so he can promote it in the paper. He also promises not to touch Johnny.

At the dock, Jason pulls off his wedding ring. After his jog, Michael sits nearby and remembers the kiss. He sees Jason and tells him he took Starr to the barbecue. It was a big night for fireworks. Jason agrees – for a lot of people. Michael assures Jason he is taking it slow but Jason thinks he could save himself a lot of pain if he does not get involved. He walked in on Sam and McBain kissing, right here. He can’t get it out of his head. A part of him had still held out hope they could be together but not anymore. Michael insists they get out of there. Starr calls Michael and Jason tells him to go meet her, but to be careful.

Sam pulls off her ring at home when Kristina comes in. Sam is not sure she should be wearing it. Kristina thinks Jason could be helping Sam with her grief, but things have changed. She kissed John McBain. They were upset and drinking. But he did not do anything she did not want him to do. The Jason she loved, she has not seen in a long time. Kristina begs her to put her ring on and she does. She won’t rule out a reconciliation today.

At Kelly’s Liz calls Jason to tell him she is there for her and to not worry about the kiss. Steve overhears and is not happy. She insists it was not a real kiss. Jason is going through a difficult situation and she wanted to be there for him. He does not want her to get hurt but she insists she is fine. He and Olivia had a blowout about his mother. The night of the storm, she borrowed Olivia’s car. Steve insists she was just trying to meet up with a guy online. He needs to help her find a better guy than that. Steve leaves as Jason walks in. Steve does not want him kissing his sister. Sam overhears.

Starr and Michael meet at the dock and kiss. She tells him Todd tried to buy Johnny out. He has no boundaries or morals and does not listen to anyone. He said he would stay away from Johnny but she does not believe him.

Heather comes back to the office and shows Todd the camera set up in Johnny’s office. Todd thinks Heather has outdone herself. Anna arrives with some cops and wants Heather to come to the station and answer some questions. Her purse is left behind with a paper sticking out of it.

Elizabeth is such a tool. She couldn't wait to wake up and call Jason. Heck, shouldn't she be checking on her sons. The ones she managed to keep an eye on, for now. She told Jason he didn't have to call her right back. Heck, if he doesn't you will just stalk him.

Now onto Sam. I know she is not trying to be all upset about Jason and Elizabeth lip locking. She was just doing the same with John. And she did tell Elizabeth she was welcome to have Jason if she wanted. You can't tell Elizabeth that and don't expect her to act on it.

I like how Todd is protective over Sam. Even though he is the source of all her troubles. And I also loves how he still can't stand Gnata-lie.

    Hi everyone,

    OT
What a great day. It finally rained here without a huge storm blowing through and the temperature dropped below 80.

bayou - I really enjoyed Perception. It seems that the cable networks have much better writers than the traditional networks, with the exception of Revenge. White Collar is back tonight and I'm excited. Did you hear that the new Dallas has already been renewed?

poodles - I read your post about having a beer on the 4th. I have a friend who used the pump, refrigerate, then pump and dump method when she knew she would be a having a drink.

    On to the show:

I have to admit I'm a little disappointed that Johnny's days are numbered now that Anna is using Delores to "rattle his cage" and Todd has unleashed Heather on him. I find it a little unbelievable that she has such mad surveillance skills, in light of the fact that she doesn't have Luke or the gardener's shack on camera 24/7.

I have to give both Todd and Johnny points for their guilt motivated protectiveness towards Sam and Starr. Here's a question that popped into my magic 8 ball brain during the show - why can't Johnny use the PTSD defense just like Todd did? After all AZ shot his mother who took a bullet for him when he was just a child. As far as his role in the accident, if anyone should take the blame for this, it's the writers.

It was nice to see Hissy as a human being for once, listening to Sam and trying to encourage her not to give up hope. Is there a chance she might grow out of the brat phase as Michael did? Michael also did a great job convincing Jason (who left out the part about kissing Liz) to keep his ring on his finger and out of his pants. Too bad StevenLars has such a big mouth, still considers himself so much better than his cousin, and doesn't realize that he's too stupid to be speaking in public. Of course we all knew that Sam was going to come through that door.

I'm glad to see that Anna hasn't lost all her investigative instincts and is looking into Heather's gardening habits. I wonder if Luke considered the fact that Anna has the power to put an APB out on him whenever he disappears before he decided to go for it. LOL

FOD - Apologies, I should have included Delores in women's squad yesterday. Cat suits for everyone.

Todd, I am begging you this one time to rain on Mcbain's parade. He damn well deserves it.

To quote Sam "The Jason I loved, I have not seen in a long time." Jason can clearly say the same about you the way you been acting. Running your mouth and what not. But the main reason you haven't seen him is due to R.C. and his stupid writing staff.

We all know that two wrongs don't make a right, but I see Jason doing what a person who is trying to save a relationshipmarriage is trying to do. Work things out. Has he made his mistakes...yes and he throughly admits it. But he is trying to work on their problems together.
However,I don't see Sam who says that she loves him trying to do anything to help the situation willngly liplocking with Mcbain.

With tomorrow's episode she has no right to be giving Jason hell about what he did. She is just as much to blame as he is, but you leaned on a complete stranger than the person who saw you through your darkest moments.

Damn you RC!!!! Damn you to hell!!! Thanks for destroying the one couple on soaps that actually acted like a real couple.

So Delores is on the show today.....And our TV is out of service.....Well that just about says it all....fortunately we have a LARGE library, which will be put to good use for the next several days.....@114 degrees who wants to go outside anyway.

I love how Jason puts just enough "spin" on things, in order to come off "smelling" (like a rose)

    Missed Sam and John today.
They are turning into my favorite s/l.
The yearning to be together when they know it's wrong.
This is what soaps are all about!
Sam is defiantly considering her options. Think she's more concerned about John's feelings for Nat then her feelings for Jason.

Steve needed to keep his trap shut. How embarrassing for Liz!

Michael is so cute. Really liking this character. Enjoy him with Jason.

When Heather was telling Todd something he says"I;m not really interested in that" Hhahah.......Heather is awesome.

    Johnny is cracking up.
