soapfan1984, Sam took a job as filing clerk in the PD at one point, and she was hopeless. She can barely spell, let alone do math. There is no way she could cope with the directives Todd is giving her. She preferred action, such as being in Everyday Heros. I don't expect Mob Princess to last any longer than Sam's TV show.

We now know that Trey knows that Joe Jr. is his father, so there is another possible teaser gone down the chute. I am concerned with the way TPTB are blowing possible plot twists by heavy handed clues. Every time we heard Sonny or Kate refer to drawer baby, the scene immediately cut to Trey. Come on guys, this is basic painting by numbers! We like to speculate and guess, then be totally taken off guard by the big reveal coming out of left field. I don't want it to be a foregone conclusion that Trey is the abandoned baby. I am hoping that Joe Jr. found the wrong one.

Molly's father is an attorney, and a pretty shady one. Molly should give him a call and have him get Trey off her back.

As to how Joe, Jr. found out about the baby he, or his father, probably had her tracked down. He might actually have had feelings for her, or remorse for what he had done, and took the baby to raise as a penance. If McBain could find Joe, Jr. within two hours or less of arriving in New Orleans, I am sure that Joe could have found Connie in nine months. Heck, it takes more than two hours to get out of the airport! I am kind of hoping that Connie did flirt with him and things went too far, but she has repressed that part and convinced herself she was raped. I take the full recovery claim with a tablespoon of salt.

i haven't seen zachto or zachto's sis lately. hope you are well wherever you are.

i want to point out that some with spelling math problems etc (on the board, or on the show) have brain problems and it shouldn't be made fun of or put down even in the most subtle way. we all can't have huge IQ's all the time.

excuse me if am too sensitive on the issue. no harm.

    thats all for me folks.

@PumpkinGirl, I so understand what you mean. As someone who has taught GED courses in a Junior College, I understand what you are saying. If you haven't study for or tried to take the GED test, let me tell you that it is no small feat for those who try. It entails a lot; the person has to be able to comprehend passages in Social Studies, Science and Literature and answer 45-60 questions in each; the person must be able to write a cohesive essay on whatever random subject that is presented at that time; and the person must be able to calculate math that involves fractions, percentages, algebra and geometry. There have been few that have passed it on the first try(very astute people) , but many have had to repeat the entire test or maybe two or three parts. It is a lot easier to take the high school route where you have nine months to learn a subject, be tested on it and then hopefully pass on to the next grade. Those taking the GED test may study all five subjects for about 3-6 months. Then hopefully sit through a 7 1/2 our test. So, unless you have made this walk, don't put it down or make light of it.

Also, some years ago when she first started living with Jason, Sam completed some paperwork for Jason that involved his warehouse business. He was surprised when she completed it. She said that she was able to because she had worked on many shipping contracts. And the two were similar. I don't know why the writers then try to dumb down the female characters, and then the viewers assume that the character has always been that way, especially if they don't know the whole story of the character.

Sam has been portrayed as not "book smart".
She got fired by Alexis when she tried to be a file clerk in her law office.
She dropped out of classes to prepare her for her GED.
I don't remember that she finally got it.
She has no idea about the books or characters that Molly talks about when mentioning the classics or must read books from high school.
Molly and Kristina have been raised toward higher learning, Sam did not have that luxury .
For her to have this job at the paper is a total guilt hire. She would have no idea what she was looking at with the information Todd handed her to look over.

I think Sam is suppose to be " street smart" even though her latest PI skills have been questionable.
And her choice of footwear during her "work" is ridicules .

OT: GOD Bless America, land that I love.................

exactly, higher learning is a luxury. good point.

i had higher learning, but sometimes illness gets in the way, and the brain gets worse for wear. that actually was my original point.

some days i can't spell for the life of me, or remember a simple answer to a simple problem, or even grammar. one side of your brain goes this is wrong, and the other side goes, i know. but thats it.

and then the next day....i am fine. i can tell you one thing, my daughter doesn't care too much.

and if i ever became a writer i would depend on a good editor as if my life would depend on it.

    ha ha!
