    Due to the Independence Day holiday, "General Hospital" will be pre-empted today.

    New episodes of "General Hospital" will resume tomorrow, July 5. In the meantime, sparks have been flying all over the place in Port Charles. But which potential couple is your favorite? Vote in our poll and comment below.

    gulla- I too am beginning to like Michael and Starr. I think they both have a lot in common. I don't and never will like Trey----he needs to go and take Kristina with him.

    Lily- I'm working on the potatoe salad now. Thanks for the recipe. I did most of it last night, hope it will be as good as yours. I know I should have started a couple of days ago...next time I will. Have a great day.

    Happy 4th of July to all my American friends. Enjoy your day with family and friends.

    I do like the scenes with Carly and Todd and think at some point Johnny's sercert will come out it will be the end of Carly and Johnny. This might take a year but by then Todd will be cleared up for his part in the baby switch and Carly and Todd would have gotton closer.

    Happy 4th everyone! No plans for today just reading and maybe going to dinner with sis...I voted for Mike &Starr, I like these two together, they seem to get each other and are both likeable...On the opposite end is the unlikeable Trey & Kristina, both characters are so unlikeable and self -absorbed that they are painful to watch...I wish that TPTB would do us favor and get rid of Trey & Kristina, they don't have chemistry with each other or with other casts members, the only thing they both have in common is that they are pretty to look at, but have no real substance.

    I am starting to like Todd and really think that Spin is his son. There is no WAY that Jason could be traveling with a licensed gun in his luggage. How could he get a gun license in NY state?

    poodles - The great thing about potato salad is that it picks up flavors at different times. I'm sure your dish will be wonderful - just remember to season according to your family's taste.
    The SO and I took out the cowboy steaks, zuchs, and corn to grill and watched the history channel July 4th programming in the gazebo for about two hours until he gave up first. The food was delicious. I'm going to look for an authentic baked bean recipe tomorrow to try out while I'm still on vacation.

    Lily- sounds like you had a nice 4th. If your weather was anywhere as warm as ours, I give you and the SO lots of points for endurance. The last time we looked it was 102. We had runnergirl and her family, our neighbors/surrogate parents/grandparents, a good friend that I use to work with and his partner for a late afternoon, early evening dinner. Needless to say nobody ate outside, but everyone enjoyed the potato salad. I had my first beer in nine months and expect the La Leche police to arrive at our door any moment-LOL It was a nice day, considering the past week and the sadness we still feel from the loss of our good friend. My husband is almost off until Monday (will be on call Friday), so I’m looking forward to having him home with us for a few days. I would love to hear about the authentic baked beans recipe.

    poodles - I'm so glad the recipe worked for you. I've been doing some searching for a good baked beans recipe.

    bayou - So happy that you got to see the fireworks. The shows here are way downtown so we just watch the Macy's display on TV. Not the same as being there.

    Hope everyone had a good day, especially Scrimmage and his mom.
