    ***off topic***

Lily hunter – After several attempts to contact the ABC Daytime Writers Development Program for an application with no response (no one ever even read my emails as far as I can tell), I'm assuming the program is no longer functioning, and that the website information about it is outdated. I guess you're stuck with me.

Bayoubtr – For as long as I can remember, I've always been able to write. I often credit my Mom for reading comic books to me instead of traditional children's stories (which I found horrific). After she read them to me the first time, I would go back and “read” them over and over, which taught me proper grammar and how to pick out words long before I ever started school. I vividly remember the first hard word I ever read by myself was “kryptonite” because it didn't look like any other word, there was a green glowing rock in the picture, and Superman was always in big trouble whenever it came up. Those kind of things can leave a lasting impression on a young boy's mind.

In second grade they said I was reading and writing at an eighth grade level. By the time I graduated high school, I was in the top two percentile of the nation for reading and comprehension. As for my teachers, there were more than a few times when they accused me of plagiarizing an essay because they didn't believe someone my age could write like I did, but to their surprise, it was always all me. I didn't need to cheat. Of course, by then I had already discovered rock and roll and girls (not neccessarily in that order) and my interests became less academic.

Poodles – Did you see my first post-Tula Rose movie suggestion for you? I thought you might enjoy a wacky Coen Brothers comedy about baby stealing called “Raising Arizona” starring Nicholas Cage and Holly Hunter. Trust me, you'll be pulling for the baby snatchers.

    ****OFF TOPIC****

Lily- It’s been a rough week, very sad. Mr. Kitty is no fool. I feel sorry for the poor animals that have to be outside. I saw on the news where it was so hot they were frying an egg on the sidewalk. It sounds like we are in for a thunder storm tonight. I just read where Scrimmage suggested watching a movie call ‘Raising Arizona” We might watch that tonight or tomorrow night. What are your 4th of July plans?

Bayou- I hope you’re not home alone. That movie scares me to death.
