In Search Of The Cockeyed Cuckoo.

    Wednesday, June 27 2012
Heather catches Spinelli, Patrick warns Ewen about Jason, and Sam gets a new job.

Tracy goes to the police station to discuss Luke’s latest crime with Anna. First she wants to apologize. Weeks ago, she had something to say about Anthony’s murder. Anna asks how she is certain he's dead and Tracy is sure. She found his body in the boathouse the night her and Luke were arrested. She wanted to come forward but Luke insisted she not because Luke killed him. They brought the body up to the house, dressed him up and passed him off as drunk. Anna wonders if she is trying to pin the crime on Luke. Tracy is too good for a man who does not have the courage to tell her the truth in person. Anna informs Tracy she did not see him either. She doesn’t know where he is. Tracy doesn’t think he cares enough about Anna to bother. They both dodged his bullet – something Anthony couldn’t do.

Heather and Todd argue in his office while Sam and Spin listen outside. Heather shows Todd the article about Sam’s baby and asks if she has to spell it out for him. She threatens to take her story to another news outlet. Todd tells her to go kill another sugar daddy and excuses her. Spin and Sam scuttle off while Heather leaves. Sam knocks and Todd yells for her to go away. Sam walks in and wonders if he will have time for her. Would he consider her if she applied? She is hanging up her PI license. Her partner and husband are best friends and her marriage has fallen apart and it is awkward. She needs to start over. Hasn’t he ever had to start over? His whole life he has wanted that but has not been able to. If she works for him she will live to regret it. She begs for a chance and he agrees. He gives her a list of people to let through and not let through. She tells him he won’t regret it.

Ewen walks in on Patrick as he is swallowing the pills in a hospital room. He is there for his checkup. All of his tests came back normal. What he really wants to know is what the deal is with her and Jason. He was at Liz’s place sharing a close moment when he showed up. It is probably nothing but Patrick wouldn’t bet on it. Where Jason is concerned, that is a serious mistake. He is a paid killer and sucks in women who need fixing and healing. The very women he hurts are the first ones to line up and defend him. Ewen wants Patrick to come talk to him. Grief has a way of doubling back and taking us by surprise. Patrick refuses and tells him to take care of Jason.

Liz and Jason run into each other at the hospital. Patrick has cleared him for six months. He hopes she had a good night with Ewen and she thinks it was fine. Her brother doesn’t though. Steve thinks she is still stuck on Jason. She knows she can be his friend and date Ewen at the same time. She has finally let go of Lucky and accepted that no matter how much she loved him they can’t be together. She has learned from it and has to move on. Jason thinks that is what he has to do. Liz discourages him but he is adamant. He tells her how Sam thought the baby had been switched. If she was right that baby would still be out there and he would find him and put their family back together again. He gets a call – he has to go to New Orleans immediately. They hug while Ewen watches.

At Patrick’s, Maxie finds pills in his robe. She gets dressed and the bell rings. Lulu is shocked she moved in with Patrick. Maxie tells Lulu about her fight with Spin. Lulu is not sure it is a good idea Maxie stays there. Maxie is worried about Patrick. She shows Lulu the pills. Lulu is doubtful that Patrick is using. Maybe they are antidepressants. Maxie does not want to make the same mistake with Patrick she did with Lucky. Lulu gets a call and has to go to work. But if she thinks Patrick has a problem she has to confront him. Patrick comes in and she drops one of the pills. She wants to talk to him about something.

Heather goes to the shack to meet up with Luke. Spinelli is outside, looking for her and recording his notes. Heather comes up behind him and hears him talking about her. She listens to the recording and is livid. She knows he is in cahoots with Olivia. She smashes his recorder and tells him to stop it or he is finished.

    Hello all:

So earlier today prior to the show I started to think of Liz and reflect on the comments from yesterday. Since Ewen is busy taking care of both of his clients, Connie and Kate, and because he is so close to the situation, I thought I would play doctor for a day and put on my diagnostic hat.

Liz suffers from a case of chronic Hamsterlysis Assinetis, also known as the hamster syndrome- marked by the annoying habit of going around and around perpetually and arriving at the same place without any progress to show for her effort. Although easy to diagnosed, the problem lay in its treatment because clients like Liz, who are afflicted by hamster syndrome, also suffers from denial – the refusal to see their illness for what it truly is, visual and auditory hallucinations- seeing greener grass where none really exists and hearing romantic undertones that are never uttered, and delusion – the mistaken belief that this time around, a hop on the hamster wheel will produce a different result even though past experiences have shown otherwise.

In addition to Hamsterlysis Assinetis, Liz suffers from a case of untreated Congenital Convenientum Storeosis, more commonly known as the Convenient Stor syndrome. Individuals like Liz who suffer from this illness, are said to have the 7-11 gene that manifest itself in the remarkable skill, one honed by years of practice, of making themselves open and available 24-7 to desperate and emotionally vulnerable and unavailable men going through relationship crisis. Unfortunates like Liz with the 711 gene hold the erroneous belief that male customers, who conduct a drive by to pick up items to tie them over until they can get to the grocery store where they really wanted to go, are really stopping by to stay for the long haul.

After reading yesterday's posts my sympathies go out to both of you

I had to replay this again...Jason asked Liz..."hurt ?? because of me ??"

Well, based on the short time I have been watching GH - I'd say the catches are better than average. WAIT - I'm sorry I admit I did say I wasn't going to pick on Jason any longer....But, he keeps saying such stupid things I can't resist.

poodles - What a terrible shock for everyone to lose someone in an accident. How like you to want to help your friend's wife get through this even though your days have become so much more full. I wish her the best and knowing that you are her friend tells me she'll have someone to lean on whenever she needs a little support.

Now on to the show. Unless I see something to contradict me really soon I've officially named the next three months The GH Summer of Stupidity. I expected to see the mixed twenty something doubles taking over the airtime to pander to the short end of the 18-39 coveted demographics who are lying by pools everywhere watching, but what I didn't expect was the apparent fog that came with the big PC storm to contain some sort of chemical that could dumb down the entire town. Here's the evidence I'm presenting to make a case for the EPA to start investigating:

Liz - Before all the Liz fans jump on me, let me remind you of the famous quote about the worth of a bird in the hand (Ewen) as opposed to two in the bush (Jason and the chance Lucky will ever return). Of course the writers are tweaking all those who have long waited for a Liz/Jason walk into the sunset, but at present Jason is about as much of a prize as Lucky was when he was ignoring his wife trying to play hero. I was glad to hear that he's going to N.O. to find Joe Jr. for Sonny and hope it takes him most of the summer - enjoy a long vacation SB.

Spin and Sam - I'm glad to see that Sam has gotten herself inside Todd's office, so she and Spinelli don't have to lurk in the hallway, but please the tools they use in investigating are more primitive than the ones Robert used to use in the early 1980's. Seriously, can't Spinelli go online and find something to plant on Heather to track her?

Maxi, Patrick, and Ewen - Although I didn't see Patrick's blowup at faux Maxi yesterday, I'm guessing that he blew up at her because she was a hand in the pocket away from finding his pills. Meanwhile, while Patty is popping pills to make it through the day, refusing counseling from Ewen, and trashing Jason because women like him better; Maxi actually got some good advice from Lulu. In any case, I'm beginning to care less and less about all the members of the Drake family, except Emma. Grandmother Anna should drop by to visit the littlest Scorpio, as long as she's been stood up by Luke.LOL

Well it seems that GH will be moving to 1pm PT. Frankly, I think this is horrible news. From the good, at least GH is still on the air. On the not-so-good, we only have 4 soaps left on the air and now all of them are in direct competition against one another. Won't be a big deal for me as I understand the concept of the DVR machine, but for those who don't and watch more than one soap... I see trouble brewing for what's left.

oops - It appears that I neglected to add Siobahn's name as Lucky's wife, so I apologize for any confusion in my previous post. Wow is it possible that the writers can actually pass on subliminal stupid to the viewers?
