Anna takes the job, Todd and Téa leave the hospital and Heather holds the real results to the baby’s paternity.

Outside her hotel room, Anna is approached by Mac. He wants to know the department is going to be in good hands. She has until 4 PM to take the job.

At The Floating Rib, Felicia is trying to rally support for Mac’s reinstatement, but he tells her the job is already taken. She wonders what he is going to do now. He felt like they almost kissed last night and has fond memories of their time together. They have made mistakes, and hopefully learned from them.

Anna makes the announcement at PCPD. They are going to build a department they can be proud of and there will be no cutting corners. Inside the interrogation room, Tracy wants out. Luke reminds her the situation is not going to get better unless they find the real killer. Anna walks in and tells them she is the new commissioner but can’t let them go. Alexis arrives, and unless they find a body the PCPD has no case. If Anthony shows up dead, they are in big trouble. They are released and as they leave Anna tells Luke he can’t have any special treatment. She asks he not get arrested for the next 24 hours. He lovingly tells her he can do that and will see her at home.

At the hospital John asks Jason how Sam is. He knows she must be devastated and Jason agrees. John explains how happy she was when the baby was born. Jason fill John in on what Sam went through after the birth. Sam kept saying someone had taken her baby and left the other. John wishes he could have gotten her help, and Jason knows if the baby was in a hospital he would still be alive. They both feel guilty. Jason tells John he can handle Sam from here, but then some officers approach. The commissioner instructed them to bring Jason in.

Jason arrives at the station and tells Anna he wants his lawyer. She just wants him to listen. Robin told her about how he supported her after Stone died and that he was the one who gave her the courage to go on the HIV meds. Robin really loved him and Anna is grateful. But she can’t look the other way when a police officer is assaulted. She knows what he did to McBain and has message for him. If he commits crime, she will do everything in her power to prosecute him. He understands. She wants him to tell Sam that her thoughts are with her and leaves.

In Tea’s hospital room, Heather tells Todd they need to talk. She has done her research on him, and will not be dismissed. He wonders why she is threatening him and she tells him it is just a conversation. The nurse comes in to get the Téa’s pamphlets. Todd runs off to get Téa while Heather calls after him.

Sam sees Téa with her baby outside her hospital room. Her baby, a boy too, did not make it and Téa is devastated for her. Sam asks if she can hold the baby, but before she can, Alexis walks up and takes Sam back in her room. Dr. Lee is there with news about the cause of death. There were no signs of the condition that was present before, but now the baby had hemophilia, a condition usually passed down through the mother. Plus, he died of respiratory failure. Sam is convinced that her son is still alive. Dr. Lee did not mean to get her hopes up, but if he was in the hospital he might have had a chance. John knocks on the door and Sam asks Alexis to leave. She wants to know why he did not come back for them. He tells her he ran into some trouble. A nurse comes in with food for Sam and suggests John take care of himself too. He leaves and the nurse tells Sam had been beaten. Jason comes back and she wants to ask him a question. He needs to tell her something first. That night, he was coming to promise to love her son as his father.

Téa gets the pamphlets outside Sam’s room and thinks she won the genetic lottery. Her baby could have had hemophilia like her. As they wait for the elevator, Heather gets off and Tea recognizes her. She thanks her again but Heather is a private person and is concerned about Todd’s paper. Téa insists they will respect her privacy. Todd agrees it never happened and they leave. She pulls out some lab results, but drops them. John walks by and picks them up for her before leaving. She thinks it is almost too easy, getting away with it. She looks at her lab results. The baby’s father is Jason, not Franco.

Yea Jason is the Father after all. I always suspected Heather did something.

The LINE OF THE DAY goes of course to Heather. Take your pick.

Heather: “This is almost TOO easy.”

    Tell me about it.

Heather: “I'm getting away with it. I get away with EVERYTHING! It's AMAZING!”

Yes, if by “amazing” you mean astonishingly improbable, highly unlikely, and utterly unfathomable, then yeah, it's “amazing” all right.

And I'm sure the only explanation we'll get about exactly HOW Heather pulled off switching DNA results in such a way that even Dr. Kelly would be fooled will be reduced to Heather saying “I have my ways.” I'm sick of having the pivotal actions on this show, happen off screen especially when it appears obvious that it would take an extraordinary, if not superhuman effort to pull off.

Important plot points have too often gone without explanation, like the Balkan switching Sam for Brenda under everybody's nose before the limo blew up, almost all of Lisa's crimes which would've required super strength and speed, invisibility, and psychic powers, Robin's supposed escape from the lab explosion, Heather's moving of Maggie and Anthony's bodies, and now the idea of a recently released mental patient altering every copy of a DNA paternity test during a bathroom break. We can (and do) ask “How did she do it?” and all we get is “She just did, somehow.” I'm not asking for gritty realism, but this is absurd.

That being said, I am extremely happy to know that Frankenbaby is indeed Cheeto - Son of Stone Cold, and that Sam has NOT lost another child, even though TPTB insist on torturing her with the idea that she has. I'm glad she doesn't seem to be buying it. It's also a welcome sight to see that Jason told Sam that was willing to accept the baby even before he knows he is the biological father, or that their son is still alive. Better late than never. Surely Dr. Kelly could run a simple test to determine the paternity of the dead child, and one would think she would be aware that the other child delivered that night had the same rare condition they were expecting to find in Sam's child. Maybe Drs. Kelly and Steve should compare notes. I was also glad to see Jason and McBat talking instead of squaring off like a couple of stray dogs, and I thought Anna's “fair warning” to Jason about the new sheriff in town was well done. I think this bodes well for a new level of respect between both sides of the thin blue line in PC, and with Anthony's demise, maybe the mob stuff will continue to go on, but in the background, like ELQ. I really enjoyed every one of Anna's scenes today. She was flawless, but what is with Luke getting so “touchy-feely” all of a sudden? Especially with a COP?

Speaking of “touchy-feely” dammit Felicia, you're not a 17 year old schoolgirl, so quit trying to act like one. “I'm scared.” Oh boo-hoo! You and Mac should be tearing each other's clothes off right about now but instead, the only thing you're licking is an envelope! Are you kidding me? You two were married for Pete's sake! What's better than occasional sex with the ex? Neither one of you is getting any younger or better looking. What is there to be so scared of unless Mac didn't refill his Viagra prescription?

Alexis...your timing really STINKS!!! Just one more minute and Sam would have seen that the baby Tea has is hers!!! Why didn't Dr. Lee mention the Cassadine blood disorder in the autopsy results? It was discovered on Sam's last OB exam? Wouldn't that set off alarms in Dr. Lee?

So Tea knows that she is a hemophiliac and that is usually passed down from mother to child. She didn't think that that was odd? Maybe not..she's a brilliant lawyer but she's not a doctor.

OY VEY....this is making me nuts!!!

Hello all happy friday. Did we see today's show Tea saw heather knew who she was I knew they saw each other outside the cabin. Heather did switch the test results the baby is jasons. Why didn't same ask for a DNA test to prove the baby wasn't hers. Sam will be the first to know tea has her baby I think and then try to convince Jason or John she's right. Great tender scene between Luke and Anna. Not sure yet who I want to see Luke with yet Anna or Tracey. What was the point of heather threatening Todd he knows to be quiet I think heather is going to be killed and they are trying to get up a ton of suspects. Jason needs to tell Sam he's the reason mcbain wasn't there to get her to the hospital with the baby.
