Kate melts down, Delores realizes Eddie is a suspect and Sam gets the test results.
John finds Starr on the pier. They talk about Sonny's trial and John says they just have to let the system do its job, which means sometimes people like Sonny and Todd get away with their crimes. John urges Starr to not let this swallow her whole and move on with her life once the trial is over. Starr will once Sonny is found guilty. Starr wonders why John feels the need to stay in Port Charles. He needs to see this through for himself and look after her. Starr thinks there's more to it than that. She tells him it's nice having him there and walks away. John pulls out a newspaper article about his sister's death with Sonny's photo.
Sonny stops by Michael's place and confronts him about Starr. Michael defends his position, but Sonny warns him to keep his eyes open around her. Starr returns and tells Michael she ran into McBain on the pier. She agrees with him that there's something between McBain and Sonny. He in turn tells her Sonny was there and accused her of using him. Starr looks surprised as Michael asks if that's true.
After Kate blows off Ewen over the phone, she opens Sonny's door to Jason. She hears Connie's voice and tells him this isn't a good time. She runs into the main room as Jason follows trying to figure out who planted the gun. Kate has a complete meltdown and runs out, leaving Jason very confused. Jason calls Spinelli to check on his progress regarding Kate's medical files. Sonny walks in, wondering what Jason just said about Kate. Jason tells him how Kate went off on him and challenges Sonny to finally admit something is off with his girlfriend. Sonny defends Kate, but Jason is worried how her issues will affect him. Sonny knows Kate and what she needs. He won't talk about this again.
Steve and Olivia bring Heather to the hospital to see Dr. Keenan. Heather runs away in tears, wondering how her son could do this to her. After she composes herself, Heather returns to tell Steve she doesn’t need more counseling, but she could use a BLT at Kelly's. Despite Olivia's concerns, Steve takes his mother to lunch. Olivia barges into Ewen's office to vent about Heather. Kate also busts in ranting. Olivia needles her about going after other people's boyfriends and storms out. Kate tells Ewen she heard Connie's voice in her head. Ewen says that's not a positive development and tells her he filed the papers to have her committed against her will. Kate eventually agrees, but she wants to tell Sonny before she admits herself.
Sam calls Dr. Lee from Kelly's about her paternity results. Alexis sits down with her daughter wondering what's going on with her and brings up John McBain. Sam reveals she has confided in John, which surprises Alexis considering he is investigating Sonny and therefore Jason. Sam assures her she hasn't incriminated anyone. Alexis urges her to open up assuming it can't be that bad. Sam retorts, "I'm not so sure about that." Sam tells her about her sonogram and how proud Jason was. Alexis wonders what's upsetting her if things are so great. Sam tears up worried things will come crashing down on her. Heather and Steve enter. Alexis walks away with Steve as Heather sits down to threaten Sam, who vows she didn’t tell Steve anything. Sam gets a call from Kelly, as Steve and Alexis discuss Heather's return. Alexis has a restraining order for Heather filed by Edward. Steve wants to be the one to give it to her. Alexis returns to Sam, who is on her way out to get the test results. Jason arrives after Sam has left. Heather approaches him, happy to see family. She asks, "How is my first cousin, once removed?"
After getting the test results, Sam brings them to the pier and sees McBain.
At the station, Ronnie, Lulu and Dante discuss Delores' husband's possible connection to the stripper attacks. Delores walks up and realizes they think Eddie is a suspect. The three lay out their case to an outraged Delores. She throws her keys at Dante and tells him to search her place. After Ronnie and Dante leave, Lulu tries to talk to Delores, who walks away because Lulu started it all. When Dante and Ronnie return, they present photos they found in Delores' closet of the girls from Vaughn's.
