Carly and Johnny flirt in public, Heather destroys Sam, and Olivia turns to Sonny.
At the mental institution, Heather tells Sam the baby in the picture is Susan's, but it's not Jason. She reveals that Susan had twins, but was passed out and didn’t know she had two babies. Apparently the nurse wanted one of the babies for herself and Heather helped facilitate it. She points out the babies were fraternal twins and she picked the better of the two for Susan. She gave the sinister looking baby, who gave her the creeps, to the nurse. Sam asks for the nurse's name and Heather tells her it was Betsy Frank. Sam declares that is Franco's mother. Heather is thrilled she is related to Franco. Sam leaves without taking the letter for Steve. Heather says to herself, "Don't worry. Mama's coming." In the hallway, Sam drops to her knees realizing her baby could still be Franco's.
Carly tells Luke at the Metro Court she won't comp his hotel bill if he has a roommate. Luke pleads his case regarding Anna, but Carly isn't happy Luke sold Sonny the information she was supposed to get and then humiliated Johnny with it. Luke wonders why she cares so much about young Zacchara. She responds that she feels compassion for him. Luke realizes Carly has gone past compassion for Johnny and fallen into the abyss. Luke lectures her about the dangers of sleeping with Sonny's enemy. Johnny walks up and Luke warns his niece to be careful before heading to the elevator. Carly tells Johnny Luke thinks he is using her to get back at Sonny. Johnny asks if she believes that. He asks her to prove she doesn’t care what anyone else thinks by having lunch with him at the hotel restaurant.
Olivia meets Sonny at the Metro Court restaurant. She asks him to do something about Johnny putting the screws to Steve. He wonders what she wants him to do. She replies, "Whatever it takes." She clarifies that she doesn’t want him to kill Johnny, just to persuade him to back off. Johnny and Carly show up and Johnny taunts both Olivia and Sonny. After he walks away, Olivia tells Sonny if he can wipe that smug look off Johnny's face, she will forever be in his debt. Sonny joins Carly and Johnny, who are flirting at the bar, and taunts her about Michael finding out about them.
After Kate runs away from him at the hospital, Johnny approaches Steve and demands the list he asked for. Steve reluctantly gives it to him. Kate meets with Ewen in a hospital room. Still worried about Connie, she asks him to hypnotize her to find out what her alter is up to. Ewen puts Kate under and Connie emerges. He asks if the gun in Kate's office was hers. She starts to flirt with him, but he presses her about the gun. When she gets upset, she runs out of the room and runs into Steve. She starts to hit on him, which baffles Steve. Ewen walks out and drags Connie back in the room. Olivia returns and Steve tells her Kate just hit on him. Back in the room, Connie remains difficult for Ewen, who continues questioning her about the gun. Kate returns when Connie gets too upset talking about the accident.
Starr hides at Michael's, as Jason stops by. She listens in as Jason and Michael discuss Sonny and whether or not he's guilty of the accident. They move on to discussing Starr and Jason suggests his nephew stay away from her. Sonny drops in and reiterates that he doesn't want Michael to have any contact with Starr. Michael asks if he is nervous about the trial. Sonny is good as long as his son is behind him. Michael says, "Always," as Starr's face hardens.
Still in Anna's hotel room, John explains that Sonny killed his sister and he wants him to finally pay for his crimes, including the deaths of Cole and Hope. They go over the evidence in the accident and Anna wonders what he'll do if it leads him to someone other than Sonny. As they discuss it, Luke returns to the room and learns that McBain was in the FBI and has read his files regarding Frank Smith. John and Anna discuss Sonny more in the hallway before he leaves. Anna returns to Luke, who questions her about McBain. He says he doesn't like sharing.
John runs into Kate in the Metro Court lobby and questions her about the case. She gets agitated and says she can't help him.
