yes i agree with holly. she is a stunning woman, but i think she lost alot of weight, and not the kind she ever needed too cause she was perfect in weight. i think brenda part 2 had that problem, people commented on how strange she looked, but i think it was weight loss in places like the face. when a thin person loses weight, it is in the arms and face.

in fact, me and my husb noted that mac has lost alot of weight in that way it looks like.

on that subject, sam looks much better lately in that her face doesn't look sunken and eyes with dark circles.

    Good morning everyone:

    WillowK: Great post!

Scrimmage: DO IT!!!! You are a natural.

I agree with several posters about the strong focus on OLTL while Robert, Holly and Ethan are leaving. Wish they would have kept those three or showed (as in Scrimmage's script) their adventure. Starr is already seriously annoying me. And please tie up those loose ends of storylines. Why would they give them long term contracts without judging the audience first.

It will hard to determine if the ratings boost would be from the vets or the OLTL starting...maybe a little of both.

    Keep the vets first.

Why does keeping Robert safe by saving Ethan have to result in Luke lying to his other two kids..a little overkill.

    Hello

I’m in the process of watching all of this weeks shows and find myself ff at record speed. I use to watch OLTL years ago but chose not to watch these last few years. I speaking only for myself and mean no disrespect to any OLTL fan, but that soap was cancelled. I want to see the characters that I have a interest in not hours and days of ones I don’t. I at first thought it was great to bring a few over from OLTL and have them interact with regular PC gang, but I think they need to remember this is General Hospital and not One Life to Live.

I cannot believe that Robert Scorpio fell for Luke and Holly’s lie. The Robert I remember would have seen right through those two or at least would have demanded proof. I’m so disappointed that we were only given such a short time with Robert and Holly, yet have to have endless scenes with Starr and her family.

Dante only gets dumber by the hour.

    -OT-

Scrimmage- I think you would make an excellent soap or series writer. Best of Luck.

Mamajj- I have been thinking about you all week and was happy to hear your husband found a job. Wishing you better days ahead.

    Hi Poodles.

Article that they have fired the GH music director (who has won several emmys) and hired the OLTL music director. Okay now its getting disturbing.

Carly/Todd/Starr/Ephiphany-The highlight of the show today was Carly getting caught by Ephiphany. She is one person that is not intimidated or impressed by Carly. Carly may think she got the upper hand by throwing the scrubs and leaving in her underwear but that shows how obnoxious she is. As for Jason, I think he may not like the fact that Robin's death was held from him but he will understand that Sam did it out of concern for his welfare. Todd was more successful and got a chance to visit with his daughter. I knew Starr wouldn't be mad for long and I can see that Todd is determined to get justice for his granddaughter.

Lulu/Dante/Delores-I think Delores deleted the pictures b/c she wants to catch the guy on her own and get justice her way.

Ewen/Kate-I like Ewen and think this is a good storyline for him. He definitely seems to have a better grasp of what is going on with Kate than Cassandra. If I were Kate, I would take him up on his offer.

Holly/Robert/Luke-I am a Robert and Holly fan so I am glad that they will leave together to "rescue" Ethan. I hope though that Ethan will truly turn out to be Robert's son but if not I hope the writers will be inspired by Scrimmage's post and have the two men form some sort of bond.

Srimmage-you're very welcome, look forward to hearing how it goes.

Dexdon--my thought exactly, Robert wasn't keeping up with PC news, and now he's off chasing Ethan, don't see any reason for Luke to lie to Lulu and Lucky.

Beancounter--good thought on Delores, like that angle better than she is covering for her husband.

Willowk, Poodles, PumpkinGirl, Runnergirl, Dexdon, Lily hunter, and Beancounter, Thanks for all the encouragement. I feel like you're all sending me off to Band Camp, but I haven't left yet!

After hearing about the firing of the music director, I'm beginning to see a familiar pattern. When Big Bill Parcells became the coach of the Dallas Cowboys, he brought with him several assistant coaches, front office personnel, and former players from his days with the Jets, some of whom also worked for Parcells when he was the Head Coach of the NY Giants, one of the Cowboys' biggest rivals. During training camp, he also brought in retired players to give the Cowboys some tips on the finer points of Parcells' defense, which means he was bringing in his old Giants players at the exclusion of the former stars of the Cowboys. That did not sit well with the Cowboy alumni (especially the ones in the Ring Of Honor), or with the local fan base because it seemed to be dismissive of the rich tradition that had been established HERE in favor of that the hated Giants, who competed fiercely against our club for years. We didn't want our team to be a pale imitation of the NYGiants; we wanted them to uphold and add to the long and glorious tradition of the Dallas Cowboys.

I see the same thing happening on GH. I can understand how the head of a new regime would want to hire his own staff, and surround himself with people he trusts and is comfortable working with, and who know what he expects. The problem is the perception that Ron Calavarti has the attitude that all the things that were once part of One Life To Live are inherently superior to their counterparts on General Hospital, from the writing, to the music, and including the cast. That seems to be the reasoning behind bringing in Blair, who for all intents and purposes is indistinguishable from Carly, and Todd, who seems to be a composite of Sonny and Jason. (I won't even mention Starr, who's troubles I've already discussed.) That's like a coach bringing in the star quarterback and running back from his old team, when his new team already has All-Pros at those positions. At best, it's needlessly redundant; at worst, it's disruptive, and an insult to the established players / actors who will now be forced to compete with the newcomers for storylines that were once written exclusively for them, and they won't be competing on a level playing field either because they're going up against the new bosses' personal favorites. This does not bode well for cast harmony.

RC would do well to remember that the name of the show that was canceled was ONE Life To Live. They had their one life, and now it's over. He must resist the temptation to try to remake GH in it's image. It will alienate the longtime GH faithful, and it won't satisfy the fans of OLTL either. Nothing short of putting their soap back on the air would be enough.

If the writers were to grant my fondest wish, they would have Blaire kick Carly's a$$ really good once or twice.

I've been watching GH since the late 1970's and OLTL for about 5 years. That being said, I've always been more loyal to GH! OLTL was really stinking the last few years. I'm of 2 minds about bringing OLTL characters over. It will be interesting to see Todd and Sonny interact. I am so tired of Sonny. He finally gets to meet his OLTL doppelganger. They are both guilty of many crimes and act above it all. Todd has a long history of horrible acts, but he doesn't put his family in danger nearly as often as Sonny. I agree that most of the OLTL characters had no introduction...but really, who ever does? TJ, Ewan, Ethan, Cassandra to name just a few. They just appear on the show and we slowly (and often torturously slowly) learn their history. The DID story was done ad nauseum on OLTL and I can't believe they brought that tired storyline to GH. If TJ, Matt, Ewan, Steve, Maggie, Ronnie, Lulu, Dante, Helena and Delores all exit then maybe they can better integrate the OLTL characters with some of the stronger old time characters on GH. And I may get a lot of flack here, but aside from Anna, the reappearance of Robert and Holly has been awful. Robert is at once suicidal over Robin and then can't even stay for the funeral. Holly makes up one story and another about Ethan's paternity. Go away. Oh, and take Sonny with you. Same old tired character with no growth in 15 years.
