Scrimmage, wasn't it you who noticed the purplish color in MB/Sonny's hair? Something tells me maybe that's the lighting, rather than anything else. I've seen the same with KMc's and KeMo's hair too. And Dante.

The new writers forgot an important piece of information when they wrote Blair saying they will call John McBain and have him contact Cole's parents. OK A little backstory for those who are not aware. Cole's mother Marty had a psychotic break and tried to kill John Mcbain's girlfriend Natalie and stole John and Natalie's baby. Faux Todd(Victor) found out(long story) and arraigned for Marty to be reunited with Patrick Thornhart was believed to be dead but really alive who is Cole's dad. When OLTL ended had no idea where Marty was who unless he found out behind the scenes, why would Blair think of asking him to call Marty and John. BTW Todd in a sensational storyline in the 90's raped Marty when they were in college. Oh well just thought I would share this info.P.S. it was great to hear Blair mention the boys at home.Oh wow wouldn't having Jack Manning on GH in a cool storyline with Molly. Bye for now

Pumpkin, I totally agree with you. Many people take this show and its characters very seriously. Someone even threatened Kelly Monaco directly because they wanted her off the show so Jason & Liz can be together. That is totally loco!

You realise that this is all just fluff after you go through something much more serious in your real life. Are you still battling health problems? I hope you’re heaps better now. Sending good thoughts to you.

4my, I’m not going to get into the Carly vs Sam thing either. It’s pointless because I have my opinion and it won’t change anytime soon. To me, Sam approached Carly with an attitude because Carly is.....what’s the word? A pitbull.

Dexdon, Liz’s children are probably at the local mall buying cigarettes and drinking. She wouldn’t even know anyway. Joke, joke!

I’m not usually a fan of AZ & Johnny, but this storyline makes me laugh. Connie sure is a close talker.

Welcome to all new posters. It made me think about some posters we haven’t seen in a while. Where is Dubbs?

What the HELL!! Where are my JaSam?

Off topic: I’m flying to LA (among other places) in July and will be there for the GH Fan Club Weekend. Will any of you be there?

    ********* COMINGS & GOINGS ****************

Roger Howarth (Todd) is now on contract at GH and is staying around.

    Happy Wednesday Everyone,

I was glad Dante clarified that Mac was the one who ordered Sonny’s arrest, and that for once he wants to be the one to prove Sonny didn’t commit a crime. I was a little surprised to see Sonny playing “coy” with Alexis about his innocence though. I think he just enjoys annoying her, much like Carly, but Alexis is an easier mark. I still don’t understand why he hasn’t gone back to Kate’s office to ask her about the gun, but I guess they want him to question Connie instead.

At first I couldn’t believe the writers would make such a monumental mistake as to have Robert leave before Robin’s funeral, but as I watched the scenes play out, focusing on Anna and Mac’s feelings, I understood the impact. Anna said she needed him beside her, but she wants to save him more than she really “needs” him to lean on. I sincerely hope that they bring Robert back to relight that fire this iconic couple has, sooner than later.
I have to give Robert the line of the day speaking to Luke and Holly: “We have a son that needs saving”. I don’t really think he was talking to Holly.

I think Luke is well on the healing road to redemption. I was a little skeptical of Ethan’s ability to evade Robert until Luke handed over his “bible” of contacts. Too bad we can’t see this part of the show. I’m sure Anna will have some choice words for Luke about his plan. I can’t even imagine what Tracy will say when she finds out Holly is back in town.

Finally Mac and Maxi are together. I’m betting that she blurts out that she was the one who caused the accident. I hope he doesn’t send Sonny to P’ville after that happens.

Carly should have borrowed Maggie’s clown suit, but she probably thinks wearing scrubs will make them invisible. Hah – I’m hoping that this time she meets up with Monica. She could end up banned from GH for life.

    Okay onto the show:

I’m actually liking Starr and Michael. It’s obvious where it’s heading and it should be interesting. Yes, typical soap fashion – their fathers hate each other at first sight. I agree w/ you Cherry.

mayzo, I’m also looking forward to John McBain (McPain) coming to Port Charles. He is one of my favourite characters. I too would love to see Sam and Jason involved in an adventure storyline.

Is it terrible that I don’t feel any sympathy for Maxie?

    Aussie -

Did the article say how long his contract is?

Glad they cleared up that Mac ordered the arrest, not Dante. He's often rash, but at least this one's not his fault. Liked that Alexis so effectively poked holes in the evidence, all the while not believing Sonny was innocent. Wonder if he's thinking "how did the gun get there?", sure it will occur to him eventually.

Liked how they orchestrated Carly and Todd meeting, their like two peas in a pod. Carly does gravitate towards the dangerous ones.

Anna was so good today, perfectly embodying grief, strength, and need. She really wanted Robert to stay, but didn't stand in his way. Too bad he can't see that being there for Anna, Emma, and Mac should be enough. I ached for her when she hugged the koala bear at the end.

I think Holly may be on to something, why would Ethan just hop around, when he's bent on revenging Cassandra's death. Luke and Holly may soon be following Ethan and Robert to help out.

Felt for Maxie today, wish she'd confessed to Lulu, glad Mac was there at the end to comfort her.

    RE Spoiler

Wonder if Todd will be the new AZ, since it seems they like to have a foil for Sonny. What would be nice is to have someone else be blamed for stuff besides Sonny. Todd was suspected of everything, he was the closest thing OLTL had to Sonny, hot-headed, not the brightest, his kids are the center of his life. Does one soap need two such characters? I'd vote for letting Sonny's character evolve a bit, perhaps becoming the philanthropic mob boss Scrimmage has talked about, and leave the guns and revenge plots to underlings.

Smugrobin – Like Shepmajor said, there are Five Families that control New York City and the surrounding Burroughs. Port Charles is Sonny’s territory, but the Zacharras apparently control certain areas in and around the docks and a few, but not all, of the businesses and distribution routes for whatever illegal products they bring in through the ports there that eventually end up in NYC and other places. That’s why Sonny has a business arrangement with the other Families. If they want to bring anything in through a port beyond the view of the NYC Port Authority, they have to pay Sonny. Conversely, if Sonny wants to do anything in New York, he has to clear it with them and give them a piece of the action as well.

Leo123 – I agree with you about Starr’s lack of acting chops. She isn’t very nuanced in her portrayal and comes off like a girl with the lead in the high school play, mostly because she was blonde and pretty. Someone needs to point out to her that intense emotion does not mean increased volume. Starr suffers by comparison when her scenes are sandwiched between some of the great work we’re seeing from other actors on the show. Kate/Connie has been very impressive lately, just from the perspective of watching her acting technique as she shows Kate’s deteriorating mental state one second and Connie’s cold-blooded pragmatism the next. Who knew she was so talented? When you can watch a character’s face and think you can tell what different emotions and thoughts are running through their minds without them saying a word, you know you’re watching a real pro.

I don’t have a big enough sample size to judge the actors who play Blair and Todd, although it struck me that Todd’s voice doesn’t sound anything like I would’ve imagined. He looks like a tough guy, but he sounds like a TV weatherman. I guess there’s nothing that he can do about something like that, but he’s not exactly as scary sounding as he looks, like for example, Tony Soprano or Christian Bale as Batman.

Shepmajor – I think it may have been Fubu who mentioned Sonny’s purple hair. I’ve never noticed it on anyone but Holly myself, but it could be an artifact of the lighting. If he’s really coloring his hair, wouldn’t you love to see everybody’s reaction if one day Sonny showed up with blue, Katy Perry hair, and just went about his business as if nothing was different while nobody was brave enough to bring it up? Maybe he could do it if he ever needs to plead insanity.

Lily hunter – You’re exactly right, it’s a pity that sometimes the best stuff on the show, like Ethan’s upcoming adventures, or Sonny’s Thanksgiving Dinner, happen off screen. I was sad to see Ethan go as well, but on the bright side, that eliminates the possibility that he and Starr would ever get married. I’ve got a big enough problem with anyone having the uber-pretentious name of “Starr” in the first place. I couldn’t handle a character named “Starr Lovett!” LOL!

Aussie1 – Thank you for the “comings and goings” warning. You warm my SPOILER-FREE heart.
