Robin makes Jason a promise, Johnny and Anthony continue to spar, and Maxie defends her actions…

Sam finds Franco's DVD at home and remembers Jason warning her not to watch it alone. She pops the DVD into the laptop.

Patrick joins Robin in the lab. He's proud of Robin's dedication and knows she'll find something to help Jason. She looks into the microscope and finds options with hopes of finding the one that'll save Jason's life.

Carly finds Jason trying to leave his hospital room. She can't believe he didn't tell her he was sick and blames Sam for everything. As they argue, Jason gets dizzy. Carly wants to get help, but Jason stops her. She wonders where Sam is and how she could leave Jason alone. "She's pregnant," Jason admits. Carly hugs Jason, happy for him. He begs her to cut Sam some slack and not start any fights. Sam appears and hands Jason the laptop. Carly and Sam try to be civil but are asked to leave when Robin joins them. Alone, Robin informs Jason is going to need surgery. He agrees to do whatever it takes. She has faith in his future and is happy to hear Sam is pregnant. Before she leaves, Robin vows to come back soon with good news.

Out by the nurses' station, Olivia finds Steve and reminds him of the benefit tonight. They agree to meet later, as Maggie watches on. She runs into Tim, a lab tech, who agrees to be her date to the benefit. Maggie joins Steve and Olivia and brags about her date. After Olivia leaves, Steve grills Maggie about going out with strangers and warns she knows nothing about Tim. Talk turns to their past. Steve admits he got a call. The authorities are reopening the case into their patient's death. Steve suggests until someone gets closer to the real story they act as though the real story is what they've told. "Be careful on your date tonight," Steve warns then leaves. Nearby, Carly admits to Sam that Jason got dizzy earlier. Sam knows Carly is worried about Jason and assures her that Robin is going to save him.
Back in the lab, Robin doesn't have any luck. Patrick gets called away and urges her to keep trying. Later, Carly barges in and demands to know how Robin's going to save Jason.

Sam rejoins Jason and promises she didn't watch the DVD. They watch it together and see a baby. "What does that mean?" Sam asks.

Johnny confronts Anthony at the club, who's dining with his goon Lenard. He warns them both to stay out of his business and life. After Lenard leaves, Anthony wonders what Johnny has going with Dr. Webber. Johnny dismisses his inquiry and wishes he would've had his real father around. Anthony claims he cared for Johnny the best he could. One day he'll understand he only wants Johnny to be successful. Johnny vows to move on. Anthony hopes it's not with Carly. Sonny's a possessive bastard. John could be walking into trouble. He doesn't want his 'Grandpa's' concern. Anthony gives him a tip about a shipment then leaves. Olivia appears. She can tell Johnny's about to make a mistake and warns him against it. Olivia cares about him and begs Johnny to take care of himself. Later, Johnny calls and orders a shipment to be turned around and sent east.

Outside, Maxie admits to Matt that she's not sorry for turning Liz in. She's the one person who made Lucky feel the guiltiest. Matt feels Liz took the meds to help Lucky. Maxie thinks Matt's in denial and warns if Lucky returns, Liz will turn away from Matt in a heartbeat. What Maxie did doesn't make her a bad person. Matt thinks otherwise and calls Maxie a hypocrite. She might be but so is Liz. The only difference is Matt always gives Liz the benefit of the doubt and only criticizes her. Matt demands Maxie stop making their problems about Liz. Maxie finally admits they don't work well or understand each other. She refuses to continue pretending they do. Matt claims he tried to pretend too, more than she will ever know. Matt walks away. Anthony appears. Maxie vows never to ask him for another favor.

Ethan brings Cassandra tea at Wyndemere. When Ewen appears, Ethan claims Cassandra has something to tell him. She doesn't want to talk about it. Ethan admits Cassandra remembers a market and waiting for someone to arrive. Ewen shows them a book that she'd been reading and claims a passage in there became her memory. "Why would you lie to me?" Ethan asks. Cassandra didn't realize it and claims she can't separate fact from fiction. Ewen confirms it then leaves, appearing nervous. She swears to Ethan that she's not lying. Cassandra doesn't remember her past. He promises to trust her.
