Poodles: Hub's gumbo is probably great, trouble is I'm not a gumbo person. Who would guess a girl from South Louisiana would not like gumbo? But I've got my homemade split pea soup on the stove as we speak!

I am so glad that this   Franco fiasco is over... Well at least for now.  I hope Sonny is ok! I am so happy Sam told Jason about the pregnancy.
    *Off Topic-
Hi Poodles,  my husband  and I participated in the marathon.   The whether  was awesome!  I am really looking forward to the Cooper River Bridge  Run as well.
I am making "Frogmore stew (low Country Boil) for dinner and unfortunately I have to run to the sea food market out of shrimp.
    Have a great day everyone!

I am so over Michal. He is brat that needs his parents to set him straight fast, I don't care that he's an adult, sometimes adults need a good slap to get them back on track.

I'm glad Liz decided to tell Patrick what was going on and I hope she tells him everything. I know many people will disagree, but her leaving her family wthout saying a word about the truth is the worse thing she could ever do to her child and husband. Walking away for ever without an explanation or even with one is worse on your loved ones than dying. When someone dies, it is a terrible thing to bare, but at least you know what happend and why, but for someone to just walk away and never come back has to be a nightmare that just never goes away. Very bad call on her part.

I'm enjoying S/K and I hope it leads to somthing. I also loved the way Olivia told off Maggie.

I for one am very excited with the OLTL actors coming to GH. I would love to seen McBain come in between Jayson and Sam. Michael Easton and Kelly Monoco have wonderful chemistry (re Port Charles). I am praying for a miracle for our beloved GH as if the writing kept going this way it would be the next canceled. The stories are way to "dark". Less mob and death and more family and romance. We shall see what Ron will write. I wish Ted King and Florencia were coming too. How about Trevor since Victor is still alive. Wonder if Alcazar will be back. Should be interesting.

I wonder why when All My Children went off the air GH or OLTL didn't get a surge of those characters? Any thoughts?

Hi rans - when AMC first went off the air, they were under the impression that the shows were going to continue online with Prospect Park. So, with that idea, it didn't make sense to move the characters to either of the other two remaining shows. That's also why they ended AMC with a cliffhanger - they thought they'd have a chance to resolve it when the show resumed.

Thanks Ring, wonder why they didn't try to hop on board after they knew the on-line thing wasn't going to work out.?

Glad to see you posting again.
I know you don't like my Sonny because of his treatment of Claudia, but what do you think if they paired him with Blair? They could really be something!

Posted by Ringleader at Sunday, January 15 2012 02:12 PM

Hey rans - to be quite honest, I don't know how they could really redeem Sonny for me to be able to like him again. I suppose a start would be for him to start taking responsibility for his own actions and not blaming others for everything he does. That's one of the things that I always hated about FauxTodd/Victor manning Jr. on OLTL as well. For every single nasty thing he did, there was always a "they asked for it" or so-and-so "made me do it." And it's the same with Sonny. To me, that's just so, well, "un-manly." They sound like whiney 'tweenagers to me when they do that. I like Blair and Todd (Roger Howarth's Todd), so I don't think I'd like to see her with Sonny at all.

As far as bringing on some AMC characters now that the online thing went kaput, I could see it. I mean, they already moved them all out to LA anyway, so it's not like they're still in NY. But like others have said, it would have to make sense. It would also mean some MAJOR changes on GH, namely no more "all mob, all the time" storylines - which might finally be possible with Guza gone. But that would definitely bump Sonny off the forefront of the storylines. Do you think that the GH devotees would be okay with that? Personally, I don't, although you know I'd love to see it happen.

Ring: besides Sonny being "a mob boss" there have not been any mobish s/l's in ages. A few conversations with John about territory but, that's about it. No Karpov/Alcazar/Manny stuff in quite a long time.

I don't know if the OLTL characters are coming with their back stories/history or not. This could be interesting.
