That Battle Axe Is My Wife.

    Wednesday, November 30 2011
Maggie puts her foot in her mouth, Mac consoles Robin, and Franco sends a message.

In the hospital break room, Steve tells Olivia he knows she's pregnant. Says she's not, but he points out it wouldn’t be the first time she kept quiet about a baby. She assures him she would tell him if she were because the circumstances are vastly different. She assumes he would have been freaked out if were pregnant, but Steve tries to play it off. However, he does say not everyone is meant to be a parent.

Elsewhere at General Hospital, Lucky talks with Maggie about his mystical time in Ireland. He says he can still feel Siobhan around. Maggie says love is a powerful thing that can't be broken. Lucky informs Maggie that she is part of all this because the name of the church he was instructed to go to was St. Margaret's and she saved his son. He says, "St. Maggie." She tells him working as a pediatrician has taught her never to give up. After Maggie walks away, Ethan shows up to welcome his brother home. Ethan asks about Lucky's message from beyond, but Lucky is still trying to figure it out. For now, he's just going to focus on being a good cop and a good dad. Ethan thinks he needs more than that. Lucky agrees, but doesn’t know what else he wants.

Patrick brings Emma to the hospital because she has a stomachache. He meets Maggie, who checks Emma out. Maggie tells Patrick Emma is fine. She was probably just looking for attention. Maggie races Emma around in a wheelchair until Patrick reminds her they are in a hospital. Maggie knows and remarks that the chief of staff is a battle axe. Her mouth drops when he says that battle axe is his wife.

Mac finds Robin still on the bridge talking to Stone. He wonders why Stone's death is hitting her so hard this year. Robin brings up Lisa and how she has left a cloud hanging over all of them, but Stone always had a bright light around him. She beats herself up for letting Lisa destroy her life and her marriage. They talk about the murder investigation and Robin says, "I was only defending myself. It was self defense." Mac instructs her to be careful what she says to him. Robin was only trying to say that anyone affected by Lisa was acting in self-defense. Mac says she was killed so someone has to pay the price. The topic turns to Mac's lack of a personal life and Robin says it would be nice to see her uncle happy before she dies. Concerned, Mac hugs her and says he won't let that happen. Mac gives Robin a moment alone on the bridge before they leave. She hears Stone say, "I see you Robin."

At home, Shawn and Carly open the package from the porch. They find two gifts. Shawn opens a small pink box with a tiny baby toy in it. The other is a video from Franco. Carly grabs her laptop and they play it. Franco addresses Josslyn in the video. He tells Carly's daughter he's sorry her daddy left her and that there is one less set of eyes to watch after her. Carly turns it off worried Franco is coming after Joss.

On the balcony at the penthouse, Jason tells Sam he's there for her. She knows, but she wants to be alone. After Sam walks away, Jason gets a call from Carly telling him about Franco's video.

Jason shows up at Carly's and watches the rest of Franco's video with her and Shawn. Franco declares he will be there for Josslyn should everyone else abandon her. Jason slams the laptop shut and Carly shows him the toy baby they received as well. She thinks it means Franco is after Josslyn. Jason flashes back to Franco being with Sam and throws the laptop across the room.

Abby meets Johnny at Jake's. A couple of Abby's stripper friends are there as well. Abby learns Johnny closed the strip club for now and watches as he defends the ladies from an overeager patron. Abby asks Johnny to do something about the guy who is after the strippers before someone gets hurt. Meanwhile, a man covered by a hoodie sits at the bar. Sam shows up and tells Abby she is looking into the case for Michael. She wants to go undercover but Abby doesn’t think it's necessary. Sam watches the drunk handsy guy leave and follows him.

Sam runs into the alley and sees Franco's graffiti on a wall, as a man approaches.

Tomorrow's Port Charles spoilers for General Hospital:

Sam and Jason try to decipher Franco's graffiti.

Mac asks Alexis for a favor.

    Delores questions Johnny again.

you're not the downer, Aussie, the show is. Lucky lost his son, his wife, his father practically, his other son became seriously ill and his high school sweetheart lies in the hospital because she almost died.

Jason and Sam cannot pull it together. I wish the hell they could. Sam is driving me nuts, and Jason is too, to some degree.

My two favorites on the show, actually, my one favorite, is Shawn. If Carly could only stop yelling at everybody she'd be my other favorite. I now like the Franco story as it's adding mystery to the plot.

I've never been a Robin favorite but today she really pulled at my heartstrings so I know we're heading toward another tear jerker. Just what we need. Maxie, please come back, drop Matt and go find Spinelli. You two are so much fun together.

Hey, off topic I was walking through my grocery store the other day when I walked by the bakery shop and it had a big sign on the Counter that read "Spinelli's". I'll have to go back to find out what that was all about. No, I didn't stop to find out. Not sure why.

Oh, and mamajj the Spew is all about Christmas cooking. for the next four weeks. I don't know how they do it. No, I don't watch. But I have to admit I don't miss AMC either. Horrible show, but just my opinion.

I liked Robin and Mac talking, although Robin was all over the place, maybe she's daying, maybe she killed Lisa in self-defense, maybe she's just depressed.

The Maggie/Lucky talk was okay, but think they overdid it with her and Emma. We get it, she's good with kids.

Think that was Franco in the bar when Abby was talking to Johnny, not a good omen, although like many of you, I'm glad the story is starting to go somewhere.

Ttoyou- they have a Spinelli’s Bakery in Boston. When all of us (husband, Poodles, & Dr. Poodles) ran the Boston Marathon last year Poodles insisted we get something from the place. I think they also have a location next to Brown University in RI where Poodles husband went to school. I had the best Tiramisus–just thinking about it makes me smile.

I haven’t watched the show yet and probably won’t. Sounds way to depressing for me. I did get a text form poodles a little while ago and she said she’s through. I’m hoping it’s the hormones talking, but I think the writers need to give us something we would want to watch. Speaking for myself, I think they are ruining my fav JaSam. Relationships are only really tested when the going gets tough-I don’t think their holding up well at all.

Sorry for the typo’s I’m on my phone.

Hi Poodles- Hang in there. It has to get better.

Having trouble posting. Trying to see if this works.

    Happy Wednesday Everyone,

Wow, Carly was dead on right about Franco watching all of them squirm. I’m thinking the moon might turn bright blue tonight because that’s the frequency of her instincts leading her in the correct direction. I’ll bet Shawn will feel a little foolish when Sam comes back with Franco’s fresh tagging paint on her fingers. Of course, her moments of genius never last long as we saw when she pulled the creepy wind-up baby out of the box and declared that Franco must be after Joslyn.

Okay, I was starting to like Maggie until she made the most positive reassuring statement (Love is a powerful thing with a link that can’t be broken AND Never give up hope on people) sound even creepier than anything Lisa ever said. I also can’t believe that she didn’t know Patrick is married to Robin after all the time she spent stalking the staff in the clown outfit, but I have to give her credit for pulling out “Battle Axe”. I don’t think I’ve heard that one since my dad used it in the 60’s. As much as it might be fun to see Steve tormented by her, I think it’s a little too soon for Crazy Ex redux.

Speaking of Steve, well, he’s an ill-mannered dolt. His first reaction to Olivia’s non-pregnancy is to tell her that he thought she was keeping the baby a secret from him as she had kept Dante from Sonny. His follow-up confession about seeing the pregnancy test but not saying anything was even worse, I think. Good for Olivia calling Steve on his juvenile reaction.

I find it interesting that Abby has gone to Johnny for help finding the person who has been attacking the Vaughn’s girls, even though he is their boss, not that I would complain about seeing a little more of him, especially in hero mode. Too bad Franco was sitting within earshot enjoying a beverage at the time. Johnny could have been the surprise player on the team that tipped the odds in JaSam’s favor. Now that Jason is thinking baby/Sam/Franco, he’s going need all the help he can get. Maybe Lucky will help out now that he’s back and looking for some lawful challenges. In any case, glad to see Franco back as I’m hoping we’ll see the end of him sooner than later. By the way, all that talk of fatherly abandonment on the video makes me think he might be one of Alan Q’s strays.

Oh how could Jason let Sam walk off in the middle of the night alone regardless of what she said! And again why is no one in bed? Apparently Jake's is open all night! Sam's comment about nothing worse happening to her was just stupid. I think dead is worse but maybe that's just me! There are a lot of women wandering around in the dark alone in Port Charles. Robin is hanging out on a bridge in the middle of nowhere and Patrick is seemingly OK with this??

Ttoyou – I’ll bet a “Spinelli” is a pastry that is discounted because someone stuck their finger in it.

    Continuing along those lines…

A “Lulu” would be half a glass of an expensive alcoholic beverage that someone else has already sipped from.

A “Carly” would be tequila shots served with frozen pizza - a combination rumored to be a potent aphrodisiac.

An “Oblivia” would be a four course, home cooked meal that the anorexic cook never eats.

A “Lizzie” would be a romantic dinner for two eaten by one person.

A “Robin” would be a healthy dish that nobody likes that your wife shoves down your throat anyway.

And finally, a “Sonny” would be a hot and spicy meal that looks great and tastes delicious, but leaves you strangely unsatisfied and gives you such terrible indigestion that you wish you had never taken a bite.

    Fun with food!

I'd love to know if there is any female input or script editing within the current writing on GH. Considering that the producer is supposedly female, it surprises me that all the women are portrayed as stalkers, nags, manipulators, or victims.

Lily hunter – I think I read somewhere that they just added another female writer to the staff who was from some other soap that was cancelled. I’m stunned that the only two supposedly happily married couples, Sam and Jason and Patrick and Robin, are the most miserable people on the show. What’s up with that? I think they are seriously misreading their core audience - married women - who you would think would want at least one couple they can relate to.
