I mostly enjoyed today, except for Steve/Olivia. The Lisa scenes did border (or cross into?) camp, but that's okay. At least Robin got all Scorpio on Lisa there at the end.

Matt was a sorry sack of pity. I didn't feel bad for him, he was too busy feeling sorry for himself, didn't need us chiming in. I thought for a minute he might have stumbled on Lisa/Robin/Patrick, but no luck.

I really enjoyed Jason talking to Sean, and even Carly and Sam talking. For once it wasn't a fight of some kind.

I really am bored by this show lately. Olivia and her "Captain Captain" mouth going around. Don't feel anything for her and Steve. I hope she's not prego. Question about this boat trip...Wasn't it supposed to be like a 3-4 hr.trip?? Do they usually supply rooms for the people too?? Where is Anthony hiding out with a puncture in his stomach? He's not a young man like Dante and Johnny that survive bullet holes with no problem.

That was Jax that saved Liz not?

Granoni wrote: “do honeymoon cabins routinely have pack and play cribs in them…?”

I think the management of the resort where they’re staying could probably provide a crib for their guests. It’s not like Jason and Sam are all alone on a deserted island, which makes it even more preposterous that Carly should have to “schlep” (love that word) her baby and everything that includes all the way to Hawaii just to get in touch with Jason.

At least Sam and Carly were able to have a normal conversation like regular people without coming to blows. I guess they’d rather tolerate each other than listen to Josslyn cry for another few hours, and remarkably, they even agreed that it was Carly that ran Jax off. Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t the trigger that broke up Jax and Carly when he went to London (or maybe Paris?) on Brenda’s behalf, to help her deal with the Balkan threat, and didn’t tell Carly what he was doing? Didn’t Carly overreact to that and wasn’t that the reason she originally threw Jax out of the house? I don’t think they ever lived together from that point on.

Gee, I think Carly wants Shawn to ask her to go steady, with all the “a girl wants to know what a guy thinks…” talk. Sheesh! Is she REALLY the mother of three children? Can it be any more obvious that this man needs a DOG??!! And I don’t mean a stuffed one!

Maybe the theme today was “reverting back to high school stereotypes.” Oblivia talking about what she can tell about a guy from looking under his hood and checking out his spark plugs was pretty funny on a junior high level, but the sight of her working on a RUNNING engine while wearing an evening dress and fainting at the drop of a wrench was pretty effing hilarious! I don’t think she even got her hands dirty. She would look more convincing doing brain surgery than engine work, but hey, at least she tried to look like she knew what she was doing.

As for the fainting, is that still SOAP code for “pregnant?” Does that really happen? Are women getting themselves knocked up and passing out all over the place, and I’ve just missed it or something? It’s GOT to be something else doesn’t it? We don’t need some evil hybrid of Dante and Liz’s DNA, especially when the mother will be ready to collect Social Security by graduation time. Oblivia already sacrificed her teenage years raising a child alone; she shouldn’t have to go through that again just when she’s finally about to get the first one married off.

Is Jason really ready to retire? Did he mean that, or was that just wishful thinking on his part? He should definitely reconsider the reasons why he’s loyal to Sonny to evaluate if they’re still valid or apply to his current situation, especially if he’s thinking about starting a family with Sam. He’s paid back anything he ever owed Sonny many times over, so I see no reason why he couldn’t simply walk away if he wanted to. What rival mob wouldn’t welcome the news that he was out, and leave him alone so he’s stay out? If Sonny somehow earned Shawn’s loyalty (which is the real question), and Shawn took over for Jason, then he could retire with the thought that Sonny and his business were in good hands. The question for Jason is: why would Shawn stick his neck out for an arrogant SOB like Sonny? And by extension, why should HE?

The other question for Jason is: “What the hell is Sam talking about with this ‘Signs from the Universe’ stuff? Is the Universe saying we should have a baby or not?”

Maybe the Universe is waiting for the focus group results to come back.

Poor Dr. Matt. Drunk and all alone at his own party while everybody else, as far as he knows in his stupor, is getting their groove on, including the Captain and Tennille! But everything he’s saying is true – he WAS an accident and his father shamefully treated him like one. In vino, veritas. He’s going to be completely useless against Lisa.

At least Bigfoot is up on recent findings about CPR. They now recommend chest compressions only, and not mouth-to-mouth, I’m not sure why that changed. Maybe Poodles can ask Dr. Poodles about that. Bigfoot not only has big feet, but he looks pretty bulky and kinda clumsy too, did anybody else get that impression?

And continuing with the upward trend on the ick-factor lately, starting with the way Lulu polished off Sonny’s glass of Brandy after he’d already sipped from it, today we have Lisa using Robin’s own HIV infected blood as a weapon. Gross!! I know it’s getting close to Halloween, but that’s really pushing the boundaries of poor taste if you ask me. I can’t believe that THIS is the best revenge Lisa (or the writers) could come up with, and I can’t believe that this is the best that Robert and Anna’s daughter can do in a hand-to-hand combat situation. Robin’s said on several occasions that she learned how to do things, like pick a lock, from her parents. You’d think that surely they would’ve taught her the basics of self defense, but she’s not doing very well against Lisa. How she got herself loose I’ll never know. It looked like the rope she was tugging on would’ve made the knot tighter, and Lisa should be able to tie a knot more securely than that. She IS a surgeon after all.

Scrimmage...my understanding of the change in cpr is.... chest compressions also compress the lungs for oxygen, as well as the stopping of the compressions to do the breaths actually slow down the entire process. Kinda like an engine building pressure up and then you stop pumping..and then you have to start from the beginning again.

Carly is the mother of three children..by three different fathers, just like Alexis. (I couldnt help it).

Agree on the Scorpio child...come on, kick some butt.

yes i caught that on the CPR and accuracy of it.

2 reasons for the change. they feel bystanders would be more willing to perform it on strangers, and
easier to remember with just compressions.

too funny.....scrimmage....the universe is waiting on the focus group results.

aussie-did you read who rescues Bizzy Lizzie on another site??? I looked on several over the weekend and couldn't find out anything.

Maybe Matt should get together with Lulu, the way they are both boozing it up. But, considering this 3 hour boat tour was for him, I don't blame him. Everyone has deserted him.

How much longer before loony Lisa bites the dust?? Too long!! I can't believe she got the drop on Patrick but, never fear, Robin to the rescue.

I agree Unicorn-Jasam discussing having a kid, yet again. They will talk it to death and have all of us in a stupor before they decide.

I like Shawn and Jason too. I don't think he has many men friends to relate to-Spin doesn't count.

Only a matter of time before Shawn and Carly do the deed. I hope it is sooner than later.

Hi aussie, tipsy, TT, tx, enad., FUBU, 4my, been, bean, blessed, lily, willow, unicorn, akitas, poodles, cynic, mamajj, canadagirl, cowboys, scrimmage and anyone I missed.
