    Would You Sleep With Me?

    Wednesday, October 05 2011
Carly gets flirty, Lulu gives Dante an answer, and Tracy rebuffs Luke.

As Shawn tries to explain in Sonny's office what happened in the panic room, Carly shows up and asks Michael to leave so she can talk to Sonny. When Sonny assumes she slept with Shawn, she tells him it's none of his business. Carly takes joy out of taunting Sonny with the thought of them having sex until Shawn adamantly declares it was just a nice cover for the cops and Michael while they hid the drugs. Sonny fires him, because he doesn’t know if he can trust him. Carly defends Shawn, but he doesn't need defending. He reminds Sonny he has seven bags of drugs in his panic room, so if he wants him to get rid of them he can let him know. Carly follows Shawn out to the restaurant wondering why he made having sex with her seem so out of the question. She wonders if he would sleep with her. He smirks and walks out the door. Back in the office, Michael returns to Sonny, who says Dante's shooting needs to be answered for.

In his hospital room, Dante starts to have trouble breathing and his monitors go off as he asks Lulu to marry him. Steve runs in, as Olivia brings Lulu out in the hallway. Olivia tries to reassure a freaked out Lulu that Dante will be okay and that they'll have a life together. Steve joins the women and tells them they have it under control, but it could happen again. Lulu heads back in to see Dante, who asks for her answer. He can't promise bad things won't happen, but he can promise he will love her no matter what and with everything he's got. Lulu smiles and says she will marry him, but on one condition: No one can know yet, except for Olivia, so he can recuperate. She pulls out the ring so he can put it on her finger. They call Olivia in and she excitedly reacts to the news. She reluctantly agrees to keep the secret and Lulu leaves to take care of his insurance information.

Lulu returns to the loft and pours herself a glass of wine. She finds her opera dress and gulps down her drink. She takes off her ring, smells one of Dante's shirts and lies back on the bed.

After Johnny tries to track Skye down over the phone in his penthouse, he has words with his father about Dante's shooting. Anthony later reveals that he has a swanky suite prepared and advises Johnny that life's balance is best achieved with a good woman.

Tracy is none too pleased to see Luke at the spa. He declares he quit drinking, but she finds his flask on him. He promises that he only carries it around as a test, but he hasn't had a drop in weeks. Tracy takes him to task for how he's treated his family and that his being sober is too little too late. He has done some soul searching and he's ready to deal with things, but he needs some wifely support. She informs him that department is closed and there's no money available either. Tracy tells him their marriage is over. Luke thinks it's a lot of tough talk, but he still knows her sweet spot. Tracy denies it, but tears up after he leaves. Anthony shows up and Tracy tells him Luke is home. She can't risk Luke thinking she's cheating on him, so their deal is off. Anthony counters that the price of his silence is still a night with her. Luke listens in and slyly smiles.

At a coffee shop, Abby is greeted by Ronnie. He thinks she's in a perfect position to know a lot of things being Michael's girlfriend and all. Abby doesn't know anything, but Ronnie threatens that she will need someone like him in her corner when her sweet ride is over and she's back on the pole. Once Ronnie has left, Abby leaves Michael a message and then Johnny sits down with her. Abby admits she is worried about Michael and warns Johnny to be careful. She doesn’t think Michael would go after him himself, but Johnny knows Sonny would. Abby doesn't think she should have said anything, but Johnny thanks her because now he can prepare for any outcome and protect her and Michael in the process. Abby wants to believe him. Johnny later meets with one of his men and says his truce with Sonny is apparently off. He wants Michael protected though.

I'm glad Abby warned Johnny. If harm comes to one cell on those broad, sexy, taut, muscular shoulders of his I would jump through the screen and take on an idiot mobster and his wannabe weak minded son!

Can't stand Lulu. Hope she drinks until her tongue falls out. Cannot for the life of me understand Olivia's fondness for her.

Bye bye Abby (just being hopeful).

I have always liked Sonny, but lately I find myself doing a FF in some of his scenes. I know people with bipolar and I know they can loose it, but with Sonny it’s much more. The writers think they’re making Sonny look like the tough bipolar mobster, but in reality he acts like an out of control idiot. This is obviously as real as any movie we see, but I just think what they are doing is “dumbing” his character.

Carly/Shawn/Sonny – The only reason Sonny fired Shawn is because he can’t stand the idea of C/S together in any way.

    Happy Wednesday everyone,

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I had a hard time keeping my finger off the FF button. The best line of the day, at least the one that made me laugh, was Sonny accusing Shawn of “taking advantage of the poor lady”. I imagined Carly jumping on Shawn and laughed even harder. I know that no son wants to admit that his mom is a woman, but what 20-year-old goes to his father and tattles? Now that Shawn is out of the picture Sonny and Michael are going to get into the kind of trouble that Jason may not be able to fix when he gets home. At least Johnny is trying to protect Michael.

Is there something written into the master plan of the show that stipulates at least one Spencer has to have a problem with alcohol or drugs? I really don’t see the need for Lulu to follow down that path. I do think I know why she wants to keep the engagement a secret for now - she’s afraid Maxi will want to throw an engagement party for her.

Nice to see that Luke has cleaned up his life, especially now that Tracy really does need him to save her from AZ. If Luke was as clever as he used to be, he’d convince Laura to come for a visit. I don’t think Tracy could help but give up her act.

Thanks for the well wishes. Just as soon as the weather started to warm again our cat seems to be fine. He still sneezes a little, but not as much as he was.

Hello to all GH cyber-posters: ransomha, FUBU, ENAD19, Aussie-gal, Ringleader, poodles, NYDrama, ttoyou, cynic, mamajj, cbru, cowboyfan, BeanCounter, beenaroundalongtime, lovelymarlena, Starlett, Canadagirl17, TipsyTess, TXMN, da_kid, Blesseddiva, Pumpkingirl, siliconvalleysally, lily hunter, Scrimmage, StraightTalker, Unicorn Girl, Dubbs, bayoubtr anyone I missed and all the new posters.

Ahhh, my girly Carly definitely wants some of Shawn’s pasta. Sorry Sonny, I have a feeling that pretty soon, yours won’t be the only good pasta in town. Can’t say I blame her though.

Poodles, can you recommend a good hang out spot where we can go to listen to some good music i.e., Jazz, blues etc., while sipping on a couple glasses of wine? Nothing too glitzy but more on the causal side and preferably non-smoking. We’re staying at the Congress Plaza Hotel, so we would prefer something within walking distance but we can take a taxi also. We’re added Victory’s Banner as a breakfast spot.

Lily, glad your cat is feeling better.

I am extremely glad to see that LUKE SPENCER is back, in more ways than one! Clean and sober, if a little dusty (??), I was intrigued to hear him refer to his “mental housecleaning,” his remarkable new “clarity,” and how he’s ready to face his family and friends again. Who needs rehab? I’d love to hear the story of his personal reawakening someday, but for now I’m just glad he’s back and apparently in the pink of health. Unlike Tracy, I don’t think Luke expects everyone to welcome him back with open arms the way they used to, but I loved the wry smile on his face as he listened in on Tracy and Anthony. I’m anxious to see what Garin Wolf has in mind for Luke, the iconic anti-hero of the show, who was destroyed by the previous regime because the only way they could elevate their own shoddy work was to demolish the memory of the great characters of the glory years on GH. I’m glad THAT’S finally over and we can now use the past as something to build on, not something to tear down and forget.

I wonder what his reaction will be when he finds out his idiot daughter and her secret fiancé are responsible for his friend Lupe getting murdered in Pensacola.

LINE OF THE DAY goes to Dante who said what we’ve all been experiencing.

Dante: “It feels like my proposal has been hanging in the air for days.”

    No kidding!

When Lulu said “On one condition…” they immediately went to a break, so I started thinking about what other options she must’ve gone through before she decided on keeping their engagement a secret.

Lulu: “Dante, I’ll marry you on one condition. First, you have to promise to….”

    1. “Quit the force”

    2. “Get a haircut!”

    3. “Do your own laundry, and all the cooking.” (Dante guessed that one too!)

    4. “Use protection. Wear a bullet proof vest at all times.”

    5. “Have that girlish tattoo removed from the small of your back.”

    6. “Make me your beneficiary on your insurance policy.”

Abby could claim that Ronnie was borderline propositioning her, making lewd references to her past as a dancer, and file a complaint of sexual harassment by a peace officer against him. I’ll bet Officer Medea wouldn’t say anything to contradict her.

I really like Shawn. He doesn’t usually play games, or mince words, but he knows damn well what’s coming, and Carly knows too! And Shawn knows that Carly KNOWS that he knows. The only thing that stopped them from doing it on a table right there was the fact that Sonny and Michael were in the next room.

It’s obvious that Sonny is a little intimidated by Shawn, both physically, and by his competence, which is why he’s always firing him, or insulting him, in an attempt to seem unimpressed and tear him down. The fact that he bothers Sonny so much shows just the opposite, and to assume he’s Carly’s lover only elevates him to the status of an equal competitor in Sonny’s mind. If he really was as insignificant as Sonny tries to make him seem, Sonny wouldn’t even bother to acknowledge Shawn’s existence.

    ***off topic***

I want to thank everybody for all their well wishes. So far, so good and everything is swell….or swollen like my face. It’s not all bad though. I can do a great Brando as “The Godfather” now.

Scrimmage - Glad to hear you're off the floor and healing.

What is this? Like the third time that Sonny has fired Shawn because he can't trust him? I think Shawn just pulled your fat out of the fire twice now. If it weren't for Michael, I would say that Sonny has got to be the dumbest person in Port Charles. Jason trusts him so what does that say about Sonny's trust in Jason? Methinks Sonny might be having some jealousy issues with Shawn. Isn't this like the third time Sonny has wanted to know if they're sleeping together.

Lulu finally said yes. Took her long enough. My money says she just said yes to help his recovery and as soon as he's all better, she's out the door. And she's a raving lunatic. Didn't she just curse out Lucky for his drug problems and now she's hitting the bottle? Why did Luke have to hit Jake when Lulu is such a temping target? And I do adore Olivia, but come on? I thought you wanted better for your son? I'm not sure, but I think Delores might be there to get in-between Shawn and Carly or Dante and Lulu.

Luke's back and Tracy couldn't be happier. And it looks like Luke is planning on having a little fun at AZ's expense. I don't think AZ is going to like what Luke can do to him. Don't these mobsters ever wonder why Sonny never took Luke out? I mean, this guy tangles with the Cassadines and I'm supposed to buy into the fact that AZ can put a scare into Luke. I didn't buy Sonny standing up to the Balkan and I'm not going to buy this.

Why can't someone shoot Ronnie? The guy walks around thinking that because he has a badge he can bully anybody he wants to. Just this week, he's tried to bully Shawn (Lotsa luck with that), then he tries to bully Spinelli (and got smacked down by Maxie) and now he's trying his luck with Abby? Seriously, Ronnie? Why is he even still in Port Charles? I thought he was NYPD. Regardless, I'm glad Abby gave Johnny a heads up though, but Johnny needs to wise up and throw the old man under the bus before someone (Abby) gets killed.

As far as tomorrows spoilers are concerned, why is Delores questioning Lulu about anything regarding this case? She doesn't usually know anything as it is, what makes Delores think Lulu can offer her anything regarding this case. Nevermind, I'm just going to assume she got her training from Ronnie. That would explain everything. And yes, Delores is quickly moving up on the hotness scal..... Sorry, I just zoned out thinking about a Hawaiian vacation with Sam, Delores and myself.

Have a great humpday everyone. Go Tigers! And, oh yeah. Michael is still stupid. I mean you can't make up this level of stupidity.

shawn and carly equals YAWN to me.

lulu, what? keep it a secret? so she will wait till he is well, then break his heart then i suppose. sad.

luke, i am so glad you are back. i feel he his the backbone of the show.

good no fake-maxie today. or fake-kate. or condescending neurosurgeon telling his brother whadda ya want a cookie?

Oldest trick in Sonny's book-trash a rival to make himself look good. No one is paying much attention to him though and without Jason, I am sure Shawn will continue to save Sonny and his stupid son. And taking advantage of Carly??? Sonny better get back on his meds.

Geez, Abby, you don't think Himbo would go after Johnny???? I don't think you know him as well as you think you do. Himbo would do it just to prove himself to dear old dad.

I don't see the reasoning behind Dumber's condition of keeping their engagement a secret so Dumb can recuperate. Of course, that happens quite often no matter what she does. Anyway, now she is turning into a drunk. It's not okay for Lucky to take drugs and take responsibility for it, but okay for her to turn into a lush. I am sure she will be making Dante quit the force because she can't stand the danger. Well, honey, you known that for a long time. I knew Olivia should have burned that Bride of Frankenstein dress.

I am really glad Luke is back and he even cleaned himself up on his own. I am sure Dumber will have a few choice words for him, but frankly, I can understand why he left. Everybody involved trashed him and railed at him for hitting Jake. They had no clue or consideration for the guilt he was feeling. Tracy and his kids know Luke. Why were they so surprised that he left??? Anyway, I hope he and Tracy can get back together.

Let's see-Dumb and Dumber are the reason Lupe is dead. Lulu is guilty of arson. Mr. and Mrs. Innocent they are not.

Hi aussie, tipsy, rans, 4my, straight, storm, been, bean, blessed, enad, FUBU, willow, unicorn, lily, poodles, cynic, mamajj, canadagirl, cowboys, scrimmage-glad you are feeling better, and anyone I missed.
