JaSam has not even been married a full 2 days, I really don't know what is expected of them for them not be considered boring. It seems that these two are for once enjoying the normalcy that comes as a newly weds. They haven't even started their honeymoon, but appears to be enjoying the heck out of just being married. I want them to enjoy this moment of just the two of them, because soon enough real life will kick in and then we'll have comments saying they can't even get to enjoy their honeymoon.

I don’t think anyone loves these two more than I do. What’s boring me is how long it’s taking them to get somewhere, not that they are staring at each other and whispering sweet thoughts and all that…..I love that! But let’s move on with more substantial things, we’ve done enough reminiscing. Maybe I’m moving too fast, but I feel we’ve waited for ever to see them married, now let’s get to the honeymoon. I want to see them doing normal people stuff, then they can go back to stonecold the mob enforcer and Sam PI. I guess I’m impatient. That's another thing we girls suffer from Scrimmage.

@ Rans -- Congrats on the Bills. They deserve much love as do MY Lions and yes they're MY Lions. Got some big games this weekend. MY Tigers take on the Stankees in the ALDS, MY Spartans get Ohio State on Saturday and MY Lions play the cowgirls on Sunday. The beauty of it all... all are on national TV so I can watch it all on my SoCal couch. Guess I wont be getting out this weekend.

Obviously, we’re expected to ignore the discrepancies in the character’s relative ages and their actual ages, and accept what we’re told about them as a product of the writers and casting director’s dramatic license. That’s fine. We also accept the fact that these people are all remarkably attractive and youthful looking because that’s just the way it is on TV in general and soaps in particular. Sonny (or rather Maurice) has always been several years older in real life than the people he supposedly grew up with like Olivia and the original Kate, and, with the exception of Alexis, he’s always been older than all of his other women as well, but we can easily overlook the show fudging the ages a few years here and there, as Maurice could easily pass for someone in his early 40’s as opposed to his actual age of 48. Olivia and Original Kate were actually six or seven years Sonny’s junior, but it was easy to split the difference and accept the idea that they were all born within a year of each other. That was no big deal either. It’s only when we venture into a split of more than a decade that the age differences become glaringly obvious and it looks somewhat ridiculous in comparison to other equally youthful looking and attractive characters on the show.

    Actual Birthdates and ages:

    Kirsten Storms (Maxie) – 4/8/84 27

    Julie Marie Berman (Lulu) – 11/3/83 27

    Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) – 9/21/80 31

    Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) - 4/21/79 32

    Kelly Sullivan (new Kate) – 2/3/78 33

    Andrea Bogart (Abby) – 6/1/77 34

    Rebecca Herbst (Liz) – 5/12/77 34

    Kelly Monaco (Sam) – 5/23/76 35

    Laura Wright - (Carly) – 9/11/70 41

    Lisa LoCicero (Olivia) – 4/18/70 41

    Megan Ward (original Kate) – 9/24/69 42

    Vanessa Marcil - (Brenda) 10/15/68 43

    Maurice Benard (old Sonny) – 3/1/63 48

    Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis) – 4/28/58 53

    Tony Geary (Luke) – 5/29/47 64

Looking at the list what really stands out to me is that NuKate is actually YOUNGER than Sam and Liz, and only six months older then Sonny’s son’s older girlfriend Abby!! If that’s not stunning enough then consider that she’s only a year or two older than Spinelli and Dante, who is supposed to be Sonny and Olivia’s son from back when they were all teenagers together.

Let’s say Sonny and Olivia are 45 now and he knocked her up when they were both sixteen. That would make Dante about 29, which is close enough to be credible. The problem comes when you try to add Kate to the equation. In reality, she’s eight years behind Olivia, almost ten years younger than Megan Ward who created the role, and FIFTEEN YEARS younger than Maurice. That means the actress in the role of Kate now is playing a person at least twelve years older than her actual age at the very minimum. In my opinion, that’s stretching credulity way too far to simply ignore. I can’t accept the premise that NuKate and Sonny were in high school together any easier than I could if they tried to tell us that Spinelli and Abby were there too!

I don’t hold this against the actress who I think is doing a pretty good job, and I don’t really care if they pair her with Sonny or not, although I don’t think it’s as good of a match as Sonny and Olivia would be. I just wish that they would downplay the idea that they were high school sweethearts because it’s just too unbelievable for me to swallow.

CORRECTION: Oops! My math was off, but it just supports my point even more. The actress that plays Abby is actually eight months OLDER (not younger) than the actress playing NuKate.

    Take THAT, Michael!

I like the new Kate. Great actress, I was never a fan of Megan Ward, she came off truly cold to me; this one comes off trying to be cold but really warm. I think she is beautiful, but looks older than she is actually.

Jason and Sam.... no helmets? Do they not have to wear helmets on bikes there? Liked the Danny conversation, but its "too good to be true" when people are this happy, bound to be problems starting soon. Happy that the Jasam fans are so happy about it though. Kinda boring to me and I've found them this way for awhile now...I like them more exciting, and with jobs. Now that the wedding is over, I hope that picks back up..but I have noticed the amount of baby talk.

Ethan...what is he doing at Wyndemere? And why all the Laura talk? I agree its Helena.

Dante...excellent acting, same with Lulu. These actors can really pull it out when they need to. (Lord, I know she was role playing, but she really looked like Madeline Cann? no thats not it, the woman who played in Bride of Frankenstein with Marty Feldman and Gene Wilder)

    Get Luke into the storyline.

Dexdon - Yes, the actress you're thinking Lulu looks like is Madeline Kahn from Mel Brooks' "Young Frankenstein."

The recap for yesterday is finally up if anybody cares.
