So I spent the last two plus hours watching old clips of GH. Of course I went back and watched the clips of Liason. I just wanted to say that both Liz and Jason were drinking and I saw ZERO indication that anyone took advantage of anyone. I've heard people say that Liz took advantage of a drunk Jason and while Jason had been drinking, he was pouring Liz numerous shots and when Liz went to leave he grabbed her arm. I think they were two people hurting who turned to each other. Anyways, just my take. Ive also decided that I can get behind Liason, JaSam, LuSam, LnL2, but for some reason not LuSh. Idk just don't like them. I really want Liz and Lucky back together.

Unbelievable acting by all...especially JJ and AG. It's too bad it had to be demonstrated through this storyline though - I really dislike it.

I agree with all the posters who mentioned the absence of Laura is really an all time low in writing...

Actually, I don’t consider that a problem at all. Luke has provided me with a lot of real entertainment “all these years” and I’ve enjoyed every… well almost every bit of it. And I certainly don’t believe that “anyone placed on a so called pedestal is bound to fall off.” Not all heroes inevitably fail. In fiction, Ulysses never fell off the pedestal. Neither did Indiana Jones, Zorro, or Superman. In real life there are men like Chuck Yeager and Neil Armstrong, or Stephen Hawking who have been knocked down but never out and accomplished what before seemed to be impossible. These are by no means perfect men; every one of them has flaws just like Luke, but what makes them worthy of admiration is the way in which they overcome them. It’s exactly that heroic aspect of Luke’s past that make him a unique character in the genre, which is why I am disheartened to see his image tarnished in this way. Like I said, I need my heroes, especially the fictional ones, to be bigger than life.

As for the New York post, that wasn’t MY reference, that was from the writer on SoapZone, and I stand by her characterization of the current storyline as “cheap emotional larceny… to capitalize on terrorizing children for quick spikes in ratings.” At any rate, I was basing my conclusions on the overwhelming number of comments by posters that were offended by the death of a small child, which despite comments to the contrary, is a very rare occurrence in a genre whose primary target audience is stay-at-home mothers. Of course viewers get emotionally involved when an innocent child dies. That’s what the writers are so cynically counting on. It’s simply that I, and apparently many others, don’t consider that endangering children is appropriate subject matter for daytime television, especially with the frequency that Guza seems to do it.

I do not believe that Luke killed Jake. Why would they even mention the Balkan’s car being in the vicinity if it had nothing to do with the storyline? If GH continues down this path that Luke was the actual driver, they have ruined the dynamics of the show for life. I love the fun lovin Luke, and if he in fact did do this, he will be miserable and never get over it. Who wants to watch that, day after day?? I think the scenes are powerful scenes and Tony Geary and Steve Burton deserve awards for this, but as for the storyline, the end result needs to be the Balkan’s car did this.

Scrimmage...........Very well said my friend....especially how well you articulated how some of us DO need heroes and marvel how they manage to somehow overcome seemingly overwhelming odds.....well done !!

Well back to the "other" show

Scrimmage, I have no desire to argue with you about this so here's my final comment on the subject. There is a huge difference between being a hero and being placed on a pedestal. People who are placed on pedestals are not necessarily heroes, merely adored by the one who placed them there.

The story line is good but it just sad to see a promising character like Jake being killed off. I am curious though to see what will happen to Luke and how will everybody respond to it. Am sure i am sorry won't comfort Elizabeth.

TTOYOU......You are correct too, of course....There are a LOT of false idols out there.....Hopefully we can filter out and find the real ones......OK I mean it THIS time...I have a lot to say on the OTHER show.....

General Hospital IS a Disney show, not that you could tell by the subject matter.

i hate that they made luke the driver. it should've been the balkin. that would give jason another reason to go after him. also...i believe that the little boy who smiled at brenda was her son...just saying. i loved the michael and abby love making scenes. they are so cute together. Poor luke n Lucky...i had tears in my eyes watching them. it was heart breaking!
