I keep telling you, she’s NOT Sam – she’s Lois Lane and Jason is her Superman. They fill a very special place in each other’s lives; the damsel in distress and the knight in shining armor, two archetypes in literature. One cannot exist and fulfill their destiny without the other, although the nature of their mutual responsibilities threatens to keep them apart, or at least to never allow them a moment’s peace nor the possibility of a normal future together.

Not to sound like Molly, but it’s also the same story we’ve seen in several all-time classic romantic couples like Lancelot and Guinevere, Robin Hood and Marian, Marshall Dillon and Miss Kitty, and Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy.

    Scrimmage, LOOK AWAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!

Sam does decide to go after the Balkan. She is driving when she gets a headache. That's when she'll think she ran over Jake.

aussie..yeah I read she has a bad migraine & blacks out. that's why she confesses to the hit & run. but I also read it's not her. Word in spoilerville is it's Robin.

Hi everyone..great comments by all. Liz was out of line as this is Nik's time with his son so Liz should stay out of it and she should knock at the door. Some are putting her down as she has money and does not need to work. I think Jason paid for the house and put a trust up for Jake which she gambled and lost on so all she has left is her house. She still has other bills to pay and food to buy.

What’s missing from this picture? No, I don’t mean Minimax away at “camp” (computer? fat? band?) in the middle of the school year, Max, Milo, or even Grams.

What would you expect to see if say, Gisele Bundchen got kidnapped by the father of a dead ex-boyfriend on her wedding day to Tom Brady and was later found poisoned and near death, only to be saved by the valiant efforts of her best friend, who also happens to be a doctor? I’ll tell you what I would expect.

PAPPARAZZI GONE WILD!!! NON-STOP BRENDA BARRETT TV 24/7! Oprah on overload!

Where is the press? TMZ? The National Enquirer? Access Hollywood? Mad Magazine? Where are the breathless reporters who anxiously await Lindsey Lohan’s next hearing, and who rush to the air with breaking news every time Lady Gaga trips over her meat dress? Where are the publishers, agents, and TV and movie producers descending on Port Charles, approaching everybody trying to buy the rights to the story like they did during the Chilean Mine Disaster? Why doesn’t Dr. Steve have a bigger headache trying to keep photographers out of Brenda’s room than he has with Robin / Patrick / Lisa / Terrell? Why isn’t Mac standing in front of a bunch of cameras and microphones giving a press conference and explaining how this could happen on his watch in his city?

I thought Port Charles was in New York, not on Mars.

Scrimmage, OMG, you’re absolutely right. They were also missing at her wedding, there was no photographer taking pictures and her wedding planner was nowhere to be seen during or after the wedding. We’re also to assumed that the facility where the reception was held has their own catering service, where were the wait-staff? Of course we already know about the invisible food. It’s quite apparent that Brenda is only famous to the residents of PC. A few casualties of GH budget cuts.

I was surprised they could have afforded to hire that guy and his goon that Jason was holding the gun on.

4myJylli – I suppose the reason for ignoring an obvious side story could be that they might not be able to afford a bunch of new extras to play the paparazzi every day, but I see several extras dressed as cops, doctors, thugs, and customers at Kelly’s or the Metro Court that I’ve got to think they could afford to throw a couple of cameras in their hands and tell them to act like animals in a few scenes. I’ve got to think the real reason is simple neglect. Guza and his team, in their obvious haste to at least try to tie up all the dangling threads from the Balkan storyline never took the time to consider how the public would react to such a dramatic turn of events involving a high profile model such as Brenda. The characters don’t even mention it, like “It’s all over the news” or “My phone won’t stop ringing” or “I’ve got Katie Couric camping out on my front lawn.” Instead we have a script with old recycled dialogue.

    Lisa (to Robin): “You’re boring.”

    Robin (to Lisa): “You’re a psychotic b!tch!”

Yada, yada, yada…. We’ve seen and heard this all before. It didn’t go anywhere then, and there’s no reason to expect it will amount to anything now. There’s nothing new there at all.

HEY GUZA! Here’s a thought. Why don’t you try to WRITE SOMETHING NEW every once in awhile? Who knows? You might like it.

Im not sure if anyone will read this so I'll post again on today's page. Sorry for those that read it twice, I just feel like I have to defend Liz because she's being hated on by a lot of people.

    SPOILER TALK

I read the interview with JJ and SB, SB said that Jake opens the door and gets out. So I don't think Liz should be blamed. It's sad, but kids can get out of your sight quickly. Idk,I just feel that people seem to love Sam when she did some horrible things to Liz's kids, but she gets a pass because she was "upset" but everyone is ready to kill Liz. Well she just found out that who she thought was the daddy isn't, so I'm sure she's a little upset. People can forgive Sam when, imo, she did it intentionally but not Liz who I don't think left the door open.

Scrimmage and other spoiler free posters look away NOW

Monkey, I’ve seen some of those comments blaming Liz for something that have not played out on screen. We don’t know how that scene is going to play out, but I think for posters to be blaming Liz so prematurely is unfair. For me even if that’s the way it plays out on screen I won’t be casting any blame her way. Like you say kids can get out of our sight in a blink of an eye. For example, I just learned someone that went to the same high school as I did left her son with someone while she want to park her car. Apparently the child thought she was leaving him and ran after her and away from the person who was watching him and unbeknownst to his mother while she was backing up her car hit him killing him. Is she to blame, I won’t say she is, but I’m sure she’s blamed herself many times over and probably will for the rest of her life. As I see it, Liz will be doing the same blame game also for the rest of her life. So yes, kids do tend to move at the speed of lighting sometimes and get caught in awful accidents. I for one will wait and see how it all plays out.

    Hello to all posters:

Finally someone puts the blame for Theo/explosion/neurotoxin where it rightfully belongs which is on Brenda’s head. That was the only highlight of her recovery. As soon she began to talk I started to wish she was still unconscious. The fact that she didn’t blink when Sonny told her that Sam was substituted for her in the car explosion further caused me to wish her back in that cave with Theo.

I am curious, when Sonny told Brenda that he wanted to make up for all the time that they have lost, was he talking about the seven years they were apart or the 30 mins she went missing when Theo snatched her? If it was the latter, then that was a very cheesy and unnecessary declaration given the fact that she was missing only for a heartbeat and even less time during that toxin stint.

I was gonna barf when I saw Dante and Lulu back on the screen but when she walked up on Liz harping on Lucky I was ready to burst out in Handel’s Hallelujah chorus. Both Shaboom and Lucky tried reason with Liz regarding the immigration marriage arrangement but of course Liz didn’t listen. Then she talked about how Lucky marrying a “stranger” would contribute to an unstable life for the kids, what a laugh. When Lucky said that those kids never had a stable life to begin with I couldn’t agree more. It doesn’t get any more unstable than sleeping with the kids’ uncle and getting pregnant by him.

Poor Luke, all those fine gems gone and nothing to show, lol. It’s enough to make a grown man cry. I loved his scene with Natasha and Ethan. It is so like Luke to remind Natasha of her Casadine heritage; a “fate to be pitied and not scorned,” rotflol.

I was hoping that Jason would plug one into Johnny just for principle sake, but I can hold off for a rain check. I have to say his idea of leaving a clue in Carly’s place for Robin and at Steve’s for Lisa was pure genius. It showed that he is aware of his players and their weaknesses. I wasn’t expecting this at all, especially Robin having to plead with Carly.

Yeah, Michael is not cut out to be a mobster. First he needs lessons on the dress code and then lessons on how to evade defective detectives (courtesy of 4my). I mean, if you allow yourself to be captured by two of PCPD’s finest, and then you know you have to start reconsidering your line of work because it does not reflect well on you.
