Back in the nick of time. (Soaps.com)
GH Rundown for the week of December 7!

Last week gave us a couple of reveals, a return, a long awaited meeting, and the continuation of a story that needs to wrap up.

Welcome Back
Steve Webber returned last week in the form of Scott Reeves (ex-Ryan, The Young and the Restless) and my, has he aged well. Looks aside, it's already nice for Elizabeth to have family around she can confide in, not to mention, he seems like he might be able to take Patrick down a few pegs in the ego department. I love Patrick and all, but a formidable opponent at the hospital will be good for him.

Dark Eyeliner and Popping Gum
While I wasn't a huge fan of either of those things when she first came on, as it was too obvious, Rebecca should have stayed a schemer. She's been more interesting in the last couple of episodes, after learning about Nikolas and Elizabeth, than she has been in months. However, I don't understand her plan. Lucky is in love with Elizabeth, so how is keeping them together by not telling him about her affair with Nikolas going to land him in her bed? It's almost as convoluted as Nikolas' plan to get back at her for trying to con him. I wish she would just tell Lucky so we can stop watching Elizabeth beat herself up and Nikolas sulk. Although, that's really all the prince does, so I guess that won't change too much.

Lucky Learns the Truth
Well, the truth about Dante anyway, as sadly, he's still in the dark about his brother and fiancée. I'm glad Dante has another ally on the force and that they can work together on a couple of cases. They were also cute ribbing Lulu when she tried to cover for 'Dominic' with Lucky, but why does Dante trust Lulu so much with every detail of his cases? While she's not connected to Franco, Dante knows she is trying to protect Sonny, so why does he tell her every move he's going to make? Not to mention, isn't it against cop guidelines to divulge so much information?

Devastation. (Soaps.com)
Edward
It was nice that Elizabeth asked Edward how he was doing after the whole carnival thing. Has anyone even mentioned it since he was in the hospital? I really hated how almost everything about Andrea was dropped as soon as she died and there was virtually no follow up to what she did and to whom. What I'd really like to see though is more of Edward's relationship with Deidre, who he was having an affair with right before Andrea drugged him. If memory serves, she wasn't integral to him getting drugged, so what was the point of introducing her if they weren't going anywhere with their relationship?

Take That!
Jason going off on Michael was a beautiful thing. It was everything I wanted someone to say to him and more. Jason didn't hold back in letting Michael know he needed to man up and stop acting like a little you know what. I could not have loved it more, but even though Michael seemed to feel Jason's wrath, he still acted like a spoiled little brat, so we'll see if it does any good.

Getting Better

I enjoyed Franco more this week, as I thought it was funny he set out snacks and refreshments for Jason when he came over. His nervous host routine was pretty amusing and his sudden outbursts were indicative of his craziness, but I still feel like he's 'soap opera' acting. I also still really wish he'd be more involved with the rest of the cast. I think it would be far more entertaining if he broke out of his isolated bubble and interacted with more of the Port Charles population.

Spinelli

It's good that Spinelli has his own opinions on things and doesn't just blindly go along with whatever Jason says, but after the whole Claudia debacle, you'd think Spinelli would listen to Jason from now when he says someone is dangerous. I mean, if anyone should know that Franco is a threat, it's Stone Cold.

Speaking of Spinelli, I totally felt his devastation when he overheard Maxie admit she slept with Franco. I am glad the secret didn’t drag out forever, but my heart did break for him. I wonder how this will play out and if he'll forgive her. As much as I do like them together, I'm not sure he should.

That's all I got this time around. What did you think of the week's events? Feel free to agree or disagree with me or comment on something I didn't bring up.

The best part of last week was less of Olivia. It was the first time in ages that I actually enjoyed watching GH.

I think the best part of last week was the verbal smackdown Jason gave Michael. It was a joy to behold but unfortunately didn't do much good. The young man needs a sober dose of reality. I think Sonny and Jason need to tell him if your mouth gets you into trouble (the physical fight kind), don't expect us to retaliate.

Nice to see Steven Webber again. Let's just hope they do something with the character.

I will be glad to see Rebecca go. I don't think much of the Nic and Liz relationship. I think she and Matt would have made a cute couple. Can't we just have a good old fashion courtship on for a change?

As for Spinelli, he really needs to grow up and get a place of his own. As for Maxie, I think since Jessie, she just self destructs and ends up losing the guy.

Love seeing Dante and Lucky work together. If only Johnny could become part of the trio, they could be the GH dream team.

Hmm, if Franco was a part of more of the cast, then what would Sam do? Better yet, it could give Sam an actual STORY!

As for Franco, he just seems to be trying too hard and it's not coming across well. I think this story could have been better if we got more Franco and less talking about Franco. If they are going to build up a story that's suppose to be big, they should have done it with an actor who could commit more time to it. We know it's not for long, Franco will be gone and Jason will just get yet another plot point to sit and discuss on his couch. YAWN!

I wish Liz would come clean or someone would rat her out or something...ANYTHING to end this horrible story. At least if they gave a PURPOSE for it then it wouldn't be so bad (Liz feels obligated to Lucky for helping to better her but she really wants more than just the white picket fence but wants excitement too).

I hope Spin doesn't forgive Maxie because we know it will just have to happen AGAIN.

LOVED the Jason scene with Michael. I hope it happens more often because that boy is becoming more and more his father (meaning AJ) everyday and with his mom and adopted father (Sonny) in him as well, that kid is a HUGE PITA!!
