It's written all over his face. (Soaps.com)
GH Rundown for August 24 - 28!

First of all, congrats to Julie Berman (Lulu) and the writing team for winning Daytime Emmys! The show itself wasn’t great, but I'm glad GH was recognized and I really enjoyed seeing the Carnival promo in Primetime during the awards show. It really looks exciting and I can’t wait to see what happens! If you missed the broadcast, check out our Coverage Section for all the details.

On to last week’s GH!

I loved the scene with Sonny, Claudia, Morgan and Dominic talking baseball. Claudia is hard to like, but it was a nice family bonding moment and it’s too bad there aren’t more of those. And how cute is Morgan? Good Lord I love that kid.

How did Kiefer know it was Kristina calling him? She’s not using her phone so the number that popped up would have been one he didn’t recognize. Why would he automatically assume it was Kristina? Also, they found the PDA on the beach (I think) wouldn’t who ever lost it have cancelled the service by then?

Michael and Kristina are on their way back home, which is a good thing. They were too isolated from everyone else and not much really happened to make their trip to Mexico interesting. It seems it was just a vehicle for Sam and Jason to get back together. I’m not invested in either coupling, JaSam or Liason, but I do think Jason and Sam have chemistry and work well together. She’s tough enough to fit in his lifestyle, but not so tough, she’s unlikable like Claudia. Speaking of, Kristina better watch her back when she gets home now that her stepmom knows she was the one responsible for running her off the road.

Back to Jason and Sam, their scenes were pretty cute. Not the sex part, but afterwards when they were so awkward with each other. I loved it, especially when Jason was basically like, ‘Uh, yeah, no. I don’t want to talk about what we just did.’ As much as I enjoyed their interactions, I wonder how Jason was able to rebound so quickly after hobbling around the room in order to have hot crazy sex with Sam.

I hated the couple who Michael stole from at the resort because no one acts that way. They could have written them as rude jerks without going over the top and creating caricatures of obnoxious self-important tourists. You don’t have to hit us over the head with it.

What gunshot wound? (Soaps.com)
How does Rebecca not realize Nikolas’ words are dripping with bitterness, rage and hatred? Is she so desperate for him to love her that she can’t tell she’s having sex with a man who loathes her? While I’m on the subject, I love that Nikolas is taking charge and throwing his weight around for Alexis. I don’t want him to become super evil, but a little darker and more nefarious will be great fun!

Mac is just one in a long line of people who are mean to Spinelli and I cringe over it, but I do appreciate that he is playing the overprotective dad to Maxie. Spinelli does work for Jason who is a mobster and Mac is the police commissioner, so it makes sense he doesn't want Maxie to marry him. He’s always been there for his girls, and this is just further proof of it.

That Kiefer is one smarmy kid, but he’s supposed to be, so kudos to the actor for his portrayal. I’m not sure I want to watch when Kristina comes home and they supposedly get more involved in an abusive relationship, but hopefully it won’t go too far and they can redeem him so he can stick around. Or maybe he can just stick around and be the bad guy to the younger set.

Sonny was great in his scene with Kiefer because he was calm and in control. His threats are so much more effective that way instead of when he’s screaming and stammering. Kiefer really should be more afraid of him than he is.

Patrick is one of my favorite characters, so I can’t wait for this whole murder mystery storyline to wrap up. It just seems like such an afterthought and I’d like to see my Dr. Drake doing something with a little more meat. Same for Martha Byrne who plays Andrea Floyd. They brought her on for this ‘huge’ story, but she’s been so underused. So much more could have been done with her. Too bad.

Wow! Johnny really let Claudia have it. He’s been saying all those things for awhile now, but he’s really the only one who tells her like it is regarding her actions with Michael, Jerry and Sonny. I hope he sticks to his guns and cuts her out of his life for good. He’s really grown on me in the last couple of months and I like his new found independence of sorts.

Uh, what happened with Dominic and Lulu's kiss? I hate when they leave things hanging like that!

That’s all I got for this week. What did you think? Feel free to share your thoughts regarding last week’s GH below!

Does anyone know who is going to die in the "Carnival Tragedy" on GH?

Claudia needs to be admitted to a mental hospital she is over the top, I never really liked her but not her stunts are spoiling the whole show to some degree. I'll be glad when she is gone, as for sure, someone is going to knock her off, or at least I hope so.

I think Andrea is going to bit the dusk at the carnival. ONe of her plans to get rid of the people who are standing in her way, will probably backfire and she will pay the price with her life. While I am talking about Andrea, let me say I think it was a waste of money and air time to bring on a big name actress (though I'd never seen Martha on a show) for a S/L such as this. There are too many underused GH characters that could have had a story. HELLO.....Where's Matt?

Keifer, I hope he disappears in the confusion at the carnival. Run, don't walk, to the nearest exit!

Thanks for the rant Lori, read you next week.

I am not a Jasam fan but I did enjoy that bit with the radio program. I thought that was funny.

The whole trip to Mexico was not very interesting to me. The only saving grace for me was Jerry returning and Jason having to face his own mortality.

I thought Jason pulling a gun on the guy was a bit too much considering the circumstances. At least Jason did look a bit embarassed when he found out that Michael stole the watch.

Can't wait for the whole Brianna thing to be over. I love a good mystery and I am so disappointed by this storyline. Maybe if they did it in a format like Columbo and made Robin and Patrick more like McMillan and wife with of course help from brother Matt.

Spinelli just needs to grow up. As he was discussing living with Jason after they were married, I thought are you kidding. I don't blame Maxie for having reservations about marriage.

I thought the scene with Johnny and Claudia mirrored the discussions we have been having regarding Michael's shooting. I am so tired of it, I really don't care what happens anymore.

I could care less about Rebecca and Nicholas. This storyline is another dud to me.

I think it may be either Edward or jason's son.
