Kelly Monaco (ABC)
Good news Sam fans! Soaps In Depth has reported that Kelly Monaco contacted them to say she re-signed her contract for another year.

Daytime Emmy Awards Executive Producer, Jim Romanovich, joined the conversation by tweeting: “Kelly Monaco is not going anywhere. I have heard from a source inside GH that she has re-signed.”

After rumors spread that Kelly Monaco may be leaving GH on Friday, her co-stars took to the Twitterverse to comment.
Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis):
“4 the love of God, she is not going anywhere. Don't believe everything u read.... suckers..and I say that with so much love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
(She followed that up with her next tweet.)
“Go see Julia and Julia and watch art. Stop all this nonsense bout Kelly. No one loves her more than me but really guys.....”
Steve Burton (Jason):
“Kelly Monaco is not leaving.”
Greg Vaughan (Lucky):
“As far as Kellys status? I'm not aware of anything!! She looks beautiful as always & had a lit [sic] of good laughs this week!!”
(Several minutes and a few tweets later he returned to the subject.)
“Lusam?? Loved working with KMO, and always welcoming the reunion! But if Any actor has the opportunity to expand the careers outside of GH?”

Soap Opera Digest is reporting that General Hospital has sent out a casting call for the character of Sam McCall, currently being played by Kelly Monaco.
Apparently the role is described as, “early 30s, female, Caucasian, brunette, sexy, dynamic and fiery…SERIES REGULAR. This is a character who has been established on the show.”
That description certainly fits Sam, but is Kelly really leaving the show? Nothing has been confirmed as of yet, but Soaps.com will keep you up to date on this matter.
