Carrie G: The wardrobe person said that once a piece airs (if it is not a basic piece) they sell it at a consignment store. But I am wondering how come the character of Tracy wears the same outfits over and over again. The teal jacket she was wearing on 5/6 episode she has been wearing for the past 4 years or more. Are there certain jackets/blouses they use over and over again. Or are the actors that aren't on screen that often ones who recycle wardrobe?
A: Most of Tracy's wardrobe is custom built, very high-end designer (like Armani and Lagerfeld), or are very classic so we do re-use many of her pieces. Her costumes tend to be expensive and most of them are timeless. I should re-phrase that and say that it is the super trendy pieces we get rid of and pieces that someone may have worn in a car accident or fight and should have been destroyed.
Wren M: On May 6, Tracy had on a teal blue jacket with upturned collar. I'd love to know the maker and where it was purchased.
A: Tracy's jacket was a silk jacket by Ellen Tracy.
Jessica O: I am trying to find out where I can get a dress that Lulu wore earlier this year. It is black, but the neck, hemline, arms, & pockets are all outlined in either blue/teal/turquoise. The neckline has multi-colored square (mirrored) sequins. It has two pockets on the front, and a half-belt on the back. It is also sleeveless. It is so cute.
A: Lulu's dress was by Nanette Lepore.
Teresa D: I absolutely loved the dress Lulu was wearing on the May 6th episode. Is it possible for someone to let me know where I can find it?
A: Lulu's dress was another one by Nanette Lepore.
