It had been rumored for some time that Michelle Stafford (ex-Phyllis Summers Newman, "The Young And The Restless") was on her way to Port Charles to play Nina, the thought-to-be-dead wife of Dr. Silas Clay. Soaps.com had learned from an unnamed source that a "General Hospital" actress had spilled the beans during a fan event months ago. Stafford heard the rumors and turned to Twitter to give a response: "I want u all to remember as u drift off to sleep...people who start rumors have super little pee pees..." The actress was obviously sworn to secrecy.
Fans got an eyeful when watching "General Hospital" on May 1 when from her hospital bed, Nina, who we recently learned was still alive, called out her husband Silas' name. Check out the teaser Soaps.com posted on Twitter with an image of Stafford as Nina from today's episode.
Soaps.com will update our readers when we learn more about how long Stafford will remain on the soap and we welcome the actress back to soaps!
