General Hospital Celebrates 13,000 Episodes.

"Guiding Light" was once known as the longest running soap opera in existence. After that, "As The World Turns," and then in 1963 came "General Hospital." Since the cancellation of the other two beloved soap operas, "General Hospital" is now known as the longest running American soap opera in production. The show celebrates 50 years April 1.

Monday February 24, 2014 marks "General Hospital's" 13,000 episode. During that episode we'll be viewing new twists and unexpected turns in a few of the current storylines so make sure you tune in.
