    Leaving town.

    According to Soap Opera Digest, Jason Cook (Matt) will be exiting the ABC soap in June. This won't come as much of a surprise to anyone who has been watching where his character's story has been headed recently. The actor joined the show in 2008. Since that time he has appeared in two films, "Son Of An Afghan Farmer" and "Turbulent Skies," as well as completing a third, "Young Again."

    His official final air date has not yet been released. No word yet on whether or not the character may be recast.

    Thats really too bad. They should let Starr go and keep him on. Cannot imagine why they haven't utilized his character more.

    So sad! Jason Cook leaving is a HUGE loss for GH. He was so good with the previous Maxie. Such a chemistry they had. How can GH go on without the Hunter brothers together. I thought GH was going to explore the depths of Matt and turn him into a main character. Very sad, will be hard to watch him go. Kirsten, now this!!

    Honestly I won't miss the "Matt" character. I really thought he was really boring with absolutly no chemistry with Maxie. Put her back with Spinelli!

    They have more than enough doctors at GH already, and Matt needs to spend some time at Pentonville for taking a life........a unforbidable crime for any doctor.

    Lisa is not dead, therefore no crime! She has Robin! Matt should be back with Kirsten Storms. General Hospital writers PLEASE listen. Keep Jason.

    Hate that he is leaving one of the main reasons I started watching GH was when he joined. I do not like Maxie with Spinelli so I really hope they do not put them back together!!!! Maybe Jason can go back to Days now where he was appreciated.

    I'm sad to see Matt go and thought Alexis did not do enough to get a lighter sentence. He was very drunk at the time. Anyways 5 years is not 5 years and hope he will be back in 2 years. He was not right with Maxie anyways. Maybe by the time he comes back the writers will give him a better storyline.
