One Life To Live Stars To General Hospital. (Updated.)

    Updated January 27:

Although, as reported below, Kassie DePaiva made it seem like her stint on "General Hospital" might not last that long, her onscreen daughter is another story. Kristen Alderson tweeted, "Just signed my 'General Hospital' contract! 3 years! Here we go...You guys ready!?"

    Updated January 26:

Disappointing Jolie fans everywhere, Soaps in Depth reports that "General Hospital" has no plans to bring Melissa Archer's Natalie to Port Charles in order to reunite her with John at this time.

    Updated January 24:

Kassie DePaiva (Blair) tweeted, "T&B [Todd and Blair] arrive in Port Charles the week of February 27." Meanwhile, Soaps in Depth reports that Starr will first appear on "General Hospital" the week of February 20 and John McBain will follow in March.

    Updated January 17:

After praising the final week of "One Life to Live" episodes on her blog, Kassie DePaiva (Blair) addressed her upcoming stint on "General Hospital," saying, "I must say, the ads and the press release by ABC is a little misleading. Frank Valentini, 'GH's' EP, asked me to come out for a couple of shows in February and I'm thrilled. Not only will I get to work with a fantastic cast...but a little piece of 'OLTL' lives on. That makes me very happy. And who knows where it will lead. Once the Mannings come to town anything is possible. I wish everyone at 'GH' the best. No one loves Daytime more than Frank Valentini and Ron Carlivati [head writer] and no one works harder than those two men. 'GH' is in good hands and hopefully ABC will let 'GH' live on! See ya'll soon in Port Charles!"

Meanwhile, Kristen Alderson (Starr) recently tweeted that she will begin taping at "General Hospital" on January 27.

Not only will they be on "General Hospital," but they will be playing their "One Life to Life" characters for a new storyline to begin production in late January.

Of the move, former "One Life to Live" and current "General Hospital" executive producer Frank Valentini said, "We have a very exciting story planned for the citizens of Port Charles, with Sonny Corinthos [Maurice Benard] at the center of it! I am confident viewers and fans alike will be excited for the arrival of John (Easton), Starr (Alderson), Blair (DePaiva) and Todd (Howarth). Incorporating characters from 'One Life to Live' continue the legacy of the show as we weave them into 'General Hospital.'"

This is great news. This is the happiest I've been in along time. I really hope more are to follow. It's like two soaps in one. I don't no why I never thought of this before. Wouldn't blair and sonny make a great couple? I can see them together. Wow, general hospital may just have gotten me back.

I am super excited that they are going to bring characters from One Life to General Hospital. I just don't get why Sonny Corinthos has to be at the center of the storyline. Maybe Todd Manning will come in and be a rival to Sonny. meena76, I totally agree with you, Blair and Sonny would be good and Blair could totally stand up to Carly and knock her down a few pegs. John will be a great asset to the PCPD and Starr? I could see her with Johnny or Michael. Can't wait till the end of January to see them come to Port Charles. Yeah....

I love this so much, but I would love it more if Natalie and Liam was going with John, but who knows maybe later on down the line they will bring his family.

I'm so excited about this. OLTL is my favorite Soap and GH has been getting so lame that it depresses me. I want more characters from OLTL to cross over too~! Great decision.

I love so much that they are bringing Roger, Kassie, Michael and Kristen to GH, especially Michael, I have followed his career since he has been on Days of Our Lives, and there was so much chemistry when he was Caleb and Sam was Livvie, but now there is John and Nat and Liam and I can't stand the idea that they are not bringing over his family right after he just got back together with them on OLTL,that part just is not right, they have to find a way to get them over there soon!!!

I hope they bring Natalie on from OLTL also. She is a great character also. It will be great too see then on GH . Right now GH not as exciting as use too be. So many stars leaving the show. Just my spill on it.

Thank God someone with a brain out there has put this together, I think they should have done this for years pulling the two together here and there from time to time this sounds great.Hope Nat comes over to the other side to be with John

Terrific news! John, Roger, Kristen, Kassie may succeed in making GH watchable again after so many years of horrible writing and over-the-top production costs. Congrats to Frank V. and Ron C. despite the cruel cancellation of OLTL making it possible for us to follow characters we love!
