GH sends Lindze Letherman off in style.

Wednesday, December 19 2007

At one time Georgie and Dillon were front-burner! (ABC)
While it's sad to see Georgie's friends and family grieving for her in Port Charles, you should know that her portrayer, Lindze Letherman, enjoyed a wonderful send-off as she left her five-year stint at General Hospital. The surprise lunch (thrown by Kirsten Storms, who plays her sister Maxie) took place on November 16 -- the same day that Georgie was strangled to death!

Her on-screen family and off-screen closest friends including John J. York (Mac), Julie Marie Berman (Lulu), Greg Vaughan (Lucky), Kelly Monaco (Sam), Brandon Barash (Johnny), Jason Gerhardt (Coop) and Kirsten (Maxie) ate pizza and cupcakes (furnished by Julie Marie's brother's bakery, Vanilla Bake Shop in Santa Monica). They cried, they laughed and someone even presented Lindze with forensic photos of Georgie's crime scene as a going away gift.

Georgie (and Lindze!) have grown up before our eyes. (ABC)
Many of Lindze's co-workers have commented on how wonderful it has been watching her grow up on the soap. The general consensus is that she is very talented and they all look forward to watching her career take off from here. Soaps.com echoes their sentiments exactly. We will certainly keep you up on her exciting future.

What a shame that this talented actress had to be written off just to bring Kristina Wagner back for five episodes. Georgie and Dillon were the best young couple on soaps since AMC's Greg and Jennie or LOVING's Trishia and Steve, and the best couple on GH since Angie and Eddie in the 60s. I remember when ABC daytime's motto was "Love in the Afternoon", not Violence and regular Murder. There is nightime TV for that.

would have really liked to see a story-line with her and Spinelli. Hated that she had to be killed off. Wish her lots of luck in her future endeavors. she is very talented.

I had to write to express my anger about Georgie being killed off on General Hospital. How could Bob Guza feel that this is a good storyline? The greatest gift to fans of Georgie would be for Dillon to come from California and they ride off into the sunset together. Georgie didn't need to die and Lindze sure doesn't deserve that kind of goodbye for her hard work all of these years, as we watched her grow as an actress and the character mature. I've never been angry at a soap, frustrated, but not angry, until now. If Lindze had wanted to leave, I probably wouldn't be so upset, but she made it clear that she wanted to stay. GH is killing too many members of the core families of the show. What will we be left with? Too many newbies who we don't care about. With that said, I have been brought to sobbing watching the last two days of General Hospital. I have never cried so much or so hard at a soap opera. Seeing Mac, Robin, and Maxie in the hospital room at the end of yesterday's episode crying felt so real to me. I am trying to prepare myself for Georgie's funeral. I will miss Lindze/Georgie so much but I wish Lindze more than all the best in her career.

The Georgie and Dillion storyline was the reason I started watching GH. Since they started slowly cutting her out of the storyline and replacing the original characters with new ones, I have began to watch less and less of it. She was truly my favourite character and the last episodes detailing her death and showing her loved ones grieving actually brought me to tears. But I wish her the best of luck since I know she is a talented actor.

I am so sad to see Lindze go!! Georgie definitely didn't have to die and it's a shame that TPTB felt that this was the only way for her character. Frankly, I would have loved to see her with Spin...or maybe even make that trip abroad that she'd been planning. She was the only truly intelligent & grounded person in the Scorpio/Jones clan. This is just horrible and I sincerely feel the loss. I will miss Lindze/Georgie dearly....but I wish her all the best in her career.

She will be missed for long time. All the best to her future
It was five years, eh! Loved the clips of her many talented moments on today's eppy. The TMK killer needs to be gotcha'd
a.s.a.p. She really looked out for her sister and fans must love seeing Dillon for the holidays. I know he made today's scenes have substance. Sadness at this time of year ugh ): so please tell Mr. Guza to stop dropping so many characters, please.
