OK, I am a long time reader and a first time poster. I have been watching this show since the 60's when my babysitter got me hooked.

I just want to know if anyone thinks that Kiki will turn out to be Nina's daughter not Ava's.

pemi and phbatl it is not surprising that you could not make out what Luke was saying as they have begun playing that irritating back ground 'music' which drowns out the speakers and makes it impossible for those of us with impaired hearing to make out what the actors are saying. It would not be so bad if it was real music, but it is a monotonous dindindin and totally unnecessary. I have to rely on close captions, but they do not translate every word and often miss out sentences.

That is also a possibility but I just dont see this guy conversing with the Lord.

As I started dinner, I realized that I probably shouldn't have used the words Ava and decent in the same sentence. What I should have said is that she does occasionally have real, decent ( I did it again) emotions---her love for Kiki and Morgan are real, and she showed caring when interviewing Jordan and identified with her (briefly) about her child. Luke, at least the current Luke, who is the only one I have ever known ( I started watching when he was discovered in the mental hospital) is pure evil. It will be interesting to see if he continues to communicate with a higher power if that indeed is what he was doing.
    Happy weekend all.

why is it when you want to watch tg as Luke he is only on for a few epis but now that he is who knows who he is on all the time?? I am ready for his vacation!

I dont think Ned will be on for long as I think he is still on DOOL. I had gh on in my office when Ned 1st came back and my daughter who is a DOOL die hard fan about got whip lash turning around to the tv "what is he doing on there?" but then the way these actors and actress are moving from soap to soap any more who knows.

I started watching y&r again a couple of months ago and did not see MP very long before her coma, but I do remember her red hair and Jacks nickname for her "Red". so I did not recognize her yesterday when she awoke from the coma with blond hair. I think she will be a good actress though I felt she might be a little old to play Nina.

    Jrooky ~ Welcome...enjoy...and post often.

I think quite a few posters either think KiKi will turn out to be Nina's daughter, or they certainly won't be surprised if the SL goes this way. Count me as not being surprised...with all the baby shenanigans, and whose your daddy, whose your mama reveals lately...absolutely NOTHING surprises me.

The other thing that would not surprise me is if Madeline/Magda actually simply imprisoned Nina to keep her away from Silas, and to punish her as well, and there was no COMA. Posters have been mentioning how Nina looks like she just woke from a nap...not a coma. Imprisoned like Liesl imprisoned Robin. And when the baby was born (assuming it was KiKi), and because she hates Silas, I can see Madeline giving the baby to someone just as evil as herself....Ava. We know Ava kept KiKi a secret from if we are correct in our speculation.....this would be two women (Madeline and Ava) who felt scorned and angry with Silas, who wanted to hurt him. And you know what they say about Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

arent Helena and most of the Cassidines fugitives from the law, how will Anna feel when she finds out Robin has brought them back to life, is it a fair exchange for Jason and will she forgive Robin and Patrick for not telling her the truth. I agree that Sam should be very upset with Patrick also if she finds out what Robin is doing with Jason.

I was glad that Maxie and Lulu made up yesterday. Hopefully they will not be dumb enough to ask her to be a suragate again. LOL

So Madalines whole purpose in life is to keep her daughter away from Silas so she can get her money. As I said many weeks ago, I dont think Madaline shops the Kmart blue light specials, she has very expensive tastes, and protrays a rich Biotch very well.

There is a literary term that explains much of what we saw today.

Deus Ex Machina: (literally “god from a machine”)

It's a centuries old phrase that originally referenced the theatrical device in ancient Greek and Roman drama of having a god “appear from above” (by means of a crane) to decide the final outcome of the play, and the fate of the characters. In modern times it has come to mean a character or thing in fiction or drama, as in a novel, play, movie, etc., that suddenly and unexpectedly enters the story and provides a contrived solution to a problem that had previously appeared insoluble.

It's a cheap trick that writers use when they can't figure out any other way to resolve a situation that they have created for their characters. On GH, it used to be Spinelli's Magic Computer that would turn up crucial information just when everything seemed hopeless, usually ignoring the fact that the solution had probably been there all along. Now without Spinelli, instead of the Magic Computer, the key to all knowledge has become it's AJ's missing cell phone, which had never been mentioned before Carrllos' confession, and was never said to be missing. It would've been much better writing if prior to today, Frodd had mentioned knowing ALL the Quartermaines' passwords, or if Michael or someone else had noted that AJ's phone was not among his personal effects. That's called foreshadowing, but it's conspicuous by it's absence here. I take that as an indication that the writers didn't have this solution in mind from the beginning, but instead are essentially making things up as they go along. No wonder there weren't any Emmy nominations for this staff.

Frodd's possession of the passwords, and AJ's previously unhinted at recording, most likely of his entire confrontation with Ava and his murder at Sonny's hands, is an incredibly “convenient” way for the truth to be revealed, but it requires a huge suspension of logic. First of all, even without Carrllos mentioning it in his confession, AJ's phone would've been material evidence in a murder investigation, and the PCPD would've known it was missing, and found it long ago, probably before AJ even died. Carly and Frodd are now knowingly tampering with evidence, and any competent defense lawyer would have a pretty good chance of getting a judge to rule that anything found on that phone inadmissible. It will at least be challenged.

Secondly, if AJ had the foresight to essentially “wear a wire” and hit the record function on his phone before he confronted Ava, why wouldn't he have told Michael, Diane, Anna, or even Sonny about his plan ahead of time? I'll be glad if they revise history so that AJ doesn't look like a total idiot for going after Ava alone, but making it where he's only half-stupid isn't much consolation. Still, it will be great if AJ essentially solves his own murder, and brings Sonny down.

Now the question facing Carly is how to expose Ava without implicating Sonny. Are they going to withhold the evidence altogether, or are they just going to tamper with it by erasing Sonny's entrance, and letting Anna think it was Carrllos who barged in and pulled the trigger? A guy with technical multi-media expertise like Frodd could do that easily, but WILL he? If Ava goes down for Connie's murder, it's likely she'll sell out Sonny anyway, in exchange for a lighter sentence, especially since there's still no physical evidence connecting Ava to the crime, besides the bloody “AJ.” Add to that the fact that DA Snotty Baldwin already accused another AJ of Connie's murder, and there's a very good chance Ava could get off because of reasonable doubt or a hung jury. Rather than take a chance on another failed prosecution for the same crime, I'm sure Snotty would allow her to plea guilty to a lesser charge, like manslaughter, if she testified that she watched Sonny shoot AJ in cold blood.

Who wants to place bets on which Jerome die's first?
My money is on Julian biting the bullet first.

Cynic I agree on background music. I have good hearing and hubs is almost deaf without his hearing aides but any more I have stopped watching a lot of shows because the background music is so loud and annoying. It is hard to hear even with good hearing. I do have cc on at work as I have to answer the phone a lot, but I did miss the last half of todays show.
