HI everyone. I think a lot of viewers don't watch the show properly from what I read on the board as it had already been established that Helena died but shd bad been put into stasis or that deep freeze like Carlos so Luke wasn't hallucinating at all. The way he said You at be end tells me it might be someone he is not crazy about seeing.

Poor Spixie. I felt sk bad for them. I know Maxie is flakey on a good day bug she was trying to do the right thing in hef own way. Hole Brad spills the beans on Monday.

Ever notice that Nick takes in all strays and lives their life and never lives his own life? Boy I wish I had a great friend like that. I wish they could redeem Brit somehow. Soaps don't always have to be about bi**hs and mobsters and backstabbing all the time. It can have some good in it once in awhile without someone coming along and wrecking it all the time. Nite all

    Hi everyone
I am Catholic and usually the Baptism takes place within in month of the babies birth. I also thought it was odd that more were not there on this special event. Michael and Carly should have been. Also Nik could have brought his son, Spencer. Writers most likely not thinking straight.
Sure hope Brad doesn't say anything. Maxie signed the contract and her rights to this baby. Connie belongs with Dante and Lulu.
Gee I'm beginning to like Britt. I did want Liz and Nik back together, but now I want Nik with Britt.
    Was great seeing Luke back.
Fun scenes with Olivia and Tracy.

No she doesn't. That contract only applied to Dante and Nulu's child, the implanted embryo, not Maxie's natural child, and it was null and void as soon as Maxie miscarried. A surrogate contract is very different than a contract to adopt someone else's baby.

Actually, I believe the State of New York prohibits surrogacy contracts, and considers them unenforceable, and not legally binding, but it's no use to quibble over reality at this point.

Scrimmage is quite right about the surrogacy contract only applying to the implanted fetus. He is also right that the State of New York does not recognize such contracts. What the parents have to do is legally adopt the baby which the surrogate has been carrying; therefore, baby Connie is Spin and Maxie's by right and by law.

I was surprised that neither of Dante's brothers was asked to be godfather, nor were Lulu's brothers, and that none of them were at the baptism. I was also surprised that Liz didn't manage to get herself invited. She usually manages even with the slimmest of connections.

I am wondering if the actors have contracts which limit them to so many hours a month and a certain amount of screen time: therefore, they don't all appear at once except for the occasional sweeps massacre. This could explain why Dante and Lulu were not at Connie's funeral, and none of the uncles or Carly were at the christening. The writers must have an erasable wall chart showing who will be able to appear when, with whom, and in what scene. They could save a lot of trouble if they cut out some of the story lines, but perhaps they are cutting the actors to less than 28 hours a week to get out of paying medical insurance?

I miss Father Coates, but we now have Father Rivera. Is he going to be the brother of Carlos by any chance? Because of the beard, I know it wasn't the same actor, but I think they have gone this way before and it is a staple of gangster movies. One brother the priest, the other a gangster.

Y'all think Morgan and Ava icky, what will you do when someone falls for a priest, every Catholic mothers worst nightmare.

Poodles said Any day without Kiki is a GOOD day. I heartily agree. You could substitute her with a ventriloquist's dummy and no one would notice the difference. Pull a string: mouth opens and shuts; pull another string: eyes roll and move side to side; another string: arms wave.

To be fair to Kristen, the problem might simply be that she is being asked to play beyond her capabilities as an actress and being paired with actors who can rise up to more demanding scenes shows her limitations. We are not in the silent film era where head clutching, hand wringing and eye rolling denoted emotion. Perhaps the writers should just dial it down for her - maybe put her in a coma for a year while she takes acting classes.

I see they've got a new baby Ben. He has aged three months already! Hasn't anyone noticed that he doesn't look the slightest bit Chinese?

Maxie's prayer scene would have played much better if she had been silent and we had heard her prayer as a voice over.

Scrimmage...I was tuning in and out at the time, but the previous regime went the same way when they brought on Carly's father. John Durant was all about bringing Sonny down, which wasn't surprising because of the three dominant characters on the show. This time around the reintroduction of the Jerome crime family affects many characters on canvas which makes it interesting. How it will end and who will win or lose, is all up for speculation.

I had to look up Clay Matthews, my first thought was how is this Amazon going to pair up with the many petite, slim actresses on the show? LOL

And speaking of baby Ben,how did Nik know evil grandma was lurking? He said something like this to Brit ...if Ben were my son I wouldn't be out of the range of the monitor...
All I could do was scream at the tv...but please, Prince Charming, remember SPENCER is your son! And he is so seldom anywhere close to you! It's great to love kids, but start with your own!

Can't remember which baby, but 1 of them has matured rapidly and can already hold his/her head up! Was it Connie? Not sure!

Scrimmage - You're so right about the botched Julian SL. He doesn't even know he has a son who lives in Seattle.
Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend.

bayou - I've been flipping back and forth to the LSU game.
You'll love Charleston. If you can fit it into your schedule please visit Middleton Place. I think North and South was based on the family who lived there and the history dates back to the Revolutionary War.
