Exactly! And the sooner we can quit associating him with the character that was once played by James Franco, the sooner we can all accept Frodd as the new character (Jason's twin), that he's intended to be. When Frodd says he's changed, and that he is no longer the same man that did all those unforgivable things, as far as the audience is concerned, he means it literally. After all, it WASN'T him. It was (James) Franco, and THIS guy is Robert Quartermaine, a completely new character. Think of it like this...

The “reality” that was once familiar to us all as General Hospital, was rolling along just fine until it made contact with an Alternate Universe from some place called Llandview, where Bizzaro versions of familiar characters from Port Charles existed, like Blair, an extra tall version of Carly, and where Michael was a girl named Starr. When these two worlds collided in the Soap Opera version of the Big Bang, it caused a tear in the fabric of Time and Space, and the repercussions sent waves of change rippling outward like tossing a pebble in a still pond, even reaching back through history, itself.

When equilibrium was finally restored, many things had changed. Characters we thought we knew not only no longer existed, but they were completely erased from the time/space continuum, meaning that no one remembered them at all. In their place were new people, who had never existed before, some others who had aged rapidly (but not matured), and one person who was a new version of an old and reviled character who had never really stuck around much before. Where in the original, pre-Bang universe, Franco was evil personified, this new version is soft and cuddly, and just a misunderstood, but brilliant artist, who only wants to make clever quips, and to connect with the family he never knew he had (although he seems to have a low opinion of every one of them).

These are the consequences when Man (or in this case, RC), in his foolishness, tampers with the fundamental Forces of the Nature, and tries to bend them to his will. To his sorrow, he soon learns that he is NOT the Master of the Universe, and that it will NOT be controlled, and then chaos reigns...

    ... in the Twilight Zone.

Even though I like the idea of Jake coming back, I do not think it would happen. I think we will see Sam's father soon though as this has been brought up many times and this will keep giving Sam story lines without Jason.

Casey I seen on the news what a mess mother nature made around your area. Hope help comes soon.
cbru...glad to hear all went well on Monday. one more to go. ♥

lily hunter I thought Taylor was the Britchette Instead of Brad because all Brad is a freaking gay sick Britch flying monkey with wing Who would do anything for his queen, The wicked Britch of the Westbournes.

Scrimmage your summation(page 14) of what we are now viewing on GH was right on the money, and paralleling it with the memorable "Twilight Zone" was ingenious. FrancQ, upon his return, explained to the Haunted Star group and to us mere mortals that the havoc we thought Franco had wreaked didn't actually happen. They and WE were duped for countless episodes when JF played the character. Now with the return of the OLTL3, we and the Port Chuckers are to believe that the characters that they initially played never existed, nor do they bear any resemblance to them. So, we should adhere to the Benjamin Franklin saying~~"Believe none of what you hear, and only half of what you see." Then, perhaps we will be able to tolerate the forty-three minutes of the RC/FV Fluff.

    Good read.

I don't know what the writers are thinking. They are giving Gays a bad name. But I guess there are perverts too in the Gay community as well as heterosexual community. If I was Micael I rather my brother know I kissed his girlfriend than to have sex with Brad. Puke Puke Puke !!!

The beating of "Franco" by Shawn per Sonny: Abhorrent and just for the purpose of garnering sympathy for another abhorrent character--very distasteful, over-the-top, gratuitous, jarring, and sickening. What more can I say? Just shame on you, TPTB. Not what I tune in to see.

Posted by nancy marie at Wednesday, July 10 2013 05:46 AM

And the other distasteful gay character--Brad??? Why are the writers insisting on making him one of the most hateful, distasteful people in the universe? What is their purpose? Haven't gays in this country suffered enough abuse already? And all of that stereotypical talk about incest? Are the writers/TPTB out to alienate every single segment of society? Don't they WANT viewers to watch? What are they thinking? And where are the media "watchdogs" (hate that term, also)in all this morally reprehensible nonsense? (Throwing up my hands gesture at about this juncture.)

One additional thing: Why is "Kiki" (hate that moniker also)now calling Michael "Mikey"? She is not his mother, is she???????????????????????
