UPDATE 3:47 PM EASTERN: From ABC and GH's facebook page:
Friday's (4/19/13) episode of GH will air Monday (4/22/13)
Tonight's SOAPNET episode will be a repeat of the Thursday (4/18/13) episode.

Not only are we missing gh to see cops around or drive, but also to see the same thing over and over. They repeat the same thing constantly. Why in GOD'S name are thet airing katie. is so important about her? Ill be the first to say...if there's something new PLEASE INTERRUPT AND LET US KNOW, BUT THERE IS NOTHING NEW!!! This is what happens here every time we have a threat of a hurricane. Every single channel is interrupted and says the same thing. And the worse part is that more often then not, the darn hurricane doesn't come (that's a good thing) but we sat around for two days stairing at each other bc its all news or nothing. I really hate that.

It's not bad enough having to give up watching GH for the day but to add insult to injury it is replaced by the worst crap on the air "The Chew".

akita...I hear ya. News all morning reporting nothing new & at 1 they are showing the flipping chew. UGH WHY where is GH???? ITA IF they have something new to tell us break in but they have no idea where the guy is. They are just showing us empty streets.

poodles...saw the sink holes in Chicago. is that near you. Hope all is well.

I'm thankful that my biggest inconvenience of an attack on the USA and a crowd of innocent people was not being able to watch my soap.

so if you dont get soapnet (like me) whaddya supposed to do?
i agree this was important enuf to preempt when there was something to say..but seriously....i got up this morning with my husband who was fishing in a tournament and had to leave at "first light" which is 5:30-ish AM and they were is now 5:30-ish PM and except for a rerun of the doctors and katie its been constant...i agree we are lucky this is such a little problem compared to the people directly involved..but it is like watching the same ol rerun over and over and over ad nauseum...shame on me i guess but i found myself watching fox just to see something else !hopefully if soapnet does air todays episode they will find a way to offer it to we who can not get back to the "breaking news"

Dare I say we all share a UNANIMOUS opinion on something? Leave it to the knuckleheads at ABC to unite everybody on this board.

What really makes me question the coverage is that for all we know, the bad guys are seeing all this too. Why tip the plans and deployment of law enforcement? Loose lips sink ships.

All we need the newsies to do is to interrupt the show to say:

"One suspect in the Boston Marathon Bombing is dead, and at this time, authorities are conducting a massive manhunt for the remaining suspect who is still at large, and presumed armed and extremely dangerous. Local residents are urged to stay at home until further notice. Details at six, and now back to our regularly scheduled programming."

I know that's old school reportage, but I'm an old school kinda guy.
