    I Accept Your Resignation.

    Monday, October 10 2011
Lucky has it out with Luke, Sonny wonders what could have been, and Olivia's attempt at seduction goes awry.

Upon getting Franco's gift for Josslyn, Carly hightails it over to Shawn's. She panics that Franco is after Jason in Hawaii. Carly says she tried calling both Jason and Sam, but neither one picked up. Shawn offers that maybe they didn't want their honeymoon to be all about her. Carly retorts she hopes Franco doesn't make it all about him. Shawn doesn’t think they should overreact thereby playing into Franco's hands. Shawn leaves a message for Jason and then notices the package was sent from Hawaii, so Franco could already be there. Shawn packs a bag but Carly tells him he can't leave.

In Hawaii, Sam finds Jason lying on the couch and panics thinking he's dead. He's just napping and she notes she's never seen him so off guard before. She then convinces him to put on a Hawaiian shirt. He hates it and tells her he won't wear it in public. After some negotiating, he suggests they go diving the next day and they get frisky on the couch.

Elsewhere, presumably in Hawaii, Franco paints and strategically places a doll in a grass skirt on his canvas.

At the hospital hub, Steve tells someone in Memphis about a job over the phone. Olivia finds him and entices him away from work with the promise of sex. She gives him a key card for a room at the Metro Court and slinks away.

Olivia greets Steve at the hotel room in a sexy tuxedo outfit with fishnet stockings and knee-high boots. There's also a stripper pole in the room. She starts to perform for him, but falls off the pole. Steve laughs and then ices her back. Once Olivia assures him she's fine, they start to kiss and fall back on the bed.

Lucky is less than welcoming upon seeing his father on his doorstep. Luke just wants to get past the ugliness. Lucky already has. Lucky wants him to leave, but Luke says there are things they have to talk about. Lucky recalls that Luke resigned from fatherhood. Lucky says, "Guess what? I accept your resignation." Luke is sorry for the way he talked to him last time. He thought he was doing him a favor. He offers his condolences for Siobhan and tells his son he did a lot of soul searching. He needs a fresh start and hands him an AA pamphlet. He vows he hasn't had a drink in over a month. He wants things to change and will do whatever is necessary. He asks him to take a look at the AA schedule. Lucky isn't receptive and then tells his father Lulu doesn’t need him dropping out of the sky. Luke thinks it should be her decision. Lucky urges Luke to leave and to not look back. Luke won't budge, so Lucky throws Luke's declaration that killing Jake was liberating in his face. Luke tries to defend himself, but Lucky can't get over that. Lucky has nothing to give him. Luke wants them to get through this together and leaves the AA schedule with Lucky before leaving.

Kate finds Sonny sleeping in a chair in Dante's hospital room. She pulls his jacket off his lap and startled, Sonny reacts by pulling his gun on her. After Kate composes herself, they talk about Dante and how Sonny was thinking about what could have been had he known about his son from the beginning. Kate asks him for coffee and they head out. Dante opens his eyes. After grabbing the hospital's god-awful coffee, Sonny and Kate talk about his kids and he thanks her for helping to smooth things over for him. Lulu approaches Dante's door and Kate offers her her job back. Lulu says she's got a lot going on right now. Sonny tries to talk to Lulu, but she is cold towards him because of how he has affected Dante. Kate tries to defend Sonny, but Lulu won't have it. Lulu sits with Dante, who wonders if it felt good for her to get that off her chest. She says she won't let Sonny take advantage of him. Luke approaches the doorway as Lulu tells Dante he helped her let go of her father and now it's his turn. Dante doesn't know how to do that. Lulu leaves him to get some sleep. Meanwhile, Sonny asks Kate to go with him to talk some sense into Michael. She doesn’t know why he thinks Michael will listen to her but she agrees.

In another part of the hospital, Luke waits for Lucky at the AA meeting. Lucky approaches, but walks away as Luke sees him.

I'm sure the stripper pole scene was funny, but it could never be as funny as Doug Heffernan dancing on the stripper pole on King of Queens.

I would have been fine with the Kate recast and bringing back the character if she didn't come back to be yet another woman in Sonny's life to excuse him for being a mobster and horrible father with serious anger management issues. I have no idea what Sonny has in his pants but dangit man, it needs to be marketed!

I think we're seeing Jason slowly letting a little Jason Q. seep into his personality. Sam hasn't picked up on it, but I bet Carly will.

havent seen todays show but wanted to make some observations on Fridays, to me when Ethan was lashing out at Luke I thought "wow this guy can really act" I was almost in tears, and Luke told Ethan that he was happy to see him so defensive of his siblings. now when Jason and Sam came back into the honeymoon suite and Jason paused, to me he was thinking "something is out of place and I cant put my finger on it" I was expecting to see a white lei instead of Francos camera. I agree on James being a good actor I know he scares the bgeesus out of me! people come down on Sonny and Jason for all the dead bodies and never having to go to prison for it, how about Franco, has he ever had a model he didnt kill?? kind of puts a dent in the job description "wanted model for world famous artist, must be willing to die for the job"

    Happy Monday Everyone,

I know Sonny has a lot of issues, but I had to admire the bedside vigil today (and Kate should know better to wake him abruptly). I can’t be sure, but I think he’s on the road to redemption, especially that we now know Dante was wishing for a dad. I guess Santa lost the letter Dante sent from Bensenhurst, but perhaps this Christmas he’ll leave Sonny under the tree along with your future father-in-law Luke. Oh, by the way, does Dante know his mother is Catwoman?

I guess we’re going to have to endure the Spencer children’s rant against Luke until he can give each of them a happily ever after. I’m still thinking Laura may be coming back and I hope she takes each of them to task for the mistakes they’ve made and are now blaming on dear old dad. After all, Luke’s the one who’s been saddled with the kids and their miseries.

4evergh - I remember Franco having Brenda's modeling shots when she was coming back. I'm thinking she might make a nice Hula Girl exhibit.

show is boring; recapping of conversations is getting on my last nerve. What kind of mother thinks about sex and pole dancing when her son in lying in a hospital bed; she is something! (can't use the word here) The writers need to pick up the pace. Even Carly's boring; I used to enjoy her in every scene, but her dialogue seems very forced to me.

    Hello,

I’m Loving JaSam! They are so CUTE. I was off this week and was able to watch live, which is such a treat and something I rarely get to do.

Glad to see Luke paying the price for his actions. There was NO excuse for the way he acted and then just deserted his family. I don’t understand how Jake’s death became all about him. I use to like Luke, but hated that it was him that killed Jake.

Thanks to all who gave Good Luck wishes for the marathon. Poodles and I both appreciated the good thoughts. I just finished reading Poodles post from yesterday and had to laugh at her saying she didn’t qualify for Boston. Team Running with Poodles had runners from several age groups--- most were hoping to qualify for Boston. Poodles and one other runner were in youngest qualifying age group and needed the fastest qualifying time. Around mile 20 I and the others thought we were dying and needed to slow our pace time. Poodles went into her competitive mode and motivated the other runner in her age group to “dig deep” and run with her to the finish line. Because of this, this runner qualified for Boston. She and Dr. Poodles kept running back, making sure others in the group would finish. Our running group had many first time marathoners. I know they appreciated their support and encouragement. My husband said “They are like marines….leaving no man or women behind” I have to agree.

    Happy Posting.

Whoever's writing for Luke and Lucky knows the addictive personality well. Both cannot back down. Both actors are brilliant and show the love underneath so well. Ethan has Luke's number, but Luke doesn't know himself well yet. I was in tears in Luke's scenes with both sons, and I cannot remember when any tv show has moved me so.

Steve is hot, and Olivia is hot, but together they're not, don't know why, but when she was with Johnny and even in the few scenes she had with Sonny, I believed!! Here I see two good actors acting. Sam reaching for a button on Jason's shirt is much more affecting.

Franco who adds to the show imo has said in real life that this kind of drama offers so much connection between the real and unreal--or something like that. I agree. The main thing may be that like life it isn't closed (until it is, of course), and you can't go back and read/watch the whole story over and over knowing its ultimate end. Anyway, I like it.

There are stripper poles in the Metro Court rooms?

    Seriously?

Happy Thanksgiving to all our Canadians viewers. may you have a wonderful gathering with family and friends.

The pole dance was rather funny.
Jason is turning into Jason Q again. Not sure if I like it or not.

Loved the Luke/Lucky conversation, broke my heart to see Lucky so nasty, he is a chip off the old block. And hasn't Luke learned that eavesdroppers never hear the important stuff? He heard Lulu say she had let her dad go, but then didn't hear that she still loved him. Well, I never thought it would be easy, the writer's created a wide swathe of destruction for Luke when he left this spring.

I was gagging at Olivia's stripper pole routine until she fell and the scene took a comic turn. I'm just not that interested in the two of them, or in Steve's mysterious past, at least not yet.

Liking NuKate more, she seems the perfect mix of cool sophistication and city toughness. And no bratty Mikey today, yeah!!
