SHAWN BUTLER'S HISTORY
Shawn is a former marine who suffered from posttraumatic stress disorder. He came to Port Charles as one of The Balkan's henchmen, but quickly changed sides to work with Jason. He was hired by Stone Cold to protect Josslyn from Franco and became close with Carly in the process. He also bonded with Molly over their shared PTSD issues and revealed that before becoming a marine he was a teacher.
Though he tried to leave town a couple of times, he kept getting pulled back into Carly's drama. Fearing Franco was after Jason, Carly convinced Shawn to head to Hawaii where Jason and Sam were honeymooning. Carly of course tagged along despite Shawn's insistence that she not.

Wednesday, June 19 2013: Think Again.
Shawn finds TJ sitting alone in the park worried about what kept him out all night. TJ just needed to clear his head, and shares that he saw Molly kissing Rafe. Shawn suggests he should talk to his mom, but Rafe really doesn't think that's a good idea. Shawn is willing to listen and TJ ends up telling him that he had sex with Taylor. Shawn wishes he had done it with someone he cared about and that he hadn't been drinking. He grounds TJ for drinking and promises not to tell Alexis what happened with Taylor.
Tuesday, June 18 2013: I Can't.
At home, Alexis believes it's only a matter of time before the commissioner builds a case against Shawn. He tells her that she's the only one who knows. She reminds him that he's forgetting about Sonny. Shawn asks what makes her think Sonny was involved and reflects on his confrontation with Carly. He wants to know if Alexis is going to turn him in. She can't, but her decision is because of attorney client privilege. Shawn gets angry knowing a part of her wants to turn him in and he reminds her about how she ran down Kiefer. He's done talking and leaves when Molly comes home.
