Molly is the daughter of Rick Lansing and Alexis Davis, who was born in 2005 in a tunnel following a train crash involving many Port Charles residents.
Her parents divorced years later, with her father winning custody. However, Alexis and Ric eventually worked things out and agreed on joint custody.
Molly was SORASed after Ric left town to live in L.A. Molly has revealed herself to be a very smart young girl with a penchant for math. Carly brings Sonny a drink at his place. She wonders why Rocco is staying over. TJ and Molly interrupt and then leave for the park. Carly asks again what's wrong with Dante and Lulu. He's evasive but she won't stop. Eventually he tells her that Lulu cheated on his son. She finds that hard to believe. Sonny explains that Dante kissed Valerie but she shot him down. He's sure this will blow over. He's more worried about Denise and Morgan. He's already given his son a warning. They go outside to watch the fireworks. He doesn't think anyone has it better than them. They kiss.
Kiki approaches Morgan in the park and tells him that Denise/Ava has told her all about what's going on between her and Franco. As they eat BLTs, she explains that they are a fake couple. She fills him in about Franco's assumption that Denise has the hots for him. Morgan says that's off base. She agrees. He mentions that Denise tipped him off about Michael giving up custody. Meanwhile, TJ and Molly discuss why he agreed to live with Sonny. He changes the subject and pulls out the earrings he got for her. She loves them. They kiss. Across the park, Maxie and Nathan set up their picnic. She rails to him about Valerie. She wants to go back to Dante's to keep an eye on Lulu's rival. He cuffs her to him and reminds her that it's the anniversary of when he fell for her. They have some wine and make-out.
Molly brings TJ a tie in the PCPD holding room. She worried about him all night. The hardest part with him was the blowout with his mom. He informs her about all the stuff with Duke. She wonders if Sonny was involved. Meanwhile, Jordan stands in the office. Ric pops up to taunt her about letting her son stay in jail. She's frustrated but her hands are tied. "Help my son," she begs and threatens. Ric goes in to see his client. Later, Dante arrives and chats with Valerie until a journalist runs in and starts accusing him of being a racist. Valerie tells him he's out of line and a 'shameless hack'. She boots him out. The cop appreciates her having his back. She says that family support each other.
Sonny strolls into the court room. Scott taunts him about putting TJ away. The lawyer is prosecuting him for aggravated battery since the guard's shoulder was injured. Sonny makes a call to Max. Ric, TJ. Molly and Jordan arrive. Ric asks Sonny to help by staying out of the arraignment for the sake of perception. Sonny agrees to stay outside. Scott gets a call. The guard has backed out of pressing charges. Scott could go on but it would be an uphill battle. He frees TJ to go. Jordan exits and finds Sonny. She asks him about the victim doing a 180. "Justice is served. That's all that matters," he says.
