Molly brings TJ a tie in the PCPD holding room. She worried about him all night. The hardest part with him was the blowout with his mom. He informs her about all the stuff with Duke. She wonders if Sonny was involved. Meanwhile, Jordan stands in the office. Ric pops up to taunt her about letting her son stay in jail. She's frustrated but her hands are tied. "Help my son," she begs and threatens. Ric goes in to see his client. Later, Dante arrives and chats with Valerie until a journalist runs in and starts accusing him of being a racist. Valerie tells him he's out of line and a 'shameless hack'. She boots him out. The cop appreciates her having his back. She says that family support each other.
Sonny strolls into the court room. Scott taunts him about putting TJ away. The lawyer is prosecuting him for aggravated battery since the guard's shoulder was injured. Sonny makes a call to Max. Ric, TJ. Molly and Jordan arrive. Ric asks Sonny to help by staying out of the arraignment for the sake of perception. Sonny agrees to stay outside. Scott gets a call. The guard has backed out of pressing charges. Scott could go on but it would be an uphill battle. He frees TJ to go. Jordan exits and finds Sonny. She asks him about the victim doing a 180. "Justice is served. That's all that matters," he says.
At the PCPD, Ric questions TJ about his arrest, while Dante arrives and fills Jordan in on what happened. TJ also explains the story to Molly when he’s given the chance. TJ was on his way to visit Shawn, but stopped to buy Molly a pair of earrings at the department store. The store suspected he stole the credit card and detained him. TJ was late to see Shawn, so he tried to leave, but ended up in a scuffle with a security guard. The guard was knocked down and demanded TJ be arrested. Ric feels this is a case of bias and suggests Jordan dissolve TJ’s arrest record. Later Jordan learns that the press already has gotten a hold of the story, and the mayor is demanding this be handled by the books in order to avoid charges of favoritism. She asks Dante to show her son to a cell.
