Current: Manager at the Metro Court.
Past: Worked at an auto body shop in Bensonhurst, N.Y.
Olivia and cousin Connie grew up like sisters in Bensonhurst, New York. In high school, Olivia dated Sonny Corinthos, but eventually lost him to his true love, Connie. After High School, Connie changed her identity and moved to Manhattan to make a new start. Olivia and the rest of the Falconeri family were hurt and angry.
Years later, Sonny reached out to Olivia and invited her to his wedding to Connie, who was now going by the name Kate Howard. Olivia came to Port Charles and helped her cousin get ready for her wedding. They had their first of many fights on Kate's wedding day about her denying who she really was by changing her name. Connie never married Sonny due to her being shot. Olivia stayed by her side until she recuperated and got a job as the manager of the Metro Court.
Olivia and Kate remained on strained terms, but Olivia also found herself drawn to Sonny. Nothing ever came from their renewed flirtation, as Olivia began a steamy affair with the much younger Johnny Zacchara and she was keeping a huge secret: She got pregnant by Sonny when she 16 years old and never told him about it. She kept her baby, who turned out to be undercover cop Dante Falconeri, who was posing as Dominic Perelli, who was infiltrating Sonny's organization.
Only Kate knew about Dante (and Patrick Drake after Kate let it slip) until Sonny shot Dante after finding out he was cop. Olivia found her son in a pool of blood and screamed at Sonny that he just shot his own son. Dante recuperated of course and Sonny tried to form a relationship with him. Olivia largely stayed out of it and focused on her relationship with Johnny.
Considering their age difference and Johnny's line of work (mobster), the two eventually broke up. Olivia began a flirtation with Dr. Steve Webber, who tended to her when she became seriously injured on the hospital sponsored ski trip they were chaperoning. The bus crashed leaving Olivia with internal injuries. Once brought to the hospital, Patrick operated on her and she survived.
Olivia and Steve began a full fledged relationship, but it became apparent he was hiding something. The arrival of Steve's ex from Memphis, Maggie, only deepened the mystery. It came out Steve pulled the plug on a felon who was in his care so one of Maggie's patients could receive his organs. Olivia stood by her man and tried to get Johnny, who was blackmailing Steve, to back off.
During the same time, Olivia had to deal with Steve's crazy mother Heather who had returned and her unraveling cousin Kate, who developed a split personality Connie.

Franco is closed in on by a couple of goons in the Metro Court elevator. At the bar, Olivia gets drunk and talks trash about Carly. She tries to convince Ned how fun she is, and when she sees Carly she drunkenly accuses her of being wrapped around Sonny’s finger. Upstairs in Sonny’s office, Shawn tells him that Jordan is determined to sleep with Mickey. Sonny tells Shawn that if they don’t want the Jeromes to pick up where Ric left off they have to go through Mickey. Antagonizing him could be trouble down the road, but if Shawn needs to do this, Sonny has his back. After Shawn leaves Carly enters, downs a drink and tells him Olivia verbally assaulted her. Franco didn’t like that Carly sided with Sonny but Sonny doesn’t give a damn. She wants him to at least pretend to be sympathetic and he apologizes. He reveals Ava is no longer in his care, thanks to Julian. Carly wonders if she will try to reach Morgan but he thinks that bond is over and Ava is powerless. Back at the bar, Olivia gets drunker and tells Ned she’s disgusted to be one of the legions of brunettes with boobs who would do whatever Sonny said. Ned was close to Brenda and tells Olivia she was a happier person before Sonny broke her. Olivia declares she’s done with Sonny. “I’m taking me back,” she slurs before breaking into tears. They go to his room and put on a comedy. She starts crying because the name Sonny is in the title. He thinks she’ll start to feel better soon and leaves to get a blanket. A commercial for animals in need comes on and she starts crying all over again. Ned finds her on the phone calling to help. “They would never have sex with Ava,” she wails. He hangs up the phone and takes away her phone privileges. After she sobers up a little she thanks him again for being a good friend. She remembers how crazy Lois was about him. Meanwhile, Mickey stops making out with Jordan in his room and pulls out the recorder she hid. He plays the tape that reveals Jordan is an FBI agent. He pulls his gun on her and tells her it ends here. Outside Shawn almost busts in but decides Jordan knows what she’s doing and leaves. Inside, Jordan battles Mickey with all her might and gets the gun. He threatens to call the boss and blow her cover. She suggests Mickey just make a deal and tell her the boss' name. The phone rings and he tells her that’s the boss right now. Mickey grabs the phone but Julian breaks down the door and shoots Mickey before Jordan can even react. Later, Shawn returns to Sonny’s office and tells him Jordan is a grown woman who can handle herself.
Back at the Metro Court, Ned comforts Olivia in the elevator and asks her to join him for a drink. They go to the bar but when she sees Carly having dinner with Franco she orders her to throw Sonny out of the hotel. Carly refuses. Olivia knew this is how Carly would react and accuses her of always backing Sonny. She says Carly has a thing for Sonny and warns Franco that everyone else is just a temporary dance partner. Ned pulls Olivia away while Carly apologizes to Franco. He points out he isn’t the only one who thinks there is a magical connection between her and Sonny. Carly threatens to be jealous of Nina if he’s going to be jealous of Sonny. He tells her Nina is married. Later, they kiss and Franco gets on the elevator alone. When the doors close two men with guns close in. Meanwhile, Olivia commiserates with Ned.
