Lulu Makes a Call.

Max is in Sonny's home office when Kate comes in. She playfully talks about the slightly kitschy solid gold wedding gift that, if placed properly, she could learn to love. Sonny asks who it's from and she tells him that his friend Karpov sent it. Sonny sits her down and tells her that Karpov is not his friend and he's not doing business with him anymore because he has ties to the mob. Kate has some questions and Sonny assures her that he took care of everything.

Johnny Tug of War.

Kate and Maxie are working at Crimson. Kate stops to tell Maxie that Lulu can have visitors and she is free to go to Shady Brook if she wants. She wants Maxie to pass on that Lulu's job is waiting for her when she returns.

Sonny reports back to Kate about his visit with Lulu. She can see how worried he is and assures him that he is proof that a person can survive mental illness and thrive. Maybe not, Sonny comments. He tells her that he's fine as long as he takes his meds, but admits that there are times when he doesn't want to take them. "I miss that feeling sometimes, the intensity." He reminds Kate that she's never seen him go through a break down and hopefully never will. Kate tells him that they'll manage together and then speaks of "…in sickness and in health."

Ripped Apart.

Over at Sonny's house, Kate apologizes to Jason for jumping to the wrong conclusion but admits to worrying about her own future in all of this. Jason says that he respects her position and promises that he won't be coming back. After he's gone, Sonny clarifies that Jason and he were just trying to work out their friendship, that's all. As they talk, Sasha has shown up and barges into the study against Max's wishes. She apologizes to Kate and Sonny for the intrusion but wants to talk to Sonny. Kate introduces herself, and Sasha introduces herself as the attorney of a coffee importer from Europe. Kate leaves them to their business. The second they are alone, Sonny tells Sasha that he is no longer working with Karpov. Sasha says that an alliance would bring everyone involved peace and profit. Sonny reminds her that Karpov lied about the drugs and that's it. Sasha gives him her card and then leaves.

Johnny Drives to Shady Brook.

Kate is knocking on Jax's door insisting that he help her with an urgent situation at Crimson. Carly scowls and Jax lets her in. Kate apologizes to Carly and then explains a situation that only Jax can handle. Jax agrees to make a phone call and the women look on as he schmoozes his way through the problem. Kate thanks them both again, and then leaves. Jax waits for Carly to yell at him but she says that he'll run for the door if she does, so she will bite her tongue. Jax urges her to be honest, and she says that he walked right into Kate's trap to one-up her. They argue some more until Carly asks if he needs her to give unconditional acceptance of his relationship with Kate for their marriage to work. Jax softens and says that he is just as responsible for where they are. He wants to take things slow and get it right so they don't have to end. Then he kisses her on the forehead and leaves.

Jason shows up at Sonny's for a talk. He starts by saying that he doesn't want any more misunderstandings and that things might get bad if they don't start giving each other the benefit of the doubt. He clarifies that the last thing he wants to do is punish Sonny for what happened to Michael. They finally talk about their motives of late and even better, they finally hear what the other is saying. That's when Kate comes into the room and tells Sonny if he's taking over again she needs to be told.

Sonny Steps to the Forefront.

Maxie rushes into Crimson and faces Kate's questions about her whereabouts. When she hears about Robin's ultrasound Kate admits that her cousin felt the same way when she was pregnant. As Maxie starts to ask about her family, Jax comes in and saves Kate from an inquisition. Kate takes Jax into her office and starts to bring him up to speed on the progress that Crimson is making. She can see that Jax is distracted and he tells her that he left Carly with a sprained ankle without even giving her an ice pack. Kate can't believe that he bought that con.

Jax returns home and finds Carly crying on the sofa with an ice pack on her ankle. Wearing sweat pants and eating junk food, she tells him that he's not supposed to see her like this when she's trying to win him back. He gently touches her hair and says that she is the most beautiful woman in the world to him and he loves her very much. Just then Kate knocks on the door and tells Jax that they have a problem to address.

Lourdes and Logan. Separated at Birth?

Trevor shows up at Sonny's house and Max reluctantly lets him in. He informs Sonny that it's time for him to call in some favors so that Luke's daughter doesn’t get hurt when Anthony brings Johnny home. And if he can't do it, he should tell Jason Morgan to. Kate comes into the room and wants to know what Trevor is doing here? Trevor changes the conversation by asking why she's lowered her standards so much to marry a washed up mobster. He reminds her of how much she loved being kept by him. Sonny tells him to stop insulting his fiancée and stop coming around looking for favors.

After Trevor's gone, Sonny explains that he wanted him to go to Jason to get help in bringing Lulu and Johnny home safely. Kate starts to suggest other avenues for Trevor to use and Sonny seethes that if he were still in the business it would be handled. Kate looks frightened by the severity in his voice, but he assures her that he's not in the business. She decides to talk about something happier instead, so she asks him what he'd like for a wedding gift from her.
