Once Sonny has left, Dante walks in and finds his mother at a table. She invites Dante to bring Lulu over for dinner at Johnny's tonight. Dante thinks their interpersonal relationships are too weird and declines. She lays a guilt trip on him and he says he will think about it. Later, Michael stops in and finds Abby studying. They talk about school and he says he's not going to college because he's an ex-con. Abby thinks there's a way, but he's sick of people buying his way into life. Olivia leaves with Johnny and tells him if he keeps pushing his vendetta against Sonny, he won't be able to get coffee anywhere in Port Charles. Later, Maxie comes to Kelly's and sees Brook outside. Maxie accuses her of drugging Dante and suggests she pack up her things and slink back to Bensonhurst or else she will expose her for the trash she is. As they argue, Johnny walks up. Maxie tells him Brook drugged Dante and leaves. Brook defends herself, but Johnny suggests she just worry about herself and that Maxie will probably forget about this by tomorrow. Ethan shows up after Johnny calls him and the men go inside. Ethan tells Mike Kelly's is neutral territory and Luke would tell him the same thing. Mike relents and gets Johnny his coffee. Sonny walks into Kelly's as Claire asks Mike about Brenda. Sonny sits down with her and suggests she find a loophole to get Jason out of prison. He says it would prove she's not playing games with him and then they could focus on what they could be to each other. Once Claire is gone, Mike comes to talk to his son, reminding him Claire is a federal prosecutor. He asks about Brenda and Sonny says she's been on his mind ever since Robin brought up her name.

Still at Kelly's Mike thinks Sonny is haunted by Brenda's memory because everything was less complicated at that point in his life and he could just focus on her. Mike steps away to take care of a customer, as Claire returns to tell Sonny there's been progress on Jason's case.

Sonny mocks Johnny for hiding behind a woman and Johnny taunts him about Jason being locked up with Michael. Olivia lashes out at them, as they continue to fight. She warns them to stop or else she will call 911 and walks away. Sonny tells Johnny he's out of his league, but Johnny thinks Sonny's time is running out and it's his time now.

    Michael is Sentenced.

    Friday, May 07 2010

Molly helps Morgan with his homework outside of Kelly's and Kristina walks up to tell them the judge is ready to sentence Michael. Mike rushes out and tells them he's off to the courthouse. Molly and Morgan want to go as well, but Kristina doesn’t think that's a good idea. Kristina eventually agrees but only if they hide and they keep quiet. They take off, as Johnny and Olivia come to the restaurant. Johnny gets a call saying the judge will let him speak about Claudia before sentencing.

At the courthouse, Carly and Jason see Dante and Sonny walk in. Dante walks over to Carly and asks her to hear him out about Michael, but it just ends in an argument. The kids secretly come to the courthouse as Sonny argues with Dante about turning Michael in. Sonny says he might not deserve a better son than Dante, but Michael deserves a better brother. Morgan tells Kristina and Molly that after today everyone including Sonny will see Dante isn't the bad guy they all think he is. Lulu approaches Dante who loves her support, but worries it will alienate her from her family further. She's not worried and won't apologize for falling in love with him. Jax, Mike, Diane, Claire, Mayor Floyd, Johnny and Olivia enter the court as the kids observe and comment from their hiding place in the hallway. Court gets underway as Michael is brought in and the judge asks if any of the victim's family would like to speak. Johnny gets up and tries to paint Claudia in a sympathetic light, but says Michael had no choice but to kill her. He says Michael should be the hero in this whole thing because he saved his mother and sister. He adds Claudia would not want to see Michael punished for this and she would forgive him for stopping her. He also says Michael is not responsible for his sister's death – Sonny is. Johnny hopes the judge will be lenient because Michael never meant to hurt his sister. The judge thanks him and Johnny steps down. The judge addresses Michael and sentences him to five years in prison with the possibility of parole in two years. The courtroom erupts and after the judge restores order, Dante pleads with him to let Michael turn his life around with community service and counseling. The judge won't hear of it, but Dante begs him to reconsider out of fear of Sonny's enemies coming after Michael in jail. The judge orders Dante to sit down and sticks by his ruling saying it is a light sentence for taking a life. He hopes Michael uses his time in prison wisely. Sonny takes a turn at trying to change the judge's mind, but to no avail. The judge admonishes the courtroom for the crimes everyone has committed while trying to cover up Michael's guilt, but he has too many other cases to try so watching Michael go to prison will have to be punishment enough. The judge says everyone there is partially responsible for Michael's fate and when he is finally released from prison, he hopes Michael never goes home. Before Michael is led away, a devastated Carly tearfully embraces her son. Outside the courtroom, Michael sees his siblings and cousin who are shocked to learn he's going to prison.
