    At the courthouse, Jax and Claire argue about the case. Carly walks up boasting that Sonny will be a free man. Claire lets it slip about the kiss with Sonny and calls their celebration premature, as Jax looks annoyed. Privately, the women argue and after Claire walks away, Jax confronts his wife about the kiss. Carly insists it was just a thank you for perjuring herself to save him. She declares she would do anything to protect her kids and if he can't deal with it then he married the wrong woman. Court gets back in session and Ronnie is called to the stand. Coleman stands up calling it a joke that Ronnie is the best surprise witness Claire can come up with and accuses her of dragging things out. The judge orders Coleman off the case and locks him up until the end of the trial. Sonny is dismayed to lose his one sure vote, but Claire looks pleased. Ronnie takes the stand to offer proof of Michael being on the island instead of a backpacking trip. Once he's done, Claire and Diane give their closing statements. The judge gives the jury their instructions and sends them off to deliberate, where Alice asserts her position of power. Still in the courtroom, Diane and Carly both notice Jason has been trying to call them. Sonny thinks it's a bad sign and assumes things will only get worse.

    Kate and Coleman walk out of his sequestered hotel room in the Metro Court and make out. They get caught by the judge and Kate scampers off. The judge orders Coleman to use some restraint or he will have to live with the repercussions.

    In court, the judge reminds everyone to be on their best behavior and lets the jury know this isn't reality TV and no one will not be voted off the island for causing trouble. Johnny is recalled to the stand and is questioned about the night of Claudia's party. Once he's done, Johnny is unhappy he didn’t get the chance to tell the jury what Sonny said to Claudia that night, but Claire assures him she got what she wanted from him. Robin takes the stand, as Patrick sits in the back. Robin talks glowingly about Sonny and how he treated Stone and created the AIDS memorial wing at the hospital. Diane thinks Robin may have saved Sonny's character, but Sonny knows Claire isn't finished yet. Claire starts to turn things around when she asks Robin what Sonny said about Claudia at the party. Robin is forced to admit Sonny called Claudia derogatory names and that he said, "Claudia has lied to us for the last time."

    Kristina cries in court as the judge restores order, following Johnny and Sonny's outbursts. As the judge chastises everyone, Johnny sees Kristina in tears in the back of the room. The judge notices as well and asks if she is okay, prompting Sonny to turn around to see his emotional daughter. Kristina leaves the courtroom and Sonny tries to follow her, but the judge warns he will find him in contempt if he steps out of line. He calls a recess but instructs that no one is to leave the courthouse. Everyone leaves expect for the lawyers. The judge orders Diane to control her client and warns Claire not to manipulate or provoke things like she just did again. Out in the hall, Sonny confronts Johnny who thinks Kristina should know who her father really is. Court reconvenes, but the judge dismisses everyone until tomorrow. He then sequesters the jury. Coleman does his best to get himself thrown off the jury, but the judge doesn't bite.

    Inside the courtroom, Claire calls Johnny to the stand and the judge chastises Coleman for talking with Lisa. He suggests Coleman listen to the evidence before he renders a verdict. Claire questions Johnny about Claudia's relationship with Sonny. Kristina sits in the back of the room, as Johnny talks about Claudia's accident and miscarriage. Johnny then says Sonny abused Claudia, which makes Sonny go off. The two argue as the courtroom explodes into chaos.

    In court, Claire questions Dante about his shooting and he sticks to his story. She then questions him about the night of Claudia's murder and asks if he thinks there was a witness to the murder. After trying to dodge the question, Dante is forced to admit he believes Michael witnessed it. Dante is dismissed and runs out of the courtroom. Lulu follows him and he fears he just ruined his brother's life. Back in court, the judge instructs the jury not to discuss the case with anyone and adjourns. Sonny asks Diane about Michael and Diane thinks by keeping him in hiding Sonny is essentially admitting his guilt. Alice and Coleman muse on where Michael is as Garrett approaches them to urge them to lock Sonny up and throw away the key. Lisa brings Garrett to task for doing so and walks away. Dante tells Lulu he loves her and her presence helped him get through his testimony. She leaves as Dante lashes out at Claire for making him bring up Michael. She knows what kind of misery Michael is about to absorb, but blames Dante for throwing him under the bus.

    Floyd walks into court and trades barbs with Diane. Claire walks in and finds Jax and tells him she's prosecuting this case for herself and not for him, but promises he won't be disappointed. Alice and Lisa report for jury duty, as a dressed up Coleman appears with Kate as well. He thanks her for the wardrobe and for the moral support, but doesn't think he will get picked to be on a jury. Alice is excited to do her civic duty, but Lisa isn't as enthusiastic and thinks she'll be excused anyway because she's a surgeon. Sonny walks up and sees Kate kissing Coleman goodbye. He questions her choice in men, but she doesn't want to talk about it with him and just wishes him luck. Sonny walks into court and the jury selection process gets underway, with Lisa, Alice and Coleman all getting picked. Opening statements are made and Diane says Sonny did in deed kill his wife.

    Kate comes to Jake's and plants a kiss on Coleman. She thinks it's time for her to reevaluate her priorities since her assistant landed in the hospital. He asks her how he can get out of jury duty because he doesn’t want to get up early in the morning, it will take away from their afternoon lovin and he doesn't want to decide some guy's fate who was dumb enough to get caught. Kate tells him showing up to do one's civic duty is hot and she will help him with his wardrobe.

    At Jake's, Maxie waits for Spinelli and for their night of Honky Tonk lovin', as Johnny limps in and orders a bottle of whiskey. Maxie walks over and asks if he's hurt, but he says he hasn't felt this good in a long time. Spinelli shows up and tells Maxie about what happened at Bernie's office and realizes the perpetrator was Johnny because of his limp. He fears to Maxie that Johnny will end up destroying himself, but Maxie understands he needs to make Sonny pay for his sister. Maxie thinks Johnny's level of devotion to his cause is inspiring. At the bar, Coleman reminds Johnny Jake's is neutral ground so he doesn’t want any problems, but warns going up against Sonny could be hazardous to his health. Ethan joins Johnny at the bar and learns he didn't get in the door to get the cash. Johnny adds that Lucky stopped him, but he got exactly what he wanted. Johnny thinks this will make Sonny scramble to move a major piece of his business, which will take a lot of time and major resources. Ethan goes off to find Bernie's secretary, whom he was impressed with, as Spinelli worries Maxie is still drawn to dark and reckless men. She assures him that is so last year and that nothing is more badass than a jackal. Johnny then sees Lucky standing at the end of the bar in the mask he used while tampering with Bernie's office.

    At Jake's, Patrick continues to discuss his marriage with Lisa and how there is a barrier between Robin's past and present. Lisa wonders if he told Robin about everything in his past and they recall some old times. Coleman walks up and they all decide to play darts. Patrick and Lisa get feisty and Patrick says he never met a girl as competitive as him and she admits they were a good balance together. Patrick tells her she was the perfect girl for a guy who never wanted to fall in love. Robin walks into Jake's to see Lisa lying on the bar and Patrick pouring a shot in her mouth.
