Jerry finds Kate at a table in the Metro Court dining room and joins her, uninvited. He tells her that Sonny paints him out to be worse than he really is. Kate tells him that if he wants Sonny off his case, he should amuse himself with someone other than Carly. Jerry asks if she has any suggestions.
Will Dillon Leave PC?
Sam asks Alexis for help. She wants to go see Jason and they won't let her in at Pentonville! Alexis can't help her, though. Alexis asks Sam to let her help, but Sam says she needs to see Jason for personal reasons. Sam is too worried, though and convinces Alexis to try to get her in to see him. Alexis leaves. Later, Amelia arrives, telling Sam to get to work! She is under contract and Amelia expects her to continue working. She threatens to tell the police and Liz and Lucky about Sam's peripheral involvement in Jake's kidnapping. "I expect you at work on time," Amelia says, reminding Sam that her job is the only thing she has left. She leaves. Sam goes to the bar where she runs into Jerry. He asks to join her!
Carly is trying to get Michael ready for camp but he doesn't want to go. He wants to spend more time with Jerry! Jerry walks in, supporting Michael's choice to hanging out at the lake. Carly shuts them both down and sends Michael to his camp bus. Angry, Carly tells Jerry to back off her kids! Alexis arrives with papers for Carly to sign. Carly has no idea what she is talking about. Alexis hands the papers over. They are a power of attorney that she needs to sign so Alexis can send a money transfer to Jax wherever he is. Carly doesn't sign, realizing that the papers must be a scheme of Jerry's. Alexis leaves. Carly tells Jerry that whatever he is planning won't work because she knows Jax didn't contact Alexis. Jerry plays it cool, not admitting to anything. He leaves.
Fireworks.
Carly finds Jerry enjoying brunch at the Metro Court. She tells him not to invite her boys anywhere ever again. He says that his two new nephews need someone to help them celebrate since Jax is off gallivanting about. He says that it's bad parenting to deny them a chance to have fun. Carly winds up and slaps him across the face. Jerry shakes it off and says that he's trying very hard to make peace with her. She says that she wants to know where Jax is then she wants him to disappear. He says that things would be easier for Jax if they could just find a way to get along and a boat ride would be a good start. Carly says that she doesn't want to be stuck in the middle of the lake with him. Jerry says if it makes her feel better, she can take a gun. "I will," Carly promises.
Jerry brings Carly and the boys home after boating. Michael was thrilled with his day and Carly tells him to go get ready for the fireworks at the Metro Court. Then she tells Jerry that she hates him and she always will. "I expect nothing less," he says as he leaves.
Jason Goes to Prison.
In the boiler room, Carly tells Jerry that she hates him for how he treats Jax. "Did it ever occur to you that I might want him to hate me because he'd be better off if he did?" Jerry says. Just then a Metro Court employee rushes in and says that Mr. Corinthos called and told them to check the boiler room. Carly rushes upstairs and tells her employees to change the locks on all the doors. Then she calls Sonny to say that she's okay. He asks if Jerry had anything to do with it and she said no. After he hangs up with Carly, Sonny tries to explain to Kate how complicated the Jerry situation is. He states that if that psycho goes anywhere near his children he will stop him. Kate comments that it's nice that he's so protective of Carly and the boys. "Whatever you had…it must still be alive," she murmurs.
Jerry and Carly are still arguing at the Metro Court when Diane comes to tell her that Jason is going to Pentonville tonight. Carly rushes out the door and soon Kate comes in. She runs into Jerry as she walks through the lobby. He invites her for a drink and she turns him down. "Sonny told you I was a psychopath, didn't he?" Jerry says as he grabs her by the arm.
Jason Brings Jake Home.
Carly is yelling so that someone will let her out of the boiler room, and Jerry tells here that they have an hour before a custodian comes by. He wants to spend the time to "get things straight." He explains that Sonny threatened to cut his heart out earlier and Carly tells him that he doesn't have a heart. He says if he was a true psychopath he would be killing her right at this very moment and not think a thing of it. Jerry explains that the hostage crisis got out of control and it was all strategy and nothing more. Carly tells him that Alan Quartermaine died because of him and Jerry says that he is not responsible for an old man's heart. He says that he would've killed Sonny if he truly wanted someone dead because he posed the biggest threat. Carly isn't buying any of his explanations for his behavior and when he's not looking, she picks up a wrench and makes an attempt to whack him on the head with it. Jerry's too quick for her however, and he catches it midair. They struggle for a second and she finally gives up. She contends that Jerry was at the Metro Court to hurt people. He says that he was imprisoned for far longer and in much worse place than a first-rate hotel. He tells Carly that he wouldn't have let the Metro Court situation get much worse because he knows how to recognize when people are about to break, "like I did." He goes so far as to admit that he should've let Alan go for help sooner and that he made some bad judgment calls. Carly says that IF he endured watching his girlfriend die all those years ago, it still doesn't justify what he has done.
Jerry has fallen asleep and Carly is watching him. He's having a nightmare in which his girlfriend is shot right in front of him and he's unable to do anything about it. He wakes himself up with a scream.
Jason and Amelia Team Up.
Sonny has Jerry in his office and is warning him to stay away from Carly and his sons. When Jerry's mouth continues to run, Sonny punches him in the gut. Jerry says that he sent Jax away so that he wouldn't be caught in the middle because "like it or not, you and I are practically family." Sonny punches him again and Jerry explains that he wants to be a part of Jax's life and has no intentions of hurting Carly or the boys. He says that he came forward as Jerry so that James Craig and his crimes could "die a natural death." Sonny gets right in Jerry's face and tells him that he's still breathing, but warns that Jerry should "…consider me provoked."
