    Maxie Covers Some Ground!

    Tuesday, September 23 2008

Lulu goes in to see Laura and laments over how crazy she is turning out to be. She thanks her mother for helping her to overcome her guilt over killing Logan, even though their time together was all in her mind. (Outside Laura's room, there's a shadow as someone eavesdrops on Lulu's confession.) She promises her mother that she will fight for her sanity so that she can live the full life that Laura would have wanted for her.

    So That's Olivia!

    Monday, September 22 2008

"Mom, please wake up," Lulu begs Laura to say hello to her sons, who have come out to Shadybrook to see her. Laura remains asleep, so Lucky and Nik assume that Lulu has been hallucinating Laura's recovery. When Lainey comes into the room and knows nothing of Laura's new status, the boys are sure of it. Lulu explains about the LS49 and how Dr. McGuiness spoke to them this morning. Lainey checks the chart and says that there's no Dr. McGuiness on staff and Laura's file says nothing about any recovery. At Lulu's urging, Lainey agrees to administer some tests. After she's gone, Lulu thinks that she has truly lost her mind because none of it was real. Nik walks Lulu back to her room and tries to make her feel better. He reminds her that he had visions of Emily for months and points out that seeing Laura helped her, right?

    Friday, September 19 2008

Laura and Lulu are talking together at Shadybrook. Lulu asks why she suddenly wants to talk to her sons. Laura assures her that she doesn't feel herself slipping, she just thinks it might be time to be a family again. Lulu couldn't agree more.

Nikolas and Lucky meet Lulu outside of Laura's room and want to know what the emergency is. Lulu is beaming as she tells her brothers that Laura asked her to call them, and then explains that their mom has been awake the whole time she has been across the hall from her. They all rush inside, but Laura is sleeping. Lulu assures them that this sometimes happens. However, the more Lulu tries to wake her, the more worried the boys become.

Dr. Guinness has stepped into Laura's room at Shadybrook. Laura introduces Lulu to him and gives him permission to discuss her case with her. Lulu shakes his hand and then asks why she's the only person in the building who knows Laura is awake? The doctor explains that LS49, the drug that Laura was given two years ago, was only a trial and no one really knows what the long-term outcome will be. He says that some of the patients who relapsed are beginning to wake up, but no one knows why. He explains that before Laura relapsed, she signed a document so that Nikolas wouldn't be called if she should wake up. Laura explains that she didn't want to burden her guardian and wanted to make her own decisions. Lulu asks how long they can expect to have Laura alert this time? He says that she could live a perfectly normally life, or she could fade away. After the doctor leaves them to talk, Lulu apologizes to her mother for doubting her.

Back at Shadybrook, Lulu goes into Laura's room and finds her sleeping again. Laura wakes up and assures her that she feels different this time. She says that she's been thinking and that it's not fair to ask Lulu to keep such a big secret from her brothers. "It's time to tell your brothers that I woke up," Laura says.

    Lulu Starts to Wonder.

    Wednesday, September 17 2008

When Lulu returns to her room, she finds a note from Johnny. He tells her that he loves her, but doesn't want to interfere with her treatment. She puts the note down and walks across the hall to see her mother. Laura is sleeping, so Lulu starts to leave. Laura wakes up and calls her back into the room. Lulu says it's scary to see her sitting in that chair, and then wonders aloud if Laura ever really woke up. Laura clarifies that she can get out of the chair whenever she wants to. Lulu says that maybe she needed her mother so much that she invented her. She says that since Laura doesn't want to see her brothers, maybe she's just another of her hallucinations.

    Liz Makes a(nother) Move!

    Friday, September 12 2008

Laura is sitting with Lulu out at Shadybrook. Lulu is very worried about what's going on at Johnny's trial. Laura tries to comfort her by reminding her of her words right before she got sick again. Lulu recalls that she promised to live life fully as best she can. Laura seems pleased that Lulu remembered. She's tired though, and leaves for a nap. Nikolas shows up to give Lulu and update about the trial. Nik says you can love Claudia or hate her, but she just may have saved Johnny's life.

Scott Calls Lulu to the Stand.

    Wednesday, September 10 2008

Lulu and Laura meet up in the Shadybrook gardens. Lulu is agitated because Johnny is facing the death penalty all because of her. She says that if she just gets on the stand she can fix everything. Laura says that it sounds like Johnny has a bit of a rescue complex like Luke does and maybe she should respect his choice to protect her. She reminds Lulu that Johnny took the blame from the beginning and probably has a plan like Luke would. Then she says that Lulu can hear her advice or not, it's up to her.

After Laura leaves Lulu to think, Nik shows up and tells Lulu that he's taking her out of the country. He says that she can recover in Switzerland and Lulu asks why he wants her to go all of a sudden. Then she figures out he knows that she killed Logan. Nikolas admits it and then says that Johnny came up with the idea to keep her from testifying (and confessing in the process). After Nik leaves, Laura returns and finds out that Nikolas wants to get Lulu out of the country. She says it's a good idea, but Lulu doesn't want to leave her. "It's Johnny you don't want to leave," Laura wisely says. She asks Lulu what Johnny would want her to do and says they both know he would want to protect her. "Let him!" Laura says firmly.
