At the gym Shawn gets Sonny ready for the photo shoot. Sonny shares he is not giving up on Kate. They spar and discuss Michael. Sonny speculates he went to the Quartermaine’s for Christmas when Michael walks in and tells him he is wrong. He tells Sonny that A.J. told him what happened. Sonny says he will hurt Michael, but Michael says he will give A.J. a chance. Sonny wishes Michael a Happy New Year since he didn’t get to wish him a Merry Christmas. Kristina, Trey and Alexis show up and share the news about the move to L.A. Michael questions what they are doing and then says he’s happy if she’s happy. Sonny is quiet. Kristina asks him to say something. He says, "Over my dead body."
Enough To Move To L.A.?
Kristina brings Trey to Sonny’s for Christmas Eve. When she says she likes being with him he asks, "Enough to move with me to L.A.?" Alexis and Shawn listen to Sonny’s concerns about a Christmas without Connie and the possibility of Michael having Christmas at the Quartermaine’s. Alexis assures him he is right letting Michael make his own decisions. Sonny won’t pressure Michael by calling to see if he is coming. He greets Kristina and Trey. Other partiers arrive. Max takes Ellie’s coat and Milo checks her out when she arrives with Dante and Lulu. Kristina tells Alexis Molly is at the soup kitchen. Olivia arrives and says her radar is a little off when he asks if she has any insight into what Michael might do. Ellie gets a text from Spinelli that he is delayed. Sonny toasts his guests, celebrating the coming baby for Dante and Lulu, and to remember Jason. He stops as Connie barges in to join them with a "Merry Freakin’ Christmas." Ellie receives another text from Spinelli that he is delayed again. Sonny tells Max and Milo it is Christmas, Connie can stay. She confronts Trey, but is nice to him. Sonny calls Michael. Outside Ellie bumps into Spinelli as she leaves Sonny’s and breaks up with him. Kristina joins Trey on the terrace and says she will go to L.A.
Abreast Of His Comings.
Sonny meets Carly at Kelly’s and tells her how AJ set him up. He knew Michael was coming by and walked in on Sonny pounding AJ’s face. Carly regrets missing it. Sonny thinks they should butt out and let AJ screw it up like he always does. Sonny believes in Michael and Carly tells him the wonderful man Michael has turned into is all because of Sonny. "And Jason," Sonny says. She agrees. Sonny leaves to be with Dante. Later, Alexis tells Carly that no matter how she feels about her she is a good mother.
At the hospital, Ellie overhears Spin telling Maxie he is there to see her first and foremost on her big insemination day. Ellie runs off and Mac takes Maxie to meet Lulu and Dante. Alexis is also there with a contract for Maxie. Maxie thinks Lulu doesn’t trust her. Lulu assures her it is just a formality and will protect her too, in case something happens to them. Dante assures Maxie they trust her completely and Maxie enthusiastically signs. Meanwhile, Spin realizes Ellie is mad at him. When Maxie is about to be wheeled in for the insemination Spin is not there and Olivia tells her he ran off after Ellie. Later, Sonny shows up and Dante and Lulu tell them everything went well and should know in a few days if it worked.
Hot Spots.
Alexis meets Molly and TJ at Kelly’s with the manuscript. She is upset by how pornographic it is. Each part is more graphic than the next. Molly looks it over and drops it like a hot potato. Connie sexed up her book! Alexis heads over to Manning Enterprises to negotiate while TJ and Molly get a better look at Connie’s additions. Molly is grossed out but TJ is engrossed. He is no expert but he knows hot when he reads it. She asks him to pick out one part and explain why he likes it.
Connie tells Todd in their office that she thinks Johnny is ratting himself out as they speak. They need a plan if Johnny goes to the cops. Todd wants to take his chances. Connie guesses Johnny has proof that Todd was involved in the baby swap. She starts chanting hysterically that Todd switched the babies when Alexis walks in and overhears. Todd tells her there is no shred of proof to show he did. She threatens to take him to civil court, and if he publishes the book, she will sue. She offers him a chance to settle and if what she heard when she walked in is any indication of how messy it will get, she suggests he take her offer. Alone with Connie, Todd agrees to help her get Johnny to change his mind.
Shawn interrupts a flustered TJ and Molly at Kelly’s. Alexis arrives and tells them Connie and Todd denied everything but they will pay for this.
Starting To Sweat.
Kristina and Alexis ambush Sam with Christmas decorations at the penthouse. Trey delivers the tree and Kristina walks him out. Outside, Trey tells Kristina he is leaving Port Charles right after the New Year to work on a film set. He had been hoping they could find their way back to each other. She was hoping that too. He asks her to come with him. She doesn’t have to decide now, but it feels right to him. She’ll think about it and they kiss. Alone with Alexis, Sam tells her how she blew up at John but have smoothed things over. He is at PCPD assigned to find the person who shot Jason. Sam will live on faith as long as it takes. Later, Alexis brings down Danny in a Santa outfit and Sam is ecstatic. She thanks Alexis for always being there for her. Molly arrives and tells Alexis to sue Connie.
All-Around Dirtbag.
Sonny and Shawn spar at the gym. Alexis gets a call to help Robert and runs into Val Chmerkovskiy on her way out. He asks her out and she would love to, but she is seeing someone. Later, AJ arrives and brags that Diane got him off. It is so great to be able to go anywhere he wants. He asks if Shawn is Jason’s replacement. Sonny calls AJ an all around dirtbag. AJ and Sonny fight about Michael. AJ tells him there is enough room in his life for both of them. Sonny challenges AJ to a few rounds and he agrees. While AJ suits up he sees a text from Michael saying he is coming over. He hops in the ring and antagonizes Sonny until Sonny starts pummeling him. Michael runs in and sees the beat down. He doesn’t even know who Sonny is anymore.
At PCPD John leaves a message for Anna that Faison is alive. Alexis arrives and is glad to see he got a job, for him and Sam. She can’t believe Robert’s story about Faison and asks to see him. Meanwhile in his cell, Dante tells Robert that Faison is alive and in Switzerland. Luke told Robert about the clinic – he was there and so was Anna, lured there by hope that Robin was alive. Robert is convinced it was a setup to lure Anna there. Alexis warns him that he needs to do exactly what she says. Later, Dante fills John in on the fact Anna has been to the Swiss clinic with Luke. John can’t get in touch with Anna – all calls are going to voicemail. Dante calls the mountains where they think Anna is but learn she is not there. Lavery canceled the reservation. Robert blames himself for spouting off his mouth. Robert tells John never met a fed who didn’t want to be a spy. This is his big chance.
