The Past Is A Funny Thing...

    Thursday, February 07 2008

In his office, Sonny can't get his night with Claudia out of his mind. Max comes in and Sonny asks him to pick Michael up from school. Jason arrives, distracted, but says he'll find Moreaux for Sonny. He suggests they back off, though, until Sonny is over Kate! This annoys Sonny more; he tells Jason about the visit to Anthony Zacchara. Then, Sonny insists that Jason find out what was going on at Alcazar's old properties. Sonny brings up Mystery Woman, saying Jason may need to find her, too. Jason is thrown. Liz calls, breaking up the meeting. She and Jason set up a meeting at the safe house. Sonny doesn't want Jason to leave but he does anyway! Max returns with Michael. Sonny pulls Michael's gun out and asks about it. He tells Michael to promise to stay away from guns; Michaels says he'll promise as long as Sonny promises that the TMK won't come to their house! Sonny won't make that promise and orders Michael to stay away from guns, saying that he and Jason can keep the family safe. Michael doesn't believe him.

    Hello, Daddy!

Jason tells Carly that Coop may not be guilty. Michael listens for a second and then returns upstairs. Carly doesn't believe him but Jason points out that Letitia and Emily didn't receive text messages before they died. Then he suggests that Coop didn't kill himself! Carly begins to wonder what might be going on. She becomes nauseated and tells Jason she just hasn't been eating right. Jason leaves. Carly hears a thump upstairs and hurries up; she asks Michael what is going on and he says he dropped a book (it was actually a gun!). Carly tells Michael that the cook is downstairs and so is the nanny but that she has to leave for a while.

Michael is listening to Carly and Jax talk about Coop being the text message killer. Carly and Jax are relieved that the killer has been caught. The conversation turns back to baby-making; Jax says no matter what happens he is perfectly happy with the family they have now. Jax leaves. Carly calls Michael downstairs so they can talk about the killings. Michael says Carly doesn't have to worry any more because he is going to protect her. Carly tells him not to worry because the killer is gone; Michael is still worried about "bad guys" getting to his mom. He goes back upstairs.

Jason goes to Carly's. Neither notices that Michael is listening as Jason says Coop may not have been the text message killer.

The teens in the alley are taunting Michael for going to them for a gun instead of his father. Finally, they hand over the gun and ask who he's going to "waste". As Michael walks away, they remind him that he needs bullets and to call them when he has the money. As they walk away, Michael takes aim at them and promises that he will.

    A Shocking Purchase.

    Friday, January 25 2008

Michael is hanging around on the waterfront waiting for someone and finally, two teenage boys arrive. Michael asks about "the stuff" and the boys ask what he needs. Later, Michael and Morgan show up at the hospital to "hit Grandma Bobbie up" for a donation for a school fundraiser called "Dollars for Dolphins." Next they go to Kelly's to ask Grandpa Mike to contribute. As soon as they leave, Michael gives Morgan his cut and then makes him promise not to tell anyone about their little project.

Michael meets the guys again and hands over a wad of cash. In turn, they hand over a handgun.

    Tension. Sexual and Otherwise.

    Thursday, January 24 2008

Michael has sneaked into Sonny's office. He reaches for a gun in Sonny's desk drawer. Jason comes in and asks what he is doing out of school. Michael quickly closes the drawer and says he missed his dad, that's all. He tries to segue smoothly into a discussion about why no one has caught Leticia and Emily's killer. Jason takes the gun from the drawer and says, "Is that why you were trying to take this?!?" Michael says that's how he and his dad make people go away! Jason talks to him about good and bad choices and says that holding a gun does not make him a man. He tells him to go back to school and do something with his life. Michael nods his head and leaves. Then Jason locks the gun drawer.

Michael comes back into Sonny's office and finds the gun drawer locked. He tries to use a letter opener, but can't open it. Jason sees the whole thing.

Carly has planned a romantic afternoon with Jax, but it's quickly interrupted when Sonny escorts in a delinquent Michael. It seems that he beat up a kid at school for calling Sonny a gangster. Jax and Carly quickly snap out of their mode and join Sonny in playing parent. Jax speaks up and makes the most sense with talk of setting a good example for Morgan. Sonny seems happy for the help and when Michael finally sees the error of his ways, they go back to Sonny's house. Carly and Jax try to resume their afternoon plans, but Jax gets a call to report to the Metro Court to deal with an issue.
